Title: What will happen if...?
Post by: CryptGuardian on November 06, 2017, 08:24:56 PM
- As the Dollar is the worlds leading currency aren't we (suggesting you are a westerner) working against ourselves as our economy uses mostly dollars and euros? Would'nt Bitcoins success also mean the end of the Dollar/(Euro) and Western economy in favor of other (Asian) economies?
- If Satoshi Yakamoto still holds 63% of Bitcoins and gets adopted worldwide and he donates his Bitcoins to a certain group of people (government,...)? What would the end game be?
- If every Chinese person owns 1 BTC wouldn't that make China or Chinese people the new world leaders?

Your questions are not correct. neither his name is Satoshi yakamoto, he is Satoshi nakamoto. And as  asayoyaasa says he doesn't hold 63% of bitcoins. Sorry to say but you have really bad knowledge about bitcoins. Please check coinmarketcap and see its total supply and circulating supply. you will have some idea.

There are 1.4 billion people in China. At most there are 21 million bitcoins. Even if China somehow managed to buy every bitcoin in the world, including recovering all the lost bitcoins, that's only 0.015 coins per citizen. It's impossible for "every Chinese person owns 1 BTC".

"Still, based on our speculations and the data released by people, here are some of the people who hold a big chunk of Bitcoins

Satoshi Nakamoto: The mind behind Bitcoin, it is believed to have a total of 1,148,800 unspent coins spread across various addresses. That’s about 63% unspent coins. It’s tough to determine all addresses which belong to him. We do know some from the fact that genesis block and some of the earlier blocks were mined by him. People still send contributions to those.

Hal Finney: Hal Finey (died in 2014) was the first person to receive Bitcoin in a transaction. Satoshi sent 10 BTC to him as a test. He even did some mining.

The Winklevoss twins: Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss, claim to have around 1% of the total Bitcoins in existence. They announced in April 2013 that they had acquired $11 million worth of Bitcoins.

Tim Draper: When Silkroad shut down, FBI seized its funds. It got access to a wallet having 144,000 BTC and another having 30,000 BTC. The money was auctioned off in batches. This is when Tim Draper entered the club of top holders. He was the single winning bidder for nearly 30,000 BTC.

Ross Ulbricht: He is allegedly the administrator of Silk Road going by the pseudonym “Dread Pirate Roberts”. Silk road generated around 615,000 BTC from things like transaction fees. Not all of the money was seized by FBI, and it still unclear how much of the revenue, Ross might have used.

Mark Karpeles: It is also assumed that Mt Gox Exchange founder, Mark Karpeles holds a good amount of BTC. However, we can’t say much.

That being said, one thing we can know for sure is how much Bitcoins a particular address holds. Here is a list of top 100 addresses with the most number of Bitcoins.

Also it is being said that the NSA identified Nakamoto:

How are we even sure that satoshi is a person or a group of persons or just a pseudonym?
And besides, owing Bitcoin can't make 'em world power.

Agreed. If every Chinese person for whatever reason owned 1 bitcoin, that wouldn't make China as a country the strongest world power. Instead, it would just have a larger distribution of wealth across its citizens. If China decided to tax on those coins and take some from each citizen, then it's possible that the whole nation's wealth would skyrocket in that short time and end up making China the richest country, but it would need to have a very strong military presence in order to be considered a world power.

Can you see the difference between 63% of unspent coins and 63% of Bitcoins, or is that too difficult for you to understand? Please, you're trying too hard.
You're giving baseless examples like this one

Ross Ulbricht: He is allegedly the administrator of Silk Road going by the pseudonym “Dread Pirate Roberts”. Silk road generated around 615,000 BTC from things like transaction fees. Not all of the money was seized by FBI, and it still unclear how much of the revenue, Ross might have used.

Silkroad coins were auctioned off by the FBI. They are in the hands of private investors now.

Also it is being said that the NSA identified Nakamoto:

That's pure speculation.
