Only thing I can think of is if you are using Minepeon, and USB device to mine with, that CGMiner sometimes (depending on what you are running Minepeon off of, like I use RPi) has problems with USB devices that arent plugged into a powered hub. The solution has been either to get a powered hub, or disable CGMiner in Minepeon and enable BFGMiner. Virtually the same program, but BFG should work.
