Title: Best staking coins
Post by: Little-loli on November 05, 2017, 02:38:47 AM
Was wondering what are the best coins to stake. I've been mining a little bit of Ethereum and Monero with my computer and thinking of selling it to buy staking coins for greater returns. I've heard about Bitbeans having 48% ROI for sprouting, ARK for ARK and NEO for GAS.

But Neo should become the best choice for you. A lot of people are choosing neo rather than another coin. Just download the official wallet and you can try to staking your neo. it seems to be a best choice right now.
Remember gas has very big market rather than neo itself.

Most of the good ones are already mentioned in the above posts. But, if you are still seeking for some POS coins and want to take some risk, you could try a High POS coin. One that I could recommend is 808 coin. Its price has been tanking since last week due to huge selloff to get some BTC. Don't let that scare as people are supporting this coin with their buy orders and you can see it for yourself if you check it out in Cryptopia. It has 808% return yearly but be mindful that this entails with high risk also.  ;D

Neo is good as a long investment. As more people adopt Neo and use gas, gas has a FINITE amount. When gas supply runs low in the future the price will sky rocket. Please note when I say future, we are talking like 10-20years.

Waves is quite good coin to stake in wallet as you don't need to have minimum amount as far as I know. So you can share your coins in different hundreds of coins and start staking.

Low priced staking coins with great returns:

Espers ESP 25% roi annually, current price 8 Sat.
Hyperstake HYP up to 750% roi p.a., current price 88 Sat.
Blakestar BLAS 200% roi p.a., current price 26 Sat.

At these price levels is not much to loose but great upside potential.

@SerenW pretty much nailed it. I would just like to remind folks that DeepOnion is a 10% PoS coin for the first year & I believe 5% the second year. So it is a viable option for the new future with some solid returns.

I typically stake several Onions a week.

Yes for other and not for dash, because it needs 1000 amount of dash to become a masternode make you able to earn passive income from there. As long as there is no a lot of requirements to be able to become masternode or staking our coin that should be fine.

A lot of people are disappointed about that.
My friends told me about they are staking their coin at neo rather than masternode coin.

it will be very profitable for those with a lot of shares.

I stake ARK ( => ARK) and NEO ( => GAS)

For ARK, my return is about 12.64% (in ARK) per annum.

NEO is already covered above.

What I like about both is the fact that you do not need a running computer to stake.  Set it up and you are done...they both generate you income without doing anything.  No PC to run, no power to pay.  Pure profit.

Add EXP and DCR to this list.
If you buy EXR (100 EXP = 1 EXR), and lock it for 6 month, u will get 106 EXP at the end of period. And you don't need to keep a running wallet or node.
Also DCR has something similar - Dcr tickets, buy one (it cost 70-80 dcr) and after 30-45 days u wil get +1.3 DCR.

I sold before it dropped, but the price is about right. I'll be picking some more up soon.

Lucky you for selling high.  I flipped some of mine recently and got about 3,650 RPX in 2 days :D.

I thought projected return for staking was 10%.  Any amount is better than nothing.  Last news I read is, it will be Q3 2018 when this might be implemented.

I appreciate your investment plan. And you need to make some adjustments before you put all your capital into investing. You need to remove the ARK in your investment list. I think ARK will grow less than NEO and GAS. NEO is highly appreciated and of course GAS will also be affected by NEO. That is my own opinion, you can refer to them.

Dash : you will need 1000 dash minimum to start a masternodes and monthly payment for cloud computer.
Bitsend : you need 2500 bsd to start masternodes and also cloud computer to run masternodes.
Waves : no minimum, 1% per month and the coin also still in your wallet and you can take it anytime you want.
Neo : like waves you just put your neo in your wallet and you will get gas for holding it.

Platinum Bar XPTX has 230% staking - super low cap coin

I tried some of the super high APR coins like Ember and got burned.  The higher the APR the higher the chances that the coin will implode, at least in my opinion.

Later on they are also planning to go for AI projects

Until october you get a staking reward of 300% for profit or you can use your $ACC to mine ETH via the website.

The market cap is around 700,000 USD, making it a steal.

Never bet on coins with high APR; this means high inflation and high risk of price depreciation after a short initial climb.
In general, a good inflation on Pos systems should be like average inflation on the real world, 4-5% year.

Besides the simple return on the Pos, one must also look at the potential for revaluing the currency; better a 5% per year with the coin that is re-evaluated by 200-300% rather than 10-15% but with the coin that does not grow or depreciates.

The best coins I can suggest with these features are:
NEO ------ about 5% through coin GAS but huge project
NAV ------ 5% and unique coin POS with Age, great project and community, still little appreciated by the market, and for this with enormous potential.
DECRED ---- about 15% through a voting system of delegates (about 2% every 40-45 days)
NEBLIO ---- 10% year ----- next Top30

Ambrosus (AMB)

-currently only $.30
-you can get a master node for around $3k usd which is an insane deal considering the expected ROI for node operators
-node payouts tied to US dollar so even if the market falls your profit stays
-rumored partnerships with Migros (30 billion), GSK (40 billion), Cargill (100 billion!) and others means there will be mass adoption of AMB-NET platform upon launch
-rockstar team including the father of IOT and deep connections in Swiss government and corporations
-full fledged IOT platform with their own hardware and proprietary sensors
-main net in July
-only $40mm market cap
-coin burn for each ownership challenge transaction

I think AMB is one of the most underrated and undervalued coins in all of crypto right now. All signs are pointing that it could soon become THE european/ western supply chain platform that could potentially handle many billions of dollars worth of products which will mean anybody who operates a node can retire off the passive income.

Here is a beauty for you to have a look at !(POSv3) https://briandcolwell.com/2018/08/spectrecoin-privacy-tech-innovation/.html I get about 10% per year..! Stealth staking will be implemented in Q1 2019. Stealth staking will allow the user to stake and be rewarded with untraceable coins. Solid project.

Super bullish on SpectreCoin cause of a new algorithm in Q1 2019

Lots of coins can stake, but is there a single coin that give you anonymous awards, while you're hiding your private balance in secret?
Nope

Spectrecoin will do just that:
Proof-of-Stealth algo

Basically it will allow you to stake on private anonymous stealth addresses with anonymous PoS rewards
Going to become first ever in Crypto space to do that

Boom!

I am out

I prefer more established coins of a varying cap so my picks are
dPOS
NEO (5% ROI)
ARK (~12% ROI)
POS
Neblio (10%)
and for a master node pick: HoriZen (ex. ZenCash) which seems to be making very solid moves lately.

Ark, Nebilo and Spectrecoin are just a few I stake. All 3 coins are solid projects and they offer staking rewards of  about 10% per annum. Spectrecoin at times will increase to about 15% per annum depending on the network weight.

Beat me to it. Min 5% per year but a lot higher whilst the network weight is lower

You can see on google what's the actually best investments for masternodes but you have first time to invest a good ammount.
Second is RPB that actually is a virtual bank and it gives you weekly percentages

The game with master coins, a very dangerous game-it has led to the collapse of many.

Spectrecoin, XSPEC is a great privacy coin that is essentially a POS Monero. It offers 5% return for staking your wallet but due to the fluctuating network weight of actual wallets staking the return is probably closer to 8-10%. At the beginning of 2019 Spectrecoin is set to release Proof of Stealth which will allow users to stake their stealth addresses. This is something completely novel for the technology. At Spectrecoins current price it definitely worth buying now and accumulating before the next bull run. Cheers, and good luck investing.

I guess staking coins can done if you're having holding with crypto bank like minexcoin. Their minexbank has a parking stake earning which my friend now earned every week on his holdings, and the profit really provided him for his family needs. That's why nowadays it's hard to find a project with legit and successful community aside from minexcoin. I don't know yet if there's other coins to be found like minex, and if there's a possibility that will be a good opportunity.

Emmmm.... have you seen that why it has no a lot of daily trade volume? Because a lot of the speculators don't interested to buy that coin. I have seen so many bad reviews about that and that should become our awareness before try to buy minex coin. That looks so terrible coin and i think we should think for a twice.

DASH
Annual Return – Approx 7.5%
Need minimum 1000 DASH units

NEO
Annual Return – Approx 5.5%
Return: GAS

PIVX
Annual Return – Approx 4.8%

OkCash
Annual Return – 10%

NAV Coin
Annual Return – Up to 5 %

Stratis
Annual Return – 0.5-1%

Waves
Annual Return – 1%

This is coins with the biggest market cap but are the best? I dont know
I would prefer smaller stable projects like Deviant Coin (DEV) Annual Return will be 243% of corse there is some risk but if they make their Exchange coin will go up

if we take into account the percentages of the drop in the Crypto-currency market in comparison with the level of 2017, then, with any stabilization, almost all coins will go up.

NEO, KCS, VET are the best staking coins. But staking coin can lose a lot of value too. But they are not too bad.
Less expensive coins can give you more stakes. But their value can devaluate more rapidly. It is a bad idea to choose a coin with a big percentage of stake as the value of the coin will diminish very fast as there is more coin being produced. If the demand for the coin don't increase as fast, the value of the coin just diminish.

Now, if investing in XRP is the best, because this coin is likely to continue to grow, in my opinion, should invest and hold them for a long time, this year will be the best time.

I choose the Nucleus Vision, Shivom, KickCoin. I distribute money between these coins. But my favorite coin is BTC and Litecoin. I am very attentive to everything new.

I would suggest a coin which seems to be more safe for long term investment. It is NEO, I think that this project is created to change the world and economy sphere and not only quick profit scheme project.

NEO is great because you don't have to keep your machine running all the time to stake. Also, you can leave some of them in binance and they will collect the GAS on you behalf and put it in your wallet. Passive income

Very few tokens listed and many aren't included but that's a good site that's starting out and listing all of those tokens that where you can earn passively through holding it.

Is everyone here who holds CSNO? you can have a passive income through it by receiving a dividend from the casino's profit. It's a dividend token and it's more rewarding than others but you must hold a lot of it.

suggest the best coins in current conditions and situations are very difficult and fearful because there is a great need for confidence and trust in getting started and investors must be more confident in what they will do

I don't really think that staking for this days will give big returns. I'll be preferred of buying coins belong to the top 10 as it have a good market volume in which we could rely for it in the future.
Staking will be good and profiting during bullish season but it would be difficult for now since all altcoins are falling so hard.

There are alot of things to considered before investing into Staking coins and the most important thing is the inflation, if the inflation rate is high do not invest into it because you will lose your investment to inflation. For now I think QNT and NEO stand out for me because they have high marketcap to support the price, the team is sound and the inflation rate is low

I have some CSNO`s in my wallet, but clearly not enough to get some big amount Ethereum`s in my wallet. I`m grateful for what I have, I participated
in their bounty and I bought some extra tokens, I should consider adding more, but there are so many things in crypto-currencies, it`s very hard to keep
the track of everything.

I would suggest a coin which seems to be more safe for long term investment. It is NEO, I think that this project is created to change the world and economy sphere and not only quick profit scheme project.

NEO is mentioned so many times in this topic. I have some NEO`s, and looks like that should be my next buy, it`s never enough. Sometimes it`s so hard to choose where
to invest money.

I hope I'm not going to get in trouble for bumping this thread, but I've searched the altcoin section for NAV, which I've just become interested in, and all of the topics are years old.  There doesn't seem to be much active discussion about certain PoS coins lately.

NEO is great because you don't have to keep your machine running all the time to stake. Also, you can leave some of them in binance and they will collect the GAS on you behalf and put it in your wallet. Passive income
Funny I came across your post, because I've been saying the same thing in other threads, except I wouldn't keep NEO on Binance in order to stake.  There's no reason not to use the Neon wallet, which is by far one of the best I've seen.  NEO has become one of my favorite coins for the reasons you mentioned.  The other PoS coin I'm passionate about is PIVX, but you have to keep the wallet running constantly and I hate to do it.

I don't really think that staking for this days will give big returns.
Maybe not huge returns in terms of capital gains--but it's certainly possible--but the ability to earn income on top of whatever price increase may happen is a big plus in my book.

Enecuum is a pretty cool project I just recently started staking. It is not too well known yet but the coin is on a couple exchanges and the development team is focused on the product rather than advertising. Thought I'd try and get the word out in case you are interested. I wrote an article on how to start staking it. It's also listed on stakingrewards.com, if you want to check out some stats or the ROI on it.
