BTG official network is expected to start on Nov 12 2017, 7 PM UTC. The current mining ports and accounts will be automatically transferred from testnet to main net mining.

My only issue right now is no windows wallet you have to use either a Smart phone or I'm guessing any tablet that you can load the Apps on  ..I have a tablet coming but not because of BTG mining, i need/want one for other reason, why  I'm guessing .... don't have one yet to find out.

Thanks for info! Should check pools from the 11th November evening. But previous year situation with ZEC start could be repeated when the best choise was to mine Equihash on Nicehash due to most of then Equihash pools had detained withdrawals

You are absolutely right. Nicehash is the best choice in this situation.

You can't really compare the two as ZEC had no supply when it started. BTG has alot of supply so don't expect much. And with auto switchers now and a settled algorithm, the scenario is totally different. I would use electroneum as a use case if i where you but that could be wrong also as ETN has no supply but an established alog

Previous year with ZEC it was also difficult to get Zcash wallet address as with BTG now. Why dev team of Bitcoingold doesn't release even desktop wallet before mining launch?

About autoswitch: I think it's not the best option. You can use your favorite algo and mine directly to Bitcoin address by using Nicehash stratums

Suprnova is a big pool but I'm curious that why BTG website doesnt list suprnova in pools category.

Interesting news, will be keeping an eye on this to see how profitable it is at the start.

I will probably just use SuprNova to test it on Sunday as I've used it in the past for mining DCR.

I also use Nicehash but they always have problems with updates. I always use a previous version or very early. I think that mining is through Nicehash will be possible without problems in December. If they don't find opportunities to replace its programmers. In any case I will follow the news.

wallets or the ones ill be using ...... you can get your wallets now and set up for 2 pm est US if your in the US est, didn't check other time zones ... Plus any wallet you used testing make sure it's your own because they are suppose to converted to live as well .. so don't use the wallet some test pools gave you, get your own with private keys ...
