Title: New here and a question
Post by: Orinks on June 16, 2013, 11:24:38 PM
Hi all,
So I've just gotten into this whole BitCoin thing. In the case of the BlockChain cloud wallet, do I have to do anything to receive payments? I've created it the other day and want a site where I can enter my BitCoin address and receive payment immediately to see if everything's working. I just got my 100 credits from BitVisitor last night and still no payment as of yet.
Since the game Abnormals at MadCentral.co.uk is now accepting BitCoin I wanted to see if I can earn enough for that game.
Thanks all.

You don't have to do anything special with your wallet to receive payments. Payouts from the free sites can take days or weeks to show up. With BitVisitor in particular, I've generally received payouts within two days, but I have seen it take up to five.

Be careful about which of these "free bitcoin" websites you use.  Many of them send you amounts so small that they can't be spent without significant transaction fees.  You can end up in a situation where you have to spend more in transaction fees than the amount you are trying to send.

You can use the bitcoins received for transaction fees for transactions.
