Title: Crysis 3 problems
Post by: blarg on June 16, 2013, 10:07:05 PM
TOTALLY OFF TOPIC

probably doesnt belong in this forum at all, but the community is full of gamers and game codes .etc

i redeemed one of those neversettle codes that come with AMD GPU's

Then i downloaded Origin so i could download Crysis 3

After I downloaded Crysis 3 i went to run it then it would start up a black window, then close. then says "crysis 3 has stopped working "check online for solution or close program

So i was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem or if there were any setting i could change to fix it. Thanks!

What is your hardware, and your drivers? Do you have latest Visual C++ runtimes?

This one might work better for you: http://kickass.to/crysis-3-internal-reloaded-t7120625.html (http://kickass.to/crysis-3-internal-reloaded-t7120625.html)

Follow the comments, they talk about Crysis 3 having lots of bugs.

As long as it's in off-topic then you should be able to post whatever you like, I'm afraid the people who are selling these codes are most likely either selling you crappy ones or pirated ones that you could get for free anyway, I recommend going to piratebay or something and grabbing a copy off there for free so you know whether it is indeed the game that's at fault but since you didn't purchase it directly from the origin store you won't be able to get your money back or get the problem fixed anyway. Thanks to DRM the pre-owned games market is pretty much dead, I'm sure there will be those who will angrily disagree with me but all these people selling codes and such are likely either selling cracked software or codes that could be just legit bought from the developers for roughly the same price anyway.

I'll just say it again for the emphasis, don't buy these game codes, DRM has practically rendered them buggy and unusable for legitimate gaming, the people selling this stuff are most likely doing it to earn some quick Bitcoin, the only DRM I know that's got a working trading system is steam but even then that's going to be dodgy and unreliable like anything developers make that actually benefits gamers and not them.

That's not how it works. Origin is a centralized system owned by EA, you can't provide it "fake" codes. You can enter real codes, but they may be taken which wouldn't even allow you to download the game let alone start it.

To get round it you don't even need to connect to origin, also, you need to look at how DRM works.

Here you go, stop wasting money on game codes that don't work, you won't have multiplayer but you can always play singleplayer with the cracked games, if you're going to buy current generation games you should always just get them from the developer because third party stuff will hardly ever work unless they've been authorised to do it by the developers themselves.

Use a cracked one if you don't want multiplayer. Multi is dead on C3 either way.

I hate that crap about you have to login once even to play single player. Ugh.
Rarely do multiplayer because instead of the normal maps, they always have
these tight quarters maps. FC2 multi on the normal maps would be really
interesting and realistic, but no...

The older games uses to let you do this. Was awesome sniping people from
like 1200 yards out. lol
