Title: [WTS] Mining Equipment (Radeon 5850, Mobos, CPU)
Post by: lionclaw on June 28, 2011, 03:20:59 PM
All of what I have left is on eBay.  If anyone wants to buy with BTC I'll sell my eq at whatever the going rate is at the time of sale.

Feel free to send me a msg through eBay if you'd like to confirm that it's me.

5870s sell for $200-$210 used.  5850s should be closer to 150.

Only in a perfect world where everything is in stock. Good luck finding those in stock rofl. I'd say 200 is just right

I managed to grab 2 5850 for $250 shipped from a non-miner.
If ppl wants pay $200 for these that's fine, but Good luck getting $200 from 300mh/s, not to mention the electricity cost + system

*shrug*

I sold all 8 of my 5830s last night for $140 each.  I've already sold 5 of the 5850s at this price.

You're lucky you're getting out when you are -- like another guy said, "it's a matter of timing."

In other words, some miners are cashing out the value of their systems BEFORE the flood of cards hits the market, which will happen very soon.
They want to sell their 5870's and 5830's while they can get top dollar for them -- while there are still some "slow" people who think we're still in a Bitcoin Mania bubble.

As I've said several times -- in any bubble, you have people who are quick, average, and slow to figure it out. I'm quick. Some average people will soon catch on. Last of all, the idiots will catch on -- after it's too late. They'll be caught holding the bag (having just bought a $160 card that's worth maybe $90 for mining purposes).

The days of getting $140 for a 5830 are numbered. The number of dumb 17 year olds begging mom for a good mining card is limited. Those kids are never going to make $150 or $160 from a 5830 -- ever. It's too late in the game for that. Maybe a few weeks ago -- but not today.

Miners will always be around and the mh you get for the value of the card is still a bargain. Don't believe me? do the math on 6990s and you'll see that 5850's are by far the best value. They're in high demand STILL and there aren't many for sale. $200 is fine, don't listen to any other lowballer stuff. If they think they can get it cheaper within reasonable time  - let them try lol.

Difficulty increase has no effect on the price of the card, its not like those ati guys are cranking out new cards just for you miners because they are aware you need more of them to keep up with bitcoin mining difficulty ROFL.
