Apologies for being so basic, but what is a reputable site to purchase bitcoin?
Secondly, has anyone had a good experience with Etherium? Thanks.

I guess you could use an exchange, like Coinbase or Blockchain.info, which offer Bitcoin for USD and also manage your wallet for you. There are fees of course. Probably the simplest way to get into it.

coinbase is essentially the apple of wallets. For simple interface and streamlined purchasing its fine. If you want to be able to trade any other types of coins I would suggest a different wallet.

Kraken.com is a pretty nice exchange. You can fund your account with USD, EUR and cryptos. Most of the popular cryptos are up for trading at the exchange.

There are limits if you don't officially identify yourself.

One warning: set up two-factor authentication for everything in the security settings. Not only for logging in or trading, but every option.

You're not going to be able to buy much of anything for cash on an exchange if you don't do the whole KYC thing.

Coinbase was pretty good for me until they nuked my account.  I sort of miss them, but I miss Circle even more <sigh>.  Coinbase is pretty reliable, and they're regulated, so they don't get away with bullshit that other exchanges might.  Same goes for Kraken, I think.  I was going to give them my identity to be able to buy with fiat, but they couldn't read my drivers license from the picture I sent them, so I said screw it.

Are you in Germany?  Not sure if Coinbase is available for countries other than the US, so maybe someone here can verify that.  Stay away from exchanges like Yobit and ones where you can't find any info about who runs them.

There are lots of exchange market for you to be able to buy or trade bitcoin. Coinbase (https://www.coinbase.com/) is an example of that for the most basic usage but of course, you try others like Bittrex (https://bittrex.com/) and hitbtc (https://hitbtc.com/).
Try it for yourself and enjoy.

Ethereum is awesome! Find out more about them at https://www.propthereum.io Propthereum ICO crowdsale will run off a decentralized Smart Contract that runs on the Ethereum Blockchain. It is secured with a 256-bit encryption which makes it secure and reliable. Propthereum Tokens will be minted as PTCs. Use bittrex and swipe your credit card dude. Ethereum is good especially if you were able to buy at $35. Personally, I buy bitcoins at coins.ph because that is the only spot where I can score bitcoins straight with my paper trash money. Good luck to you, noobie.

coinbase.com is one of the best exchange website for buying bitcoin. You can also purchase some bitcoins in localbitcoins.com using your fiat money. To your second question, do you mean the overall experience on etherium? Its good when you are a pioneer in having this coin. i just use it for converting my altcoins to eth using exchange.

Well you know... Its different for.. Every..country... You should first state from which country you belong to ..then only can... Everyone give their suggestions.
For example in India.. the safest way to.. buy bitcoins is through an offline wallet called zebpay..ypu do need ypur pan card ,aadhar card, bank account details and address proof for this and when everything is verified and..ypur account is approved you can do many things from there..and one of them is buying bitcoins... They do charge.. for..that.. Also their.. buying and selling rates shows a considerable amount of difference and I don't even know why is that...
And..onto your second question about etherum.. no I have never invested in it nor.. Thought about investing...there are my friends doing that but..I choose..to stick with bitcoins and..I think any alternate cryptocurrencies will just divide my time and attention.

One reutable exchange site I could say is Bittrex if you wanted to purchase Bitcoin and Xapo.com although the fees are way to expensive now. It really depends in which country you are from but you could try google and do a research on sites that are to be trusted because for sure you are buying them from your credit card right?

You can buy at your localbitcoins and do meet ups , some seller sells way cheaper than exchanges or online store that offer bitcoin. Also  you can make  sure your bitcoin will arrive and on the spot transaction is always better. But if you still insist on buying online , I prefer remittano they offer escrow service, you just need to pay little fees for their service.

purchasing bitcoin is an excellent decision because the rate of bitcoin is going in creasing with a very fast rate so if you purchase more and more bitcoin now then you can earn enough profit in future from these coins.

You can buy them at retailers in the country you live in. I will introduce you to a coinbase.com website if you are located in supportive country then you should buy them on this for safer and it is also the online wallet that many users use in the world.

Coinbase is convenient for buying BTC but you need to go through verification. You can go for localbitcoin which is a peer to peer marketplace and try to find one seller who don’t need identity verification.

Well its safe with coinbase if you are in the united states because localbitcoins can be risky especially if you don't know the area you've chosen to meet very well. Anything can ensue and you should be ready for the risk.

Make an account on coinbase, paypal  or some other well known forum. Connect your that account to bank account and enjoy the buying and selling of bitcoin.

When the requirement is fulfilled you are on the way to success. It will not only help in raising the standard of life in present but will also let you to secure your future. But yeah first confirm it out that whether bitcoin is legal in your country or not

Localbitcoin would be the best choice if you are with the restricted countries which are unable to buy at Coinbase.
Maybe you should tell which country you are so we could be more specific and could locate where else you could buy it.
Some establishments do accept bitcoin payment and also do sell bitcoins at their end.
We cannot help you more if we dont have that information or you could just swallow how much you would pay for fees in the localbitcoin website.

Coinbase and localbitcoin are available to Australia users, you are able to purchase BTC in this 2 websites easily. Before you can buy BTC in coinbase, you have to submit identity verification. There is a limit if you are buying with credit cards, hence you have to buy smaller amounts first.

There is no doubt in this fact that it is easy to grab coins form this site. Coinbase is really easy to sue and people do prefer it over other exchanges for purchasing bitcoin or any other coin. If your really serious about buying bitcoin with paper money, visit coinbase as soon as possible because this is the excellent time for purchasing bitcoin since there is some decrease in the value of bitcoin at present.

Hey since you wish to buy Bitcoin you can check with this forum currency exchange section check zazradb deals, he's quite reputed you'll have a good deal with him, then you can check on local Bitcoin, select your location and where you wish to buy, always do due diligence. No I don't like ethereum, I only like Bitcoin, why cause price rises, and every fork makes your rich by getting more coins. So stick to Bitcoin only.

Coinbase is a good exchange if you want to buy out some bitcoins from your dollars. But the best wallet varies from fiat to fiat. and yes Ethereum is too good of a currency I think it has lot more potential than btc and is too undervalued currently. It is a blockchain for most of the erc-20 tokens I really have some great expectations from it.

Here the best option for you to buy btc is to go at local Bitcoins.com and see what the bid and offers are available to.make deals , there you will be easily accessible every type of payment option to make buy of the bitcoin as well as sell of the btc .
But if you looking to buy directly without going to the LBC.com , you should go at coinbase wallet there you will be able to easily .
Second thing is that if you are looking to buy Etherium coin then , I will say that you are right to choose the coin for the investment Because Etherium coin is currently at low price , so it will be more better for you buy and hold for some months .

Before seeking information regarding crypto currency buying and selling, first confirm it that whether bitcoin is allowed in your country or not because if bitcoin is not allowed in your country then your information will be totally wasted, there are many forums which serves as a platform for the buying and selling of bitcoin, collect some money and connect your coin base account to your bank account because you will buy bitcoin by using paper money

There are 400+ exchanges if you are willing to buy Bitcoins so you can choose any of them which is convenient for you. See this market tab of coinmarketcap.com (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets) for checking the list of those exchanges.

Do check for the trader volume, verification policies, user reviews, rate of exchange, mode of payments and user experience while choosing any exchange. I usually go with Localbitcoins when I purchase Bitcoins because it is a platform where we can find multiple sellers and buy at a best possible rate.

Here are some reputable sites on where you can buy bitcoins. But it's better if you do your own research about the exchange site and searching about the review of the site will also help a lot. You can easily search on google about the review of the exchange site, the advantages and disadvantages of it and different features of the sites, So here are some of the exchange site i know that you can trust.

https://localbitcoins.com/
https://www.kraken.com/
https://www.coinbase.com/

There are other sites where you can buy bitcoin i didn't tried them yet so i did not know if they're a good site or not, just like i said search about the sites first and it's review before buying bitcoin.

Newborn in the space lookin' for some information...

I'm hesitant to buy BTC since my residency is always changing. I'm originally from the USA, but work currently has me place in Germany. My plan is to purchase a decent fraction of BTC here in Germany to get me started, and then when I move to my next location by next summer really start my investments. Will fiat to crypto exchanges such as Coinbase or Kraken accept me despite the fact I'm not a permanent resident in Germany? Will the currencies i purchase be able to move with me? Is it possible to take currencies from exhanges to cold storage directly, or would i have to use a desktop wallet, such as Exodus, as a "Middle Man" to store them?

Thank you for your time!
