All they have done is cause damage to bitcoins in general. Its easier to damage something than it is to build it back up. Whales can't keep it up via manipulation forever, nor is it profitable to their manipulation to do so. Eventually they run out of inventory and need the price to tank to rebuy. Welcome to a market driven almost entirely by speculation.
