Hi. No, it is derived from the Swiss currency Francs, in German "Franken". eFrancs would have been associated with France, mostly, this is why I chose the German word.

It is surely possible to expand the shop. But what do you want? What would you like to see in the store? It can't be too cheap, as the store orders are manually handled and I would quickly get overwhelmed and also run deficitary.
I really hope, that there will be an easy casino option for Waves token creators in the foreseeable future, as this would give one more practical use for eFranken. Even if it is just a simple dice game.

Well, the casino is still being worked on. And I topped the faucet up with five million eFranken.

You can always trade on the DEX (https://beta.wavesplatform.com (https://beta.wavesplatform.com)). As for other exchanges, most are paid or only take new currencies who at least have a certain amount of trade volume.

Has anybody been able to claim token on the faucets since it is up again? I have tested some other Wavesdrop faucets and the claims all failed.

The eFranken logo of the faucet and on gravit.ws has finally been updated to the new one. You can now see the update on gravit.ws and on the faucet, as soon as it is online again.

According to Oceanlab, the revamped faucet system will be up in about two weeks time.

I have added a German version of the website. The languages can be toggled with the last menu point on the top right.

Fixing the faucet system is still in the works by Oceanlab.

Market update: Over half a billion units of the eFranken token have been sold. One billion exists in total, with the possibility to issue more for controlled inflation.

Next market update: Besides the 50 million eFranken I hold to finance the project, all one billion eFranken tokens have been sold. If you want more, you can either use the faucet (as long as it has fuel, which it does not have most of the time) or you can buy it on the DEX. The last price I saw was 9 Wavelets a piece.
I could issue more tokens, but I do not plan so for now.

The original faucet provider has gone out of business, I am sorry.
All eFranken have been sold (around 900 million token) or given away (around 50 million). If the owners of above disfunct faucet manage to recover the remaining eFranken funds of the faucet account and return it to me, I can set up a new faucet with it, but for now, the funds are unaccessible. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you still want eFranken, you can always buy them at the Waves DEX.

congratulations if your tokens have been successfully sold everything, I understand that but if the owner of the faucet does not provide the rest of the token whether the faucet owner will be able to have the token meaning that he might misuse the token by selling it for his own benefit? I hope there is a way out and give the rest of the tokens and can make a new faucet to give away for free to the public
