Title: ITT, we make iPhone Bitcoin/Crypto App Recommendations
Post by: maursader on June 16, 2013, 02:31:19 PM
So far to track BTC I am using the following apps that are free in the App Store:

Coinbits
Bitcoin Ticker

From Cydia (jailbreak required)

Blockchain

For LTC, I use: CCTicker (app store, free)

Let's post apps we use to help others who are getting started.

Cheers

Bump! I forgot to mention, I added this forum as a home screen shortcut to my iPhone as an added resource.

Bitcoin bleep pushes the Mt. Gox price to your iPhone so you can easily view the price without opening the app

Anyone know how to backup all your 2 Factor Authentications?  Preferably a method that only involves an offline computer.

I just got another App Store App called Mining Stats by WeMineCrypto. It tracks your workers if you mine LTC, FTC, or CNC

Hmmm might need to switch pools... I like the idea of being able to use an app to monitor my precious feather coins.

@statdude: I'm not sure if its limited in the App Store by country or got pulled from App Store since Apple hates bitcoin. I'll check once I'm back in Canada.

A couple more useful apps to look for:

WeMineCrypto Mining Stats (LTC, FTC,CNC support)

And this app in particular, it's called Bitcoin Trading Game. Basically you get $10,000 of play money, and you can buy and sell BTC from the mtgox market. Again it's not real, but it gives you real life experience in trading. Currently it doesn't support placing buy or sell orders into any kind of order book but you can buy and sell at the live prices at that time. The more people who use this app, the more likely the developer will include more features such as the one I mentioned.
