MyEtherWallet.com | always make sure you're entering the correct URL. There's too much phishing attempts happening. Either bookmark their link or make sure you're typing the exact correct URL when accessing MEW.

The best wallet for ethereum is MyEtherWallet and ETH Address. MyEtherWallet  is best for beginners as it provides us control by saving our keys on our equipment rather than the servers.ETH Address is a software that lets us generate papaer wallet for use in cold storage and can be imported easily into s/w to spend currency simply by scanning the QR code.

I agree, myetherwallet is my preferred wallet and where I hold most of my ether, but you asked which is most convenient. If you are a US citizen coinbase is actually FDIC Insured up to 250,000 USD.

Of course you don't hold your private keys on the coinbase/GDAX wallet but many rest safely knowing they their funds are insured. It is also much more convenient for someone starting out.

Also, I'm not sure if you heard about the parity wallet news today but I'll include a link to an article.

So I would recommend avoiding this one for the moment if this was one you were considering.

If you just want to keep ethereum in my opinion a nice and safe wallet is just myetherwallet. Because until now there are many who use it and security issues are very safe as long as you are careful and keep your private key. I also use it and until now my ethereum is safe.

I recommend myetherwallet as a convenient wallet storing different kinds of tokens, coins and Ethereum.
Its secure
decentralize
easy to use
unique
trusted
highly recommended
popular
and an ERC20 compatible
All you need is a private key and you have a full control of your wallet.
