2030 is in just 19 short years. Any radical change would be quite a surprise. Even if he made a few sensible predictions over shorter time frames, "living forever" is in a totally different league from ordinary social progress. What would be so good about it anyway? Post by: benjamindees on June 28, 2011, 08:29:18 PM The only way I see anything like this remotely happening is if, in the next twenty years, all IQs increase by twenty points and everyone suddenly becomes reasonably educated and rationally self-interested. So, in other words, not going to happen.
It's much more likely that a few wealthy psychopaths attempt to live forever by harvesting organs from the poor or something similarly dystopic. |
