Title: Windows 8 QT Wallet Problem
Post by: Kosmatik on June 15, 2013, 11:16:57 PM
Hey, so my windows 8 machine with a wallet on it is not accepting rpc connections for some reason. rpcallowip is set right, solo mining from the computer to 127.0.0.1 works, but when solo mining from another computer on network, it doesn't work. Worked with windows 7 under same config. qt wallet allowed in windows firewall. Any ideas?

I know I had to change back to win 7 because of this same issue... none of the other computers would connect to the main one.

Haven't tried running wallets on Windows 8 myself yet so I do not know if this works. Have you tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or Windows XP? Running in compatibility mode can provide features or functions that have been removed or changed on the new platform.

This worked.
