Ive seen a lot of threads about which alt coins to invest in. Honestly right now.... I'd just focus on Bitcoin and maybe Ethereum. Bitcoin is king and has made me a small fortune in short term. Keep an eye on alts.. and if you see one skyrocketing, by all means, invest... but I think the proof is in the pudding. Bitcoin.. and a couple promising ICO's. Don't complicate it.

if you want to be successful in altcoin world you have to be always active and move around. staying in one altcoin is the death of your investment. you have to buy and dump just as fast before it becomes too late to do so.

look for the promising altcoins but mostly look for those altcoins that are rising up in price. those are the ones with the good profit ahead. and if you can catch a pump that is even better. you catch one and make a lot of profit in a short time from that pump.

What are you on about, dont chase pumps. If a coin is already pumping you've missed the train and are too late.

Yes I also agree with you, I also will focus in Bitcoin and Ether because Bitcoin is essentially a database with an unprecedented level of security, it is digital gold. find income from cryptocurrency so easy, buying bitcoin or altcoin with high quality and good roadmap,do not think too much about losses with quality altcoin, there are nothing troublesome. this is just basic formula from price, looking at quantity and stock(supply) . or you can follow bounty program.

I am also thinking that only few coins in coming time will exits and all the other coins might get wiped out or vanish easily. Now other than BTC, you need to be very strong in finding out the real coin which will be used in future and will have a good demand that will make your investment grow and make you a millionaire.

If you see an altcoin skyrocketing, don't invest in that altcoin immediately. Investigate first why that altcoin is skyrocketing because maybe it is just because of a pump and you will end up being dump on. You can check the potential support and resistance of an altcoin and then check for some fundamentals like an incoming update or event because that is how some of the groups and whales manipulate its members, releasing an incoming update of the coin and tell members or followers to buy. It would be better to buy during the accumulation phase. I think you can accumulate more bitcoin if you trade altcoin but if you are more comfortable in trading bitcoin and ethereum then it is up to you.

Its just about doing your due diligence and looking at it through the lens of how institutional investors review traditional startups. Solving a problem? Is it a solution? Niche? Godo team? Good advisors? product? sweat equity? own equity? bootstrapping? etc. Doing this will allow you to cut out 95% of the shit. From then on you just need to see what the ICO's (post crowdsale) burn rate will be and if the founders are competent.

Good replies.  People are so interested in alt coins.. I was one of them but like I said... Bitcoin is king. And find a nice ICO that seems popular and check their whitepaper. Keep it simple.

You can try finding a solid coin that is promising to provide a dividend and watch for good entry points, dollar cost averaging in.

I have been keeping my eye on altcoins and have come across Propthereum.io. An asset backed cryptocurrency on the blockchain. The most importat step is interest all cryptocurrencies and watching them. Find good quality coin and try with low sum invest in it. Probably it will be worth because it is not hard, trust me.

Good advice! I( have found the same thing. Good ICO's can be a great investment. One has to be very careful however. I am. I am currently now only in Bitcoin and 3 selecfted ICO's.

i see a lot of "invest in ICO" suggestions but they don't usually tell you how risky this kind of investments are. you are practically gambling with your money when you invest it in ICOs.
they are not legal in may jurisdictions and you don't know much about the company that you are giving your money to. it is so easy to scam and run away with the money too. and there is nothing you can do about it either.
not to mention all the dumps that happen after the release and how the prices of these tokens usually tank hard.

of course there is profit too. but considering the risks, i say investing in altcoins the normal way is preferable.

In my own experience it is POS which gave a good amount of their tokens for free.
Their exchange rate is also at a high price but right now some dumps happened maybe because of the fork.
It is a good time to buy it now.

True, bitcoin is king and focusing with it you'll never lose. Unlike those suggestions that are pushing you to invest with some undervalued coins that aren't too popular but there are some too that are on that state but is something to growl in due time. You should make yourself bring up and start with a nice portfolio, focus with a long term plan and go with a plan B for short term investments with those alts.

Bitcoin is sure thing for sure. But people made a lot of money with alts.
If you ask me now it's time to buy.

A good rule of thumb to follow is safety of the investment is proportional to marketcap of the coin... so bitcoin is 4 or 5x safer than ETH... and other coins are much less than these two. Obviously there is a lot of variation (plus circulating supply vs total supply etc), but for a coin that you don't know much about, current cap can tell you quite a bit.

although different person has their on unique way to invest but I the basic advice for you is not to stay on the single coin but move yourself and seek for the new coin in this way you can gather a lot of new coins and make a lot of profit from it focusing on the single coin is a good choice but there are a lot of ways to get more profit and it may depend on that person

You must watch the market all the time, make a lot of research about the coins you want to invest in, and finally, think will you wait for a king of coins named BTC to get lower and invest in it or will you invest in another crypto.

Buy from good Alt-coins right after launching. Many "investors" dump as soon as they see some price increase.
There is a good opportunity to buy after that - sometimes lower than the ICO price.

And if you couldn't succeed buying during ICO lunch, then you buy before any bitcion hardforks.

I would agree, investing in Bitcoin right now is win win, but very hard for someone who has just joined and quite new to the cryptoworld. Some alts out there will be able to make you some profit with the right research. ICO's must be promising too, i totally agree.

I only uphold one thing when it comes to investing i would rather check if it is legit and really secured. Nowadays a lot of scammers and hackers is always there to scam you so it is better to fully check the investing sites. It is better to invest with bitcoin now because price is really unstoppable.

believe bitcoin is a safe step in the face of risk, but do not dare to apply altcoin that can give an advantage in a short time.
Maybe with good learning and high speculation can lead you to a much faster success.
