Title: Do you think bitcoin be bullish in 2018?
Post by: Salz01 on November 07, 2017, 11:40:26 AM
This topic may seem easy to address but then ,I think we should think over this and possibly talk about fundamentals that can make it bullish if you think it will, because technically, there should be some correction with respect to the yearly chart analysis.

The average growth of Bitcoin for the past 2 years is 14.89% per month.
This means that, not only it is likely that Bitcoin will be bullish in 2018, but it also has the potential to close the 2018 over $20,000.

Bitcoin Right now are revving up again back at the $6500 value, in the following year of 2018 we are not so sure when that pump will happen again but there is a big chance it can but for now let's just savor the price of bitcoin because it will not go drop again because we had seen the correction and had seen a great drop in price that is why we can see a great leap again.

technically there already has been lots of corrections. or maybe you are ignoring all of them and just see the final result which is a big mistake. when you analyze the market you should consider all the movements not just start and end.
a correction is when people cash out their profit and price comes down a little compared to how much it has gone up.
for example recently price went up to $7888 and fell down to $5555! what do you call the drops like this if not corrections. although most of them are coming with FUD and lots of panic sells but they are still corrections.

That's a no brainer. Bitcoin will be bullish, not only in 2018 but for the next five to ten years or until governments regulate cryptocurrency and becomes mainstream. Then bitcoins will just be a part of everyday life.

My point of view is similar to this one. The growth rate of Bitcoin has been good last year and terrific this year. BTC just reached $7000 from $1000 this year which is 7x times the capital. If the growth rate continues with the same speed then BTC might cross $20k by the end of next year.
Many big investors have joined the Bitcoin community lately and this has lead to a massive growth in Bitcoin community.

I would say that anything above ten thousand dollars is a great price. Yes, the price will increase. Next year will see more adoption, which means a higher price. With investment banks and firms joining the bitcoin train, I wont be surprised to see $20,000 in 12 months.

There's a possibility that it will especially if something will happen that is infavor with Bitcoi. and will positively affect its market demand. But to be more realistic, i think it will be priced at 18000$ on the third quarter of 2018,next year. There are lots of factors that may affect its value and it always has to do with its market demand.

It doesn't make sense. Because the performance has been amazing so far for 2017 it doesn't mean it has to do too also for 2018.
Especially if you don't have an argument to explain why it could be. Following your logic so most of the stock option should do well for the next year no matter what will happen

Technically it should do correction, but it has been always like this with bitcoin. It always defies what should be technically supposed to happen. Webbot predicts it will be bullish and above 10K, I assume it will be bullish.

Bitcoin will be more in demand by year 2018. Yes it will be more growth that people will still believe in bitcoin. Thus, I think bitcoin will be bullish in year 2018 and more adopts the use of bitcoin.

I have a simple reason. I'm not that much into the technical growth. Look at the day of it being into usage as a storage token or some form of technology solution for world needs. By that time the usage was very low, but now what it has reached is big as well the implementation of technology into different areas keeps on increasing. This will surely lead to growth rather than fall.

Every year of bitcoin is a year of growth. And we will expect again another bullish on 2018, those companies that you had mentioned will just shock the people and be into the news that they are now good with bitcoin. Many are hoping that this will be the year that will be finally seeing bitcoin get into $10,000 rate.

No need to be a rocket scientist to understand that Bitcoin's demand is only increasing, especially now the average person is more and more interested in investing in Bitcoin.

And what exactly do you mean with companies adopting the technology? That they will adopt the blockchain? If so, that might be the case, but that would likely be their own blockchain and not Bitcoin's blockchain.

It will not have any impact on Bitcoin's market at all, so if you were hoping for that to happen, then you'll end up in a big disappointment ~ it's not for nothing that they invest millions into research and development.

The actual thing about the bitcoin futures trade in the next year. That will give a lot of the demand to the bitcoin as the more speculators are playing in the bitcoin itself. As you can see about that will bring the more value to the bitcoin in the next year.

It seems to me that once the bitcoin has lost some of the money people started to panic. This is stupid. Bitcoin was and is still very long to remain king in the market of cryptocurrency. In fact, what happened? Bitcoin has risen in price by 7 times, and then fell to $ 1,000. For the growth of 600% a year is not enough. I now only believe in bitcoin.

Bitcoin can easily touch $30k by 2018 end. We saw a perfect bullish market this year for BTC from $1000 to $7000. A 600% growth. By year end CME group is going to launch Bitcoin future, price is set to boost and might touch $8000. I believe bitcoin can easily go 3-4x next year as well because more bigger companies and bank will get into cryptos boosting demand and growth.

I do not think we are going to have such a great year as this one was, I think most of the next year bitcoin is not going to move much, this was such a great year that we cannot have another one like this two years in a row, we need a break, we need some time to accumulate bitcoin, the price cannot move up forever.

It's on daily trend even the mainstream media in different countries are starting to get attached with bitcoin. And lately I had watched a radio station talking about bitcoin that it will replace the payment system and it's something that is a game changer in the world of financial. Demand will increase and I'm expecting that the bull will happen during the mid-end of the year.

Exactly, cause anything is possible with bitcoin when it comes to price speculation. For sure no one will say bitcoin will get to $6k by the end of 2017. So, 2018 might be much higher than expected. Just wait and watch.

Bullish for sure in BTC price by the end of the year 2018. If everything goes as per line, I mean no negative news or ban, BTC will surely cross $15k in 2018. BTC has become quite popular in last few month, market cap has increased by 25% in past few weeks. That means new BTC users has joined this crypto-market in last few weeks. And they all gain profit from the market as the market was bullish, this will bring more confidence in them.

$30k is not really going to happen on next year but I can see that this is possible but not on 2018. I'm still having some thoughts on long term prediction in bitcoin, as long as there will be no interruption we can see bitcoin hitting a nice price for the upcoming years. We did saw this year on how fast the transition of price movement from $1,000 to $7,000 that was a 700% increase and still kicking to the possibility of $8,000 before this year ends.

I say yes, year 2018 is still a peak season in which bitcoin will earned more followers because of increasing popularity that more and more investors are pouring in to join the investment. In addition, more countries now are legalizing and adopting bitcoin because they believed it will improve their economy and it will bring prosperity to their people. All of these will continue to maintain the high demand of bitcoin making price value will constanty stable.

With CME entering the scene, yes but with the existing tension between BCH,BTG,China,Developers political issues and a lot more rumors , I don't see Bitcoin being bullish because of that, but if i want to be optimistic enough then, I see Bitcoin being bullish but the movement will be slowly.

$30,000 that's a very optimistic prediction for the price of bitcoin on 2018 when it comes bullish but that's possible. What's even impossible is when someone says it will be $100,000.

I'm good when bitcoin finally hit the 5 digit mark by the end of year on 2018. I'm not expecting more of the price since there are swings and fluctuations.

After this CME gets on this December, well be into another stage of prediction if movements are quick.

The price of bitcoin is not easy to predict. You can know that it will be bullish in the future for sure but you do not know how much it is in the future. The price of bitcoin depends on many factors. In my opinion, the important factor is bitcoin's society. The bigger society, the higher price of bitcoin.  ;D

I believe Bitcoin will be bullish this coming 2018, I think the coming CME implemenataion will partially play a  role in this, once it is implemented the next step would be would be ETF.  Aside from that there are also development in line for Bitcoin that will definitely put the bulls in steroid.  Bitcoin is getting to the mainstream little by little.

Of course that it will be bullish, and maybe much more than this year, you should know that a lot of things are going to happen to bitcoin during next year.
The most important thing that bitcoin is going to have, is that the CME is going to list bitcoin on their futures list, it means that the price will surely go upto $10k each bitcoin.
And amazon is probably going to start accepting bitcoin, it means that it will rise a lot too because of this.

I am really trying to picture what the market cap would be like next year as the adoption is going to turn out massive than what we have had this year. So many countries are really looking into the blockchain technology at this moment; a lot of companies are looking at how they can make things work as they partake in the technology as well. However, my main worry now is the transaction fee as well as the long period of confirmation which is not really speaking well, but with the LN being established, it would really bring a huge positive impact.

We have literally been spoiled with how the market has increased nearly 700% in less than 12 months. However, we shouldn't expect it to stretch out all the way till next year similarly. I am confident in a further increase for sure, but nothing like what we have experienced this year, and that while there is still more than a month to go. If we maintain the bullishnes, we might attempt to reach $20,000 next hear in the best scenario, but let's first see how things are when it comes to CME. They have the ability to push this market closer to $20,000 than I think is possible right now. Obviously, that's assuming they manage to get an approval.

now bitcoin prices are very surprising ,, but we are all still save for next year ,, and hope the price will increase drastically .. I was convinced that the current price is still cheap if we compare with next year ,, one of the risks is when found a drastic price collapse .. it could happen when transaction costs do not make sense

We have seen the transaction cost being the real issue of bitcoin? But why is the price still skyrocketing? It doesn't make sense. However, the reason that I'm seeing why bitcoin is still rising despite the high cost of transaction is that it has gained the confidence and trust of most of all investors, not just investors but big time investors. So this march will still continue up to 2018 and we can see bitcoin trying to test $10K early 2018.

It will be a heck of a ride and its gonna be fun, so matter what the transaction cost is, its doesn't matter, as long as investors are pouring in cash, there will be no problem and the price will continue to rise, I guess.

Basically, bitcoin has now reached the $8,000 earlier and is expected to rise until the end of the year. If we are going to compare the prices back on January 2017 and today, you will observe that the price definitely skyrocketed by at least 400-500% from its price. By 2018, I expect bitcoin to continuously rise, especially that CME Group Inc., the biggest exchange, is beginning to accept bitcoin for trading. Though it may be difficult to predict what may happen next year like forks, segwits, etc., it is safe to assume that its price will increase.

Very bullish. 2018 is the year when Wall Street enters the Bitcoin market. Price may reach $30k in 2018

I think that 2018 will be another year of growth. More people and major companies will adopt the technology. Critics will eventually be outnumbered.

Correct investment in the blockchain is useless unless is in the bitcoin blockchain, we need to make that distinction because it is not uncommon to see people in the forum claiming that bitcoin is getting more accepted and they publish a news about a private company developing their own blockchain.

With CME entering the scene, yes but with the existing tension between BCH,BTG,China,Developers political issues and a lot more rumors , I don't see Bitcoin being bullish because of that, but if i want to be optimistic enough then, I see Bitcoin being bullish but the movement will be slowly.
No I don’t think so that the movement will be slow I think there will be more new regions that will accept bitcoin in start of 2k18 and that will bring new investor for the bitcoin and this will surely give huge pump to the bitcoin prices and as prices are at 7.5k these will surely cross 15k in the mid of 2ki8 and hatters will be like “oh my god” why didn’t we invested into btc so take advantage of now and jump into the pool.

Next year could be another great year for bitcoin and the price might jump even higher and faster. There will be some corrections too, it will not go up all the time but I don't expect some biger dumps unless situations like forks, cancelled forks and similar stuff happen too often again. I believe the price might reach 10000$ in 2018 easily. And I expect biger and biger number of users but that might also cause some problems.

I speculate so, I speculate BTC will cross $20K by mid-2018 and BTC will remain bullish throughout the year.

i think that price is to high . maybe bitcoin cant reach that speculated value by mid 2018. Cause the reason that bitcoin is always volatie and we cannot speculate if after 2017 it will stay stable or let we say it will continue to climb until mid 2018 and reach $20k maybe it will fluctuate again until bitcoin Became like what happenes before.

I would say bitcoin would go beyond the $10000 level but not more than $20000 in 2018. That is a conservative analysis of the market. More people will definitely invest on bitcoin but will not invest that much money since the price is already high so a repeat on the current year's price leap of 700% is impossible. 200% - 250% leap for the next year is optimistic.

That's true large scale investment won't be found much due to the increased price. Based on that the fork from the main chain will get importance. In specific bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold and upcoming fork will gain popularity as well grow high as the potential outburst has already taken place.

I think yes there is much chances for bitcoin to bull in the coming year i.e. 2018 if we find a correlation of crypto currencies then the result come with me that the bitcoin value will be rise in the next year the users are buying this currency and the demand is increasing day by day. This will affect the buying behavior of the users but the bitcoin will be bullish in the next year. This will bring many changes in the prices of altcoins as well

I do not understand why, when people talk about the growth of bitcoin prices, do they always call this moment bullish? This is not the first time I've met such an expression, but I can not understand the reason.

There is no need to surprise about, In fact bitcoin has the potential to remain as bullish for a long long time. People always expect the price of bitcoin to increase and give them good profit, that is why they always consider the market always bullish. We can hope that it will remain as bullish for a long time and very soon we are going to see touching 10000$.

This topic may seem easy to address but then ,I think we should think over this and possibly talk about fundamentals that can make it bullish if you think it will, because technically, there should be some correction with respect to the yearly chart analysis.
Over to you

There is no correction, the discovery of the price is because of the demand itself. Many people, institutions, companies and governments are BTC and of course the price will go up because the demand is rising.

Some experts are saying that BTC may go up to 20k plus dollars. But for me it can go higher that that. Hailed as the gold of the internet and one of the best crypto investment and commodity, many people will use BTC in my opinion at the year 2018 as a mode of backed up money and reserve for their companies and institution making it as a in demand currencies and we will have a price discovery again that might go up to 30k$ and up.

If billionaires will start buying bTC, for example google makes BTC as a current back up for their net value or toyata make it too as a reserve for their net value, imagine how BTC's price will grow. The price of BTC right now is still small when we compared it for it's potential to become a commodity.

You know BTC is still going strong despite that people are forking it and it's trasactions are slow? Because some of us already gave up that BTC will be the mode of payment, and on their perspective like gold it will be the best commodity that they will ever had.

And for the miners, I'm hoping that they can find a way to mine in an efficient and more economical way.

Impossible to predict for now. When December comes i think things will definitely clear up quite a bit as to what the general direction for 2018 will be. Right now there will be speculation but it won't be fruitful.

If bitcoin hits 5 figures or more by next month then coming into 2018 could be another crazy year for bitcoin. If the $10k resistance is higher than expected, then markets will likely adjust down to $7-8k and it'll be interesting to see whether or not the trend turns bearish in 2018.

Either way as i said, we'll have to wait till at least next month to see.

If we are going to based everything on the historical logs, we can't really say for certain that bitcoin will remain bullish. There's a lot of things that can happened this year alone a growth of more than 700% has achieved. Can we repeat it? Hard  to say but one things for certain that bitcoin will be having a crazy year in 2018. Demand is really getting high and many institutions and company are investing. I'm also waiting for the Amazon acceptance and lot of nations making bitcoin legal or regulated. A conservative 100-200% growth estimation seems likely, in my opinion.

Yep, if you compare bitcoin to 2013 then 2014 and 2015 were all pretty bearish years for bitcoin, no doubt about it. 2018 could obviously be the year that the bull trend finally stops and there comes a couple of corrections that brings down the price.

Though if that is going to happen i doubt it's going to happen in the first half, rather than in the second half of the year.

Right now we're still quite bullish, and no way it's going to end before the end of the year at least.

Many persons see the amazing results we got this year and they think we are going to get the same results in the next, if the price doubled I will be fine with that however at the same time the CME is going to have a huge effect on bitcoin and that may make the price to go even higher.

CME and other futures are going to finally allow for massive amounts of shorting.  I’m not sure they will help the price go up at all.  Investors are really looking for a way to short BTC.

I believe bitcoin will hit $30,000 by end of 2018 if not too much interference from the governments. So start triple your Bitcoin now with little to no risk.

That all people just do that they keep bitcoin in the hope for the next year and raise the price even more. For a common man, it's hard to buy at such a price and go to the market, so most likely there will be a stagnation in the price and everything will die in anticipation.

Same as 2017, the upcoming year too will be bullish. Lot of people were getting aware about bitcoin as well other digital currencies available. This will let them get into the trading and other activities related to bitcoin expecting profit. Another thing for the bullish trend to go forward is the technology implementation.

Well if you look at the uptrends that happened recently during this year , i can say the same as you guys.
But remember everything could changed drastically with cryptocurrency  , decentralized is the reason.
Stay on the line and risk only the amount you can afford to lose , next year should be the next big thing in bitcoin but don't forget about the worst scheme also.

Hmm lets see, China no longer can try to manipulate things because they already shut down everything (though granted not the mining). So no more FUD from China most likely.

Wall Street is planning on entering, first just with futures to bet on the price, but ETFs and direct hedge fund buying of Bitcoin should also happen in 2018 so that is suppperrrrr bullish.

Organic user growth is going crazy and that will continue so bulllliissshhh.

Square starting to implement Bitcoin into their traditional payment mobile app will lead competitors to do the same so bullllissssh.

With two years of solid growth under Bitcoin's belt, including the amazing year this year, people are going to keep have high confidence that Bitcoin will be more valuable in the future so bullllliiisssshhh.

Segwit will hopefully achieve full adoption in the early part of the year which will reduce fees for at least the time being, unless adoption is up so much that even full segwit blocks are getting filled by the time it is fully adopted. So this comes down to will Core decide to raise the block size limit. If they do very bullish. If they don't the problem will at some point result in bearish.

Will LN hit in 2018? Is LN network even a viable solution? If yes, super bullllisssssh. If no, then block size MUST be increased in the meantime to get fees down. If neither thing happens bearish :( but if LN and block increase or even at least just LN happen then bulllllishhh.

Overall very bullish. I think first half of year is guaranteed to be super bullish, but scaling issues will need to be dealt with by then if it is going to keep rising to $40k+ or $50k+ by end of year.

Well that sounds possible by 2018 to have that $50k by the end of the year, but we the bullish will really affect the traders decisions. Block increase cannot have fees to go down as long as miners will produce faster transactions, yet promt service can help the blockchain network run smoothly. So when it keep rising and rising as long as demands soars higher even better and better.

The biggest difference is there is not really any kind of sign that bitcoin is going to enter a bearish market, what I mean is just look at all the things that are happening, it is almost impossible to think that we are going to see a huge crash and the bears taking over the market.
