I'm new here, I want to ask. what altcoin is good for investment?

Altcoins which bring different things to blockchain industry, if not, ones which have a big community behind them. It is really important and usufel for coins.

ETH is clearly one of the best altcoins, price fluctuations are still stable, very safe to invest in ETH
the choice is in your hands because there are so many different types of alticoin

ETH is the best alternative. It is a stable coin. If raiden network will be able to develop their application Price of ether will drastically boom. Other than ETH options are:
NEO
DASH
LTC
XRP
ZCASH

These all are premium Alts

NEO - Once China ICOs start coming back, NEO will moon.
Wabi - low cap with working product already. Good communication with investor and buy back all presale to prevent dump.
ICON - korean ethereum with lots of connection to make the technology work.

you must choose altcoins carefully and do more  analysis!

As far as altcoins is concern, ETH is the best choice. It has enjoyed the full support of the community and at one time try to challenge bitcoin dominance as the main crypto. And the price seems to be stable around $250-$300, and for me its a good investment for either long term or short term. Other premium altcoins that I'm seeing that has potentials are:

XRP, XEM, ETC, LTC and don't be surprise, BCH. Goodluck on what coins you are going to pick as investments.

I dont want to recommend any good altcoin for investment because the number 1 rule you have to know when investing not only in cryptocurrencies but all kinds of investment is never ever take any financial advice from random people specially on the internet, if you really want to invest in cryptocurrencies but can't afford to hire professional financial advisor, you can still do it by your own, first you should understand first what is blockchain and do your own research and analysis about the coin which you think have the potential to grow then start investing.

I'm curious about wabi can you give me some information nor their bitcointalk thread? I will watch and see if their coin would really nice to invest with.


How can he do his own analysis if he is newbie and doesn't know everything about altcoins? Well for his current stand I suggest that he should read those helpful and basic information regarding on altcoins and then he should try for himself to trade to know what are the flaws so that he can able to learn from his mistakes and by that he can upgrade and became knowledgable trader.

You need to do your own due diligence. Research about altcoins, search for as many infos as you can get (about team, project, roadmap, etc.), look at the charts and never be caught in pump and dump schemes!

At the end of the day, you are the one who put the money to invest, so you are the only one who should decide which coin you have to invest in. If you ask people here on bitcointalk, or facebook or on reddit, many of them just shill the coins they own.

try to pick altcoins that have a healthy community. have a look at the total supply of the coins and the market cap and the potential of the coin (product,app etc.).... find a altcoin with good devs and a strong project, buy low is key, hoodl the altcoins........... :P

Everyone got their own opinions when it comes to 'list of alt-coins they have invested in' you should do you're own research instead, I would say WAVES/XRP/XMR/NEO/POS/SC/DGB there are many more promising coins make a list and then decide which coins you should invest in and has the maximum growth potential.

most time i observe the movements in social media and some signal groups and on this base I made my investments, usually in medium or long term. Its also very important to keep the evenings in crypto to predict short time altcoins grow up.

It is simple, do not look at and wait profit bitcoin or ethereum. Your picks should be ones which are under $1M so you should make your money 10x.

Investment for altcoin, I think is good invest to ethereum coin, DASH, WAVES, if you have bittrex account, you can invest in NEO coin, that is good for longterm, but becarefull in this time. Because bitcoin not stable,

Invest in altcoins such as Ethereum as they are less volatile.
You can also look at Waves, Ripple and NEO, they seem to be more promising that most Altcoins out there now.
Invest wisely though and keep an eye on Bitcoin especially after the fork, values will change.

Any altcoins that have been in the crypto space for more than 2 years and are low in value in terms of usd should be a good choice to look at. Look at ETC, XMR and Zcash to name a few.

and I think researching the team deeper is very helpful to determine if an altcoin scam especially when ICOs

i think OKcash is the best For investment  :D

You need to know about the team, whitepaper, roadmap, at least.
If already on exchanges, u need to do TA to see how many supports and how good it is.
But, What altcoin I already invest more into is ETH, Dash and OKCash.
ETH seems promising with future plans and price's still stable and in the buy zone now.
I won't be surprised if it'll explode higher or back like it was.

Dash when there's masternode feature with low circulating supply, too.
So, I believe in this.

Its just about doing your due diligence and looking at it through the lens of how institutional investors review traditional startups. Solving a problem? Is it a solution? Niche? Good team? Good advisors? product? sweat equity? own equity? bootstrapping? etc. Doing this will allow you to cut out 95% of the shit. From then on you just need to see what the ICO's (post crowdsale) burn rate will be and if the founders are competent.
