I bought some BTG, look like the miner today are not sure about segwit2x... Guys anyone can suggest if Hold BTG ( today lose 15% ) or fold it?

I suggest you hold it still unless it goes beyond 30% have a little faith and trust because bitcoin is still growing in my opinion and you will have your proper earnings eventually.

Oh man you have to fold. This Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash and SegWit2X are called forkcoins, as they are forks of the Bitcoin source code. In other words they copied the code and tried to add "improvements" to their own coin. Thing is that coin has no developer team that comes even close to The Bitcoin Core developer team, which by the way is extremely decentralized and only moves forward through rough consensus. That's a strong network with security.

I am curious because people told me it would fall after the BTG fork but look where it is now.

These are free money you should have sold it earlier but now it is not a good time to sell it. I would wait for the pump then sell it and convert it to bitcoins. Bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold are just altcoins don't invest or hold it for long term.

Honestly, why would you buy BTG? It's got a huge premine, they lie to their users (Their website claimed to have replay protection but they only just implemented that yesterday (https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU/issues/51)), and it just generally isn't that great.

Since there is already 2 forks with bitcoin there is a higher chance of it going down so I suggest you fold it, you might lose more if you stay still. There are lots of coins there that are more promising that Bitcoin Gold, therefore it is better to fold then try other coin than for you to have more chances of profit. This is just my opinion tho.

Why did you bought BTG? It's much better if you had bought some bitcoin. These miners are really looking for something that will always be in their favor and if I were you if you are sticking to the fork coins I would even choose the bitcoin cash, it has a big increase and much preferable by the miners. If you want to cut your losses with -15% sell it but if I were you, time will come that you can recover that but no idea on how long you have to wait.

In my opinion, You should hold BTG as price is too low now but it is expected to increase by end of DEC'17.
Fork coins does not get much benefits, investors want BTC to remain in its original form and does not want much garbage on BTC blockchain.
Bitcoin cash price has also recovered quite surprising from last week so we can expect other BTG price  will also get recover soon.

I think you should get rid of BTG as soon as possible. I don't find any opportunity in this coin. Its better to exit and invest this money in some other coin that can give some return and recover all your losses.

I am not a professional trader whatsoever but I don't really like that BTG because it is only a copy cat of Bitcoin and it has a low value upon the release of it because no one really believes on its fate, I think segwit2x split coin is much more worth to invest with as the predicted price of it is $1k.

Fold is the move for me, do it as soon as possible while the price of it doesn't go down yet or else you will regret it at the end. Again I am not a professional but everything can happens in the future, who knows maybe it grows.

If you want to hold, considered that as a loss now so that you will not expect something in return and "HOPE" that someday it will grow.

If you want to fold, don't mind the losses and minimized it.

At the end of the day, you are the one who can decide what's the best thing to do. Gather any infos that can help you analyze what must be done.

Its too risky to buy the forked coins now.  Look at bch all who bought it was loss terribly. Wait for it to dump a lot before buying. As you already bought the coins its up to you if you want to sell it or hold it.  It might pump after the fork.

Btg is shitcoin. Don't look at bch thinking btg can do the same. bch can easily become new BTC after s2x split because it has more sophisticated difficulty adjustment algo, which is critical for miners when making decision on where to apply their hashrate.

Btg is just money out of thin air....

bitcoincash and bitcoingold are different though they are both forked coins that came from the hardfork. bitcoincash has more valuable  because of its high price and it was also prefer by miners, also bitcoin cash has its own wallet and can be withdrawn instanlty right after they distrubeted after the fork but not on bitcoin gold that cureently dont have its own wallet, no real developments/projects and no replay protection. probably it wont pump either after the fork rather it will tottaly dumped.

Losing 15% in just one day is more enough reason to sell it. The community already decide that they will continue to hold bitcoin and also rejected segwit2x that will show new altcoin being an airdrop just like BCC an BTG they can make copies of bitcoin but the community gets to decide which thry want to use. This why i love decentralized currencies.

Sell your BTG, it maybe worth trading it in a few months but for now you should dump it hard.

I would suggest for you to sell your BTG because it is not worth it. It is just another pump and dump altcoin. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing you’ll keep this coin.

Most people don't have a way to experience/discuss the psychology of economics/trading in a conscious way, so that alone is a value of bitcoin/cryptocurrencies. Smug know-it-alls laugh at bitcoin people for their lack of understanding of economics, money, monetary policy, etc but how are people supposed to learn? Stuffy econ 101 classes that are completely detached from reality? Who knows, bitcoin might even 'prove' some economic theories about deflationary currencies are not correct when applied to an imperfect live test

if you sell in a state of loss it can get rid of your bitcoin and disturb your patience, if I think personally you better hold up until you get a profit and you do other activities so that your mind can focus and you practice to invest in the long term, and profit will come to you.

If I were you I go hold..Im not an expert on trading bit everytime I decide to by token I never let it go unless I reach my target profit. Sometimes its also a good decision to cutloss but with regards to btg there a big chance it can still pump a little after some time just wait for it.

FODL. My short term prediction is that people will dump their BTG acquired through the fork (putting it back into BTC) thus drive up BTC even more. Same thing happened after the B Cash fork. Then people will sell BTC into altcoins like ETH, LTC, and even B Gold.

Keep this in mind, most alt-coins pump at least once after creation. I would advise people to hold until the first pump for maximum profit, unless you're desperate for cash or think it won't pump at least once.

 If  I have some btg  I  will  hold  it  until the first pump for maximum profit!

not trying to shit on you (dont know how much you purchased, might not be a laughing matter to you  ;) ) but you messed up when you purchased the btg  :D

but seriously, if you purchased into this asset at this early point in its life, surely you were prepared for more volatility than this. you purchased it before it has found its price, you should probably be prepared to sit on it for a least a little while, of course its going to be a bumpy ride.

a tip for the future; you might want to wait at least 2 or 3 months before you significantly invest into a forked alt. everyone got them; there is no reason to hold them during uptrends as anyone can take profit at anytime.

BTG is just a shitcoin and i'm really surprised to see you that you have bought that coin.Its clear that you don't have clear knowledge about bitcoin.

BTG does not have most of big exchanges support.It does not have any miner support.The source code is not publicly available.

Better sell it to some one who would even want to buy that coin.

And in future,never buy such forked coins as they may be dumped suddenly at any time.

bitcoin gold is a coin that is generated from hard fork bitcoin yesterday, like bitcoin cash, so you can to save or have stock bitcoin gold for your investment. so you should hold it to get a lot of profit.

I only hodl Bitcoin, and I sell airdrops and forks for BTC, i.e. fold. So I guess the answer is simple:

BTC: Hodl
BTG: Fodl (TM)

To profit from Bitcoin gold, it is necessary to keep it for a long time because some stock exchanges have not yet distributed the Bitcoin golds they promised to users. These users are waiting to sell Bitcoin golds.

if you feel market is good, you must hold. its normal when market down for some days. also not many exchanger, that can be positive signal to keep BTG, like exclusive coin..  ;D

Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin.  SegWit Coin is a fraud that stole the brand.

I would say hold till now only yobit had credited it's users first and for bittrex they still haven't listed so maybe if you hold until then maybe when it get's listed you can sell it for a higher price. It is still risky as the market can react in opposite way and start dumping it. As it is a free coin i wouldn't mind holding

I'm not confident with btg. It's faring even worse than bitcoin cash. I'm not sure why you've invested in it or probably it will have it's own time, but i'm not confident in it

Yes the holding is the actually increase of the bitcoin because the bitcoin is increasing with the time, I hope this time the pump will be very high and the value will be more than the present I hope all the people are buying the bitcoin and I will buy the bitcoin and will hole, it is now very good time to invest and safe your bitcoin for the long time, I will buy the bitcoin and will hold the more currency for the profit.

my advice is hold it, because my speculation about bitcoin gold will rise up, maybe in the next month or next 2 moneth the bitcoin gold can follow the BCH that success and  have a great value of it

Well you are right, but in the future, bitcoin cash might well be the third alternative alt coin next to Etherum.  I am also hoping for a dump on BTG but to be honest, besides the only you can do is mine with a GPU what other benefits does the coin have?  I am thinking of what many people in the community have said about it that it gives nothing. But all this can be speculation and this might work as just a coin to trade but not to use.  Seems ETH and Bitcoin can be used for other things besides trading and gambling.

frightened by the issue segwit, if everyone is scared and exchange coins then segwit will happen, bitcoin prices will be cheap, my advice just hold it.

Thanks guys, this conversation is very helpfull for me. Look like the miner don't like BTG, but i don't think is a 'shit coin' just becouse Bitfinex ( the big market of currency in the world ) list it and also give some BTG to the user... So this mean Bitfinex have a lot of BTG and i don't think they bet on a shit coin... Meanwhile BTG recover the value lost in last week..
I think HOLD it until first pump is a good strategy, but anyone can try to predict something about the BTG.. i mean when or how much can value BTG after first pump... I know this is an hard question... But there are a lot of intresting answer on this post so I hope someone can have good predict about the future of BTG, in particular about the value after first pump.
