For me! I will invest the same! Because BTC very attractive at this times!

Obvious one is bitcoin, after doing your own research I would put out there SHIFT, TRUST, CHBT, now is the perfect time to pick up a few alts as they have all dropped in price as people will be cashing to bitcoin for the fork or simply to get some cash.

I would recommend Propthereum.io. They are an asset backed cryptocurrency. Proceeds raised from their ICO will be used to purchase A-grade property worldwide. This will generate a rental income and underlying value for the PTC token holder. The great thing about this concept is that the coin will ALWAYS increase in value.

Good list! Your choices are very up-and-coming these days, and many people are surely making a lot of buzz with it. BTC is surely on the top of the list, having the most value and most recognition. But, take note that $5,000 is still a big amount of money, so you may try to do it in portions instead of dumping the whole thing in one investment.

I think if I have 5000 USD I will invest with Bitcoin, because I think Bitcoin is a very good Cryptocurrency and very potentially big in the community compared to other crypto.

Of course Bitcoin. Even if you want to invest in any other coins, you would probably do it thru BTC.

I think is not to late invest into bitcoin for me is the much better than etherum or bitcoincash,he raise now but in the furture he is not good for invest,etherum is but bitcoin is better option i think.

Obviously bitcoin is the best choice because the price is really taking up today. ETH because its of of the many stable altcoins, it may experience dumps along the way, but I believed that it will remain as the #1 altcoins for now. Monero, because people are finding it a good investment and this coins are very good specially if you really wants anonymity. Another coin in my radar is ETC, I think it will be pump before the end of the year.

Use some part of the money for Ethereum (ETH). Most of ICOs are based on Ethereum blockchain and it has a nice chance to grow.

I would buy Ethereum, Waves and Edgeless. Ethereum is cheap comparing to 6 months back. Waves is similar. And its roadmap looks great. Edgeless price is too low project like that. And maybe bitcoin gold.

Now only buy BTC, after december 15 I will suggest any altcoin you want, except top 5 coins. I think coins in coinmarketcap from 50 to 100 will move better than bigger ones after 15 th of December to have amarket share against investors. If they did not move people doesnot support ICO's.

Investing to digital currencies like bitcoin is the best choice as the value is gaining momentum for the last two months despite of coming Segwit2X. As of today it already reach at $7,000 in which is an unexpected because the most speculated value was $5,000 only. You could also try ethreum and bitcoin cash in which looks promising too and cheaper than bitcoin.

If I had 5000 USD today I would've invested that In property because property only gives guaranteed profit in the coming years its price always increasing unless you are having really bad luck and the price drops. So I would've invested in the Property or If I had 5k$ a year ago I could've invested in Bitcoin.

Right now I would invest mostly in Ethereum and Ripple, bitcoin longer term but I wouldn't buy much if any at the current price as I see a fall coming soon.

I think thats pretty easy to answer and everyone will have bitcoin as first choice of investment. Its clear that how much growth it can sustain within its dominance and with bitcoin there comes richness in your wallet. For me second choice of investment would be three to five different alt coins but I won't buy them worth 5K in single shot. I will only put may be 2.5K on to these coins and will try to increase my wealth. On top of this I will have investment into ICO projects as part of early bird when the price will be very low. This will help me earn pretty decent money. So whatever gives me profit I will try to invest there on max scale.

I would invest it in bitcoin and ethereum.  Those two coins seem to be the safest bet to invest your money into.  The other altcoins seem to be riskier, but you could potentially gain 10x to 100x with smaller, less market cap altcoins.

İ divide the money four pieces and half of money for altcoins (waves stratis). 1250 $ for ethereum. İ will wait dumb for bitcoin. If bitcoin decrease , I will buy bitcoin 1250 $.

Hummm... Other than Bitcoin or Ethereum, Deep Learning technologies will be in the forefront in the near future.  Might invest in some of those companies.

Nothing i don't invest right now, like just take a look at the Bitcoin price. Everything what goes up goes afterwards down and really hard!
So be careful and don't invest money you can't loose!

I think I just bought ethereum. It does not make sense to buy bitcoin because the price is so high.
I can see that Ethereum has a great potential

which are currently not affected and trashed down by ether speculants and ether holders like you that drive up the transaction costs, and reduce its entire usefullness

i bet buterin will simply reduce the ether price for transaction costs when the ether supply is to small, because buterin has to compete with ethereum against waves and neo, he cant have casino style ether speculants messing up the transaction costs of "his" system that "his" future depends on.

Yes.  I have a lot of time just need to sell it and keep selling it.  But if you do end up selling it you will sell it for more with various skillsets.
And I am not too worried though - it is relatively easier to sell full stack web development than say music theory.

BTC is good, but it's price is not so good right now. I would wait for a correction.
PAY is good for long-term. Price is undervalued, though good project in general.
xrp and str have storng fundamental background. Although they can go lower before pump.
While decision-making much depends upon time you want to be in position...

I would also invest in the strongest options in the world of cryptos: Bitcoin (60%) and ethereum (20%). The remaining 20% would distribute it among some other currencies such as Bitcoin Cash, Waves and DeepOnion.

If I had an extra $ 5k, I would have put the part on the eth (because now almost all the alcotnies are based on it). Also, I would try to find a promising project (in my opinion there are few such now) and would invest in it at the pre-sale stage

Mate look here - TIO, just got listed on etherdelta, Top project with strong community and team is from germany, it's not yet listed on coinmarketcap and is about to be listed on HitBTC and Binance this month. Supply is only 450,000. Price is at $0.1 now on etherdelta. Best time to buy is now before it lists on coinmarketcap.Will definitely be trading for over $5 when it gets to Binance.

Well we have different in terms of kind of investment. Ill definitely invest in ethereum and bitcoin because these two has a lot to offer. In ethereum price drops down and it is the good time to invest because definitely it will soaring high or recover the value soon.

Right now I would invest 5k into these coins: Bancor, Stox, Qtum and Monetha. Because I see a lot of growth in these coins for the next couple of months. Especially after the Bitcoin Hardfork which has made all altcoins go down by ALOT.

Ether may shoot after segwit2x fork. Short-term future of Bitcoin is unclear, but sure now it's overpriced.

If I had that much money to spend on an investment, I would invest it in Bitcoin and Eth. There is a lot of potential in those two coins.

Given current prices, i'd put most of it into Ethereum and a select few altcoins in preparation for the post 2x hard fork pump. If you hold only bitcoin now you might be buying right before a big correction comes, and you'll be at a loss for what could be a few days or up to months.

For now bitcoin of course because of course there will be hard fork and we will get a free coin right? Once done I probably will invest in omisego and ethereum a little because both have a pretty good future.

definitely id still choose to invest on bitcoins if a had that good amount of bucks but given already that bitcoins value is high thesedays , you can still earn a decent amount of return and profit. putting all your eggs in one basket (probably in bitcoin) is a good idea at this point. though you can also opt to buy and invest on altcoins because they seems cheap right now and surely they can go a long run if you had a patience to wait.

I would put 60% in BTC, 20% in ETH and rest 20% (~1000$) in to altcoins like Waves, IOTA, Golem, SONM, ZRX, Shift etc. There are good projects out there which will go up in future if you can hold.

I will advice you to buy and hold Bitcoin as it is one of the popular crypto available in the market. It is showing good amounts of growth and looking at the current trends, you can expect it's price to be above 10,000$ by end of this year or so.
You can also buy and hold some progressive altcoin like ethereum, litecoin or monero as these coins have alot of potential to grow.

First Bitcoin & ETH, bitcoin up

Although I have no 5000$ but I have own only 2000$.Suppose if I have own 5000$ firstly I invest 70% budget for Alt coin and another 30% budget for Bitcoin.Because now BTC is rapidly raising.

$5000 is a huge amount and if ever i had that money i will invest in coins that is popular and has a high potential like bitcoin and ethereum. Although btc is on the top now, still its better to not go all in, there are some alts that are promising and can succeed in the future just research and see for yourself what could it be.

If i had 5000$ i would like to buy altcoins for trading. Because at this moment the bitcoin price is very high and altcoins price are pretty good for invest. And i can see that Ethereum has a great potential .
After few months later bitcoin price will decrease then altcoins price will  increase but not like bitcoin  :P .  I think Eth it will be pump before the end of the year.

I would choose one of those:
- putting them on BTC, ETH and wait for a long time.
- putting them on MONA / SNT and wait for your money to be $7500 in 1-2 months, and then do the same with some other coins.

The thing is, anyone can see the future, but my expectations are as abovementioned.

invest in a crypto with active dev, visible team and roadmap.  Preferably right after their ICO when the price has just dropped before they get on bigger exchanges. I do this everytime it always works. That is the most predictable moment for every crypto. They drop after their ICO, chickens sell theirs off, hawks buy in at below ICO price and boom, they list on bigger exchanges and the price goes off the roof.

I put 5000 USD into ZenCash at $7, and it turned into $18,000 in less than one day lol. I just blindly follow whatever Teeka Tiwari recommends. He said buy at $7 so I did and it went to $25 lol. He also called OMG, NEO, and ETH under $1, so $5000 into those would have been 6 figures. Man is the crypto god, I love him.

To make a profit for sure, invest in Bitcoin.
To my mind, it's better to divide the money and invest one several parts: Upcomming ICOs, already available tokens and Bitcoin.

It's pretty much impossible trying to pick the exact right coin at the exact right time.

I tried timing the market and buying stuff. Lost almost half my stack like that lol. Things are too crazy in the crypto world unless you have insider information.

I started following teeka tiwari's recommendations and I got into Zen, OMG, and GAS. Easiest 800% of my life lol. It makes sense because he's connected to all the heads of the crypto world and travels everywhere meeting developers and shit, has all that upcoming information.

Now I go 100% ham on whatever he says to buy, it's been working amazing for me. It's so nice just brainlessly putting money into what he picks and seeing it 5-10x lol.

Well if i have 5000 USD, 30% of my money invest in Ethereum and litecoin these are good for long term investment and 20% of my money invest in some new altcoin that has a good project then 50% is for bitcoin for long term investment.

Bitcoin is at his own historical high now so it's not to smart to buy BTC right now. Wait a little for correction. My advise is to invest in alts which have very low and attractive price now + strong tech behind them.

If you are not a risky person you need to distribute 5000 USD on BTC , ETH and LTC. Buy if you are a risky person you can buy Stratis , Populous , 0x , Monetha.

Yes, buying BTC now is gambling. It could fall down to 5500$ support or continue grow to 9000$ noone knows for sure. The golden rule tell us not to buy on peaks.

I would take risk if i had only 5000 usd. I wouldnt buy any bitcoin but only altcoins. waves+stratis might be a good choice for such an amount of money. Theyare both good projects and cheap now.

Before I really hate Ethereum for I think it wont have a future.
But now, all changed. For me, it is easier to predict where it is going. The altcoins and ICO's makes a great impact in it. So when you are monitoring  all of this the chances of making a right decision is very high.
Although I still have investments with bitcoin because I know it will keep growing.
Just a percentage for Ethereum and so that I will have something to do. It gets boring sometimes.

I don't think it's smart decision to take such high risks and invest in btc which costs more than 7000$ now. You will probably lose a lot during next big btc correction (dump). Take a look around, choose good alts and invest in.

if I had that kind of money I would probably invest in an alternative coin dogecoin because the price has decreased since yesterday and it could be soon to rise again the price

If you don't want too much risk in your altcoin portfolio I'd go for NEO, Ethereum and OmiseGO.

NEO is great too. It's like a dividend-paying growth stock. I've heard of companies holding their ICO funds in NEO.

I would go with DCT (DECENT) and WINGS. Both are very cheap compare to what can reach in next year.

Bitcoin is an obvious choice but with the price that high then I think that I will prefer to invest in LTC, LTC is the little brother of bitcoin and right now you can get it for cheap, you can get a lot of LTC for your money so it seems like a good and safe investment.

If we are talking about long term while  we don't have much time ro research and read enough about every project in details I'd do the same as fundes did. I'd put the money in the TOP ICOs that already trading and dumped enough as well as old cryptos with big capitalization. The platforms overall like ETH, NEO, NEM, ARDR, IOTA, BTS, EOS etc.

i am really a big fan of ARK and LSK i think that these are sound investments along with BTC and ETH

If I have  5000 USD, I will invest in bitcoin and ethereun .There is no cryptocurrency comparable to them .Be it long term or short term investment plan. Bitcoin it is to me then ethereum is my second choice.

I will not invest a dollar in cloud mining most of them are scams and the few that are not are not profitable, so you are throwing your money away, also I will not invest that much in icos since the risk you lose all your money is also great there, but the amount you are planning to invest in trading seems about right.

These two coins are great investment for putting that $5,000 but I will put big percentage to bitcoin since I'm only planning to hold it for a longer term and doesn't have any plan of selling bulks of it. There are also some good alt coins that are undervalued to invest with you just have to study about them and look at the progress, roadmap and real implementation of their whitepaper.

Keep 50-60% in ETH and put the rest into IOTA, REQ, and Waves. All three will be major players in the crypto world. As always, please research everything yourself first before investing.

Majority of it would go to bitcoin and some would go to good altcoins. It is always better to diversify your investments, so that the chances of losing your money is lesser. Bitcoin is a good investment, but, it is a long term investment. Unlike altcoins, it is eeasily pumped and dumped, which makes it profitable.

I also want a stable bitcoin, let me be trading, but btc always up and beyond my prediction, yes it's good that has invested a lot.

If I were you I would invest in alts which are not rised a lot yet. I believe that btc dominance rate will reduce to 45% and many alts will grow significantly next few weeks/months.

I will buy altcoins immediately. After Segwit2x is canceled, altcoins price has recovered strongly. I will buy now and wait about 3 days to sell. I think I can get big profit.

With 5000USD, I will invest in a lot of altcoins

Ok I think 5000 USD is a pretty good amount for investing. First of all as bitcoin is giving so much of profits to the people now a days i would invest around 50 percent of it in bitcoins. Next i would like to invest around 25% of total in Etherium and save the rest of the money.

I would divide that 5000 into portion and invest each portion in a different project or coin. That's called diversification. It doesn't make sense, or at least is not very safe to put all the 5000 in one coin, BTC for example or ETH, what's better is to split that amount in like 500 each (10 portions) and invest each portion in a different project. In that way, if a project fails you won't be left with nothing, and at the same time you increase your chances of landing a hit, because you're invested in ten projects.

That is the safest path but at the same time it is the longest, if you want to get more profits then it could be a good idea to invest in good altcoins but that have yet to reach such high market caps, so investing in coins like litecoin may seem like a better idea for those that want to get more profits in a shorter period of time.

Bitcoin and Ethereum

If you have 5000 dollars in your wallet. Buy waves coin because this coin have potential to increase more in the future. Because when J first see this coin I believe it will increase the price. And many people here in this forum believe also waves coin is the next ethereum  so if you have that amount you can buy a lpt of waves coin and once the price increase you will earn a lot of profit.

It actually depends on your risk appetite.

Mid caps to low caps altcoins have higher upside but also higher risk

High caps have lower upside but also lower risk

If you would like to hold for long term, i would suggest putting in coins that you think are likely to survive in the future since most coins will be wiped out in the next few years. Only the legitimate ones will stay. So that being said, attributing more % of your portfolio to BTC and ETH would be a 'safe' choice while the % you are willing to lose can put in altcoins for higher upside. Some promising altcoins would be KNC and ZRX (mid caps - decentralized exchanges/protocol will definitely be huge in the future), TRST (Decentralized lending platform & CEO worked in google before, great team and advised by Vitalik, platform will be out soon), EVX (Offering blockchain based microlending, remittances and merchant payments to underserved individuals and SMEs in Asia and globally - great future ahead and lower cap as compared to OMG)

There are many more interesting altcoins to look at, take your time to explore this young yet innovative space :)

Minexcoin is a good and future coin. It is used bitcoin coding with some features. It is live in livecoin. The price is 0.0014 btc now. I hold it better then waves, and BCH. I don't like bch team. they are greedy sucker groups the same as segwit2x team. fuck them all. If they want to create new coin do as minexteam.

I am sure that having this sum of money, it will be wise to invest it not only in Bitcoins as many guys do it now. There are many altcoins that show good dynamics and stability. I will invest a part of this sum into Monero, ETH, DASH, Ripple and probably NEO.

If I had 5000 usd, I would invest 60-70% of total amount in bitcoin, because bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrency and I think that bitcoin's value will only raise. The rest of the money I would invest in ethereum, maybe some amount in monero and some smaller percentage of the total amount in ICO.

I will invest the 80% of 5000$ to Bitcoin because there is sure profit in bitcoin. 10% in ETH and the other 10% in Bitcoin cash because i think their price now is also increasing.

$ 5000 I will buy some for BTC and ETH and also will buy coins that may have a good future like CTR, Postoken and many more coins that have not been released and will still enter into the world of cryptocurrency in the future.

If i have 5000 dollars i will invest in two icos, paypie (PPP) and populous , because I've heard that both of them will pumped up in 2018.

I started a couple of mounths ago so I'm very noob, I mainly invested in BTC but reserved some lesser amounts seeking for alts I could in consider in some way undervalued. XVG, XLM, ZEN, PIVX mi choice alongside most "trustworthy" XMR, XRP, etc... I diversify even small amounts trying to benefit from the growth of the whole market.

Well if i had $5000 i would have invested half in ethereum as it seems to have a promising future and with drop in bitcoins ehtereum will increase because ethereum are great for long term investment and now their prices are low so now it's perfect time to buy them.And other half of course, I'll invest in bitcoins but i will wait for the drop as segwit2x was cancelled bitcoins will drop quite a lot and when the prices are low that it the perfect time to buy.While investing always buy at low and sell at high.

With small amounts of money, I would always invest it in altcoins.  Sometimes an ICO if it looks good with a solid team backing up the project.  Otherwise, I would put it in an altcoin that has been around the block for a while.  Altcoins can make you money quicker than holding $5000 worth of bitcoin which is like 0.76btc.  

I will invest it in BTC, BCH, ETH and Dash

I think of all of those three investments I will prefer to invest in LTC instead, LTC has a very low market cap compared to ETH and BTC so the potential for growth is higher and if you are an investor the thing you must care the most is to obtain profits, however if you want to take more risks then investing in an ico may be a better choice.

$5000 USD Earn  From cryptocurrency trading.It is a big challenge.This is not possible by all.I could not earn $ 2000 in the last few months despite earning a lot of effort.I do not know if this is possible with me.But I'm going to try. I hope I can. ::)

I would spend the 3kusd for BTC,and another 2k for the altcoins just to playsafe.

Every time when I see post like this, my advice is:
It depends of what profit you want to get. If you want fast profit you should invest in ICO but it can be more risky. If you want profit from a year or more, just hold bitcoins and etherium. I think this two are most stable and profitable for a long period. So it's up to you.

If I had 5000 USD for crypto-coin investment only I spend it like that:
2500 USD keep it in BTC
1500 USD hold it in ETH
1000 USD divide between etc, ltc, waves, mnx, taas, neo, omg.

With 5000 USD in my hand I will use to invest in BTC and BCH (50%: 50%).I think BTC and BCH will increase

40% i saved in $$

60% i invest it on the market cripto

i would follow closely very promising icos and invest in a select few, it s a rather aggressive strategy but it has the potential to yield the highest roi.

Buy BTC ETH and maybe Lisk. You should split your risk with more than one coin. Also you can investigate other altcoins to invest but my suggestion is invest your money in Top 50 coins on coinmarketcap.

5000 usd is not a small amount for me ,,The number of businesses that start receiving BTC payments is getting more and more. Although all of these businesses are still in the minority, there are big names that have done it.If you are literate Market or lucky, you can benefit by buying Bitcoin when the price is low.

Look at the altcoins with low cost at the moment. You can try to increase your starting capital. But remember about diversification, do not put everything in one altcoin!

Invest in Ethereum.You will gain huge profits with ethereum in the long run.Also Electroneum is the best.

if i had 5000 usd to invest with i would choose bitsend , bitbay both of these coins price are under 1$ on the moment and i think bitbay is the best coin to invest on because the coin does have alot of features to offer can its price is way to undervalue its currently 7 cents it was 2 cents before the pump i bet it will reach 1$ easily i would probably invest syscoin on the future.

Small amount in ICO, the rest in Ripple, Monero, XVG, DeepOnion. Really i want to wait until these all drop again a little bit, as they've had recent moons and I of course want max gains. Monero is really expensive and I don't expect it to do 2-3x what it's currently at, but what's interesting to me is the DO is at a similar coin supply and only at $8. So between the two of them, that's where my money is going.

I also heard about a cool project called FunFair I still need to look into. Anyone heard about it?

if i got 5000$ i would invest in iota xlm and ripple and some to ethereum. investing in this ico that helping transaction seems the best option for me. im considering to invest in verge and golem too. investing in under 1$ coin is my option cause i expect for a bigger profit from it.
