Title: bitcore what you think about it Post by: GiorgosK on November 05, 2017, 09:04:57 PM this is not a hate or love thread I am not selling or holding any bitcore (not yet, maybe in the future)
I just wanted an honest opinion on bitcore https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.0 I did not want to post on their thread in fear of being thought of as highjacking of thread They launched in april and gave BTX to bitcoin holders which I don't consider fair Now they are giving away 3% every week to BTX holders which means about 2x your investment in 6 months and 4x your investment in 1 year which is quite tempting if the price just stays stable or raises and it has already driven the price of each BTX to $9 but what do they have to offer ? just an incentive to buy the coin and hold anyone else has seen any roadmap on what is the utility of it ? how long the developers be giving away 3% per week ? lets say they will be doing this for a year it means they have to have 1/2 of the total supply in their wallet which effectivelly means a huge PREMINE ? or is it part of the algorithm to be paid this 3% ? any thoughts ? this coin is not really doing anything special, it is a fork of bitcoin with SegWit and bigger blocks at the same time. if i am not mistaken the block time is also smaller (faster blocks). i was thinking about buying some to get the % profit but i was scared of the sudden dumps and price drops that this kind of distribution always brings on so i decided against it. but i admit it is a nice incentive. |
