How to buy BTC/LTC in USA. I saw some websites but wasnt sure which are the best for the US. Newbies experienced with buying BTC please reply.

Fastest method is to find someone local and buy it from them.  Use sites like https://localbitcoins.com.

Another quick method is to use Bitinstant and money order, but I don't like their fees and using money order in general.  So I opted for Dwolla and CampBX since it'll only cost me 25cents totally for any transaction.

This is how I did it - Setup Dwolla, buy BTC from CampBX, then transfer it to BTC-E to buy some LTC.  This whole process takes a long time to get started, but I feel the most comfortable doing it this way.  

• Setup Dwolla - 4-5 days to get verified
• Transfer Money from Bank to Dwolla - 3-4 days
• Transfer Dwolla to CampBx - Instant
• CampBx BTC to BTC-E- Instant only after the initial 31 day hold on the coin from tranferring externally from CampBX

Long process and painful to watch the market prices fluctuating so much when you just wanna buy some LTC right away.

I use coinbase  http://www.coinbase.com   I have it linked to a bank account that I use just for Bitcoin trasnsactions. (Easier for the tax man calculations) .  You can buy bitcoins directly from the  coinbase site at the current MtGox market price.
Couple drawbacks, you are limited to 10 bitcoins a day until you have been  verified.
Also, the bank transfer takes a few days. So it isn't instant.

I'm a fan of doing dowlla>campbx and from there if you want to trade you can move your coins to mtgox.  Mind you campbx has a 31 day hold on new users who use dwolla, you can use a money order to save time to get started.  Perhaps do a small transfer with dwolla just to get you started on that 31 days.  If you want LTC you can move your coins to BTC-e
