What error do you get when you try to search? Is there anything you think could be blocking it like an add-on in your browser? Also, go to the "search" tab and see if that one works (its a different engine). Note that it only searches subsections of the forum: when I search "loycev" above this page, I get nothing, but when I search from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php, I get 5 pages with results.
Alternative: search on Google with the site name: "loycev site:bitcointalk.org".
