Title: Asus Crosshair IV Formula 4GPU problem
Post by: surivrox on June 17, 2013, 12:34:32 PM
Hi all,

I have Asus Crosshair IV Formula motherboard and 3 Radone HD5830's connected to ports 1,2 and 4, the port nr 3 was empty. I bought 1 more 5830 and connected it to slot nr 3... Right after that strange things started happen. In all setups all cards fans are working, even if I don't plug GPU power so all PCIe slots are powered.
* When I have 4 cards plugged in, only the cards in slots 1 and 2 are working (are visible in system)
* When I have 3 cards plugged in on slots 1, 2 and 3 all works ok
* When I have 3 cards plugged in on slots 1, 2 and 4, only the cards in slots 1 and 2 are working
* When I have 1 card plugged in on slot 4 windows starts, but there are no vision on connected monitor and after connecting to it by remote desktop, hardware manager don't shows any video cards

Any idea what's wrong?

I was thinking about this, can the problem be in memory amount? I have only 2GB RAM installed.
