Basically they're a lending service instead of credit score they use your Crypto as collateral for loans, credit score doesn't matter.
Some noteable people on their team - Erik Voorhees, Shawn Owen, etc.

Currently writing this salt is $2.52

On their site you can deposit salt and use to pay off a portion of your interest,
the thing is the site values it at $25 though.

So one the platform is launched, which they already have millions on millions of dollars wanting to be lent out (Source : Twitter)
The market pressure to increase closer to $25 will be enormous.
Also, They announced Crypto Credit cards coming soon early 2018
Sounds pretty ambitious but with a team like theres and the progress they've been making, It will definitly happen.

I believe salt will explode similar to binance, (BNB did 0.1 cents to 2.80)
Which will only put the market cap 450M, current market cap ~115-120M

Although i didn't purchase it as it has many tiers on its ICO but i guess this is one of the coin people should never miss out.

I know I will personally be using their service, and it's one of the few coins out there with an actual good use case + working platform soon.

I didn't buy the ICO but I did purchase quite a bit recently at 2.20 levels.

Settling down now which is good.

With huge return for all investors. So maybe I can't stand out of this.

Salt is occupy more users and traders in current market. But this is not continuously pumped in same situation. Many changes are seen in future. So it is good for current status. After December it is not a stable value. Large number of altcoins are available in market. This is not a great demand in 2018. So kindly careful to invest in future.

I totally agree SALT looks like a good investment. I was looking at the website as I am generally interested in the topic of lending in crypto space and I agree it looks like SALT might be turning into a major player in that space. And the potential market is of course substantial.

to be honest i do not really understand about so called lending service/lending platform
we need to have a collateral first before borrowing it,right ?
and what is the difference between it and other banks ?
it would be better to borrow some money from the banks other than virtual,because we can see it and have an authorities behind it.

I would like to sleep and wake up in 2018 or 2019. I guess nothing will be like what people think about the future today. I am bored by reading opportunity...2018... investments...

SALT, I haven't really read about this coins, but it seems similar to BitcoinConnect.

This is a coin with a practical case as well as great invested value.

Although I didn't purchase it as I have already invested other coins like DeepOnion,  I think this is one of the coin people should never miss out.

SALT will provide access to institutional lenders who will accept crypto currency as loan collateral. Loans are given in fiat.

The SALT token can also be used to pay down a loan, pay down the interest rate and provide access to higher loan amounts by spending it.

The platform is due to be launched before the end of the year.

Looks like a solid project but call it "Biggest Investment oppertunity of 2018" is a bit exaggerated. With a marketcap at almost 180,00,000 you might 2x-3x your money if you are lucky.

SALT is still below ICO prices for some tiers of investors and way below the
retail price of $25 they charge for membership on their website. So there is
potential for big rise once their platform goes live.

SALT is indeed something special, they have done a shadowy ICO though which I really don't like. Even though the overall idea is great and we might see the price rocketing to 50 or 100, I think 100 is the minimum it will reach once the platform is operations, I evaluate that based on: You need one token to get a loan. Min loan is at about 10,000 and interest is about 10%, so how much would people be willing to pay to get a loan (how much above 10%?) I would say 11% for sure, which is 10,100 - 10,000 = 100$ / SALT, but it can easily go to 12 or 13% which would translate to 200-300$ respectively. The outlook is quite bright and even though they messed up their ICO and greedy distributions, I wish them all the best.

Yup.  Meanwhile it's smaller competitor Onix is sitting at under $2 million market cap.

The only competitors I've seen of salt arn't nearly as advanced, strong, and solid.
I mean salts team alone is pretty hard to top, let alone the site, money they've put in etc

Roadmap updated a few days ago, Nothing too new except loan fund or something.
Will be interesting to get more details on that.

I will take a look on this coin, it seems to be a very interesting project because it is very cheap, and if you all are right, then it will probably be one of the most biggest projects that this year gave to us.
Lets see, i will investingate a little bit more, and if i am convinced then i will try to buy as much as i can from that coin. But there are a lot of coins like this one, it is difficult to understand how does all of them work because they all are pretty the same, and have the same functions.

The amazing thing is not alot of people know about it, and the few that do in crypto are EXTREMELY bullish and excited about it.
SALT is way ahead of any competition, all the competitors for it are weak as hell.
The team has so many strong names tied to it as well

It had Erik Voorhees on the team among others, so I guess their definition of shady is a lot different than what most of us normal people here have. I think salt is a great idea too, but I don't know. This idea of P2P lending to me is like cloud mining. Great concept, wonderful theory. On paper, it seems almost guaranteed, with all kinds of ratings and measurements.

But then all of them eventually fail, and I worry salt will face problems down the road. It already showed that it got greedy. When things fall apart they'll just check out.

Whale manipulation + BTC rise caused a pretty big dip earlier today in the SALT prices.

I think the project is sound, but the issue is that the developer value the token too high, and this is what happens with most of these overvalued projects when they hit exchange, they suffer price dip

That doesn't make any sense.
The tokens already hit exchanges,
It dipped originally cause it came out that tokens were sold at 0.25 cents at begining of year

i have a question: if you already  have  a collateral as garanty  why  would  you need  a lending service?  Can't you just use your  collateral ammount to pay off  what you need?

IOTA is the only one with totally new technology and possibilities. That's why all the smart money already moving in
