Anyway, what this means is that anything like online poker and online soccer betting is now banned(or any kind of online gambling) and (some)domains redirect to some Markmonitor webpage. You have legal (online) casinos in pretty much every country in Europe. Malta & Gibraltar are where most of the big online casino headquarters are located because of tax reasons. (online) gambling became a government monopoly. :S (yes, monopoly is evil in my opinion)
There's one bad thing though, people have no idea what is bitcoin, furthermore even if they heard about it they have deep misconceptions mostly because of all the BS flowing from the media. In hungary there weren't any positive articles appearing about bitcoin for example. Anyhow, add to the fact that many people do not have internet access and most of the population is brainwashed throught TV... Very nice circumstances for a new currency to get adopted. :-[ |
