BTC will have a Hard Fork but Now BTC doesn`t have a power.

Reach more than 8000USD within Hard Fork or not?

Yep, i think we break 8000$, last days was a rests day.
We have about a week, will have another bullish run before the Hard Fork.

yes i think it will reach the 8k. It can't be long until this happens

Personally I'm sure this will happen and the Bitcoin market can reach $ 8000 this week or next week because setwit2x is approaching and everyone wants to get free B2X and this will make the Investors buy Bitcoin more than sell

8000 is a very low estimate, after the fork though I believe that BTC will kinda sink, but within a couple of months it will reach 10k minimum. That is due to the many announcements that have been made from institutions to integrate BTC into their markets. CME for example wants to trade BTC as though it's a commodity, they even said they want to "tame" BTC which is funny, because they can't do that. But it will be traded just like gold and oil, as  future, which means people will be able to short it (gain profit if the price falls) as well as go long (profit when the price appreciates). Either way you'll be good being well invested in the coin and make sure to invest in some other top 10 coins just for good measure.

I think yes before the end of this year, btc will surpass the $8k mark. Because there is another fork next month. So, after this fork the price will dip slightly and then investors will move back to btc to prepare for the next fork.

People expecting 8k will probably make it go there. But btc is heavily overpriced and its risky to hold till 8k

i think with the next fork coming is not exactly sure what will happen, there is even the possibility (remote imo) that bitcoin will disappear or become less dominant  :o

I believe that bitcoin will come even above this value because people are prejudiced against the altcoins.
It will take some time for people to get used to new projects.

A lot of traders seem to not believe in double tops, they call them unicorns as if they happen once in a blue moon. Turns out the CME futures announcement is driving a rally and we'll see once again if the double top as a very rare event happens and BTC fails to reach 8K this year, or if it breaks this rule and we get past $8000 as predicted by Goldmans Sachs recently.

I'm mostly along the moods mentioned by above posters. The fork is a major event not to be underestimated. A correction incoming. But a retreat at 50% Fibonacci level would surprise even me. Leveraged shorts in a high volatile market equal suicide.
End of year above $8000 are kinda set.

Yes I think we may see bitcoin price will reach $8000 today due to segwit2x is cancelled. I think lots of people will come again to invest in bitcoins than altcoins. We may even see $10000/bitcoins by the november end. Let's see what will happen now.

I think BTC  will have arrived 8000 use before SEGWIT2X Hard Fork. After the Hard fork, i don't know what is the big wonder for us.  maybe BTC again falls down after the hard fork.

It's really close already, but it also might go down because of B2X suspension. Personally I think a lot of people invested more in BTC to get some free cash with B2X.

A lot of people on reddit seem open to the option to move to BCH to circumvent the high tx fees on BTC network.. that will bring down BTC price as well.

We can possibly hit that price range but not for this year for sure specially the fork has been canceled which would lead really lead on possible correction on the price when people are already deciding to profit taking and going back into altcoins.Actually I didn't expect for b2x cancellation but yet we should really face this situation though which b2x didn't get sufficient support.

I think it will not be reached because of the close of the junction event and the current bitcoin price is still $ 7,800 but for the rest of this year the bitcoin price will fluctuate slightly but its increase will no longer and probably Next year the bitcoin will reach $ 8000

It is possible indeed that bitcoin will reach $8000. Bitcoin will still continues its demand then the price increase. So, I am sure it will hit $8000 this year.

Probably not today. It's already dropped $500 as people start to move back into alts. Later this year, quite possible, but I doubt it will be that fast. I'd expect a correction down to the $6k mark, and alts to jump as investors seek higher returns.

because the fork is not happening and we have different timezones, I would recommend to buy in altcoins now.

Big gainers so far are NEO, IOTA, XMR, OMG, WAVES. ...for short time they will get a nice pump.

That price is not that far away and now that we are finding out that the fork planed by the miners it is not going to happen then I think that reaching that price has become a certainty, in fact I will not be surprised if we reached that price in the next days since the enthusiasm is going to be great now that we got the news that bitcoin is not going to be forked once again and that the miners are going to keep mining bitcoin for the foreseeable future.

But it will and i think this year, historic of bitcoin shows that after big drop it has something like big pump so i just want to see it until end of the year.

8k yes, 10k maybe. the question is when rather than will it hit. bitcoin is still in early phrase and if the price is not able to exceed the current ath, then it will only decrease in time and died out eventually.

It was very close to $8k yesterday, I saw the price at $7700, I think $8k is not an issue the next is $10k, which I believe is a huge milestone. I saw an article on twitter that Bitcoin EFT is around the corner so this could be what we are all looking for to give the price a push

That's a good question. And it's really hard to tell. Within Hard fork it might not. It's really becoming more volatile at the moment in my opinion. But it's kind of close so it's not impossible to even reach 9 or perhaps 10 soon.

Bitcoin Silver is BS, and not actually a real fork. Don't expect it to drive up BTC value. With 2x cancelled, BTC will probably drop before bouncing back in a month or two.

There is a big possibility that it will happen as of writing the bitcoin is already 7371 USD.
It raises silmutaneously for a short period of time and my bet is yes it will reach to 8k USD per bitcoin.

I think it is easy to reach 8000 USD after bitcoin hit ATH 7500 USD, but probably not for now after segwit canceled. prices still stable no decline in the high number.
but the alts have started come back, just waiting for the time of bitcoin down if there is no event occurs.

I see it is happening soon. Now that segwit2x has been called off, there is no way it cannot happen. Just be patience for that soon. It may even surpass what you expect to.

8000 is an underestimate! Within the coming months BTC will be listed in CME markets. CME is one of the biggest futures and derivative exchanges in the world, which is huge! People will all of the sudden be able to trade Bitcoin or bet against it, which means that regulatory oversight will sort of take place. That's great, because investors that are currently not investing in the crypto space do so because there is clarity missing, or regulation in other words. By regulating the market we'll be seeing much more participants and money flowing into BTC, which means the price will not only reach 8000 but 10000+ within the next couple of months. Unless we have a major retrace of course or other news pop out that will damage the image of crypto currencies. You're in good hands though if you're invested in BTC because the value will eventually go higher than it already is, it has done so since its inception.

Truth is bitcoin is going to accelerate in such a way that everyone will marvel. The best decision everyone can make for themselves and their family is to invest in bitcoin, it's never too late. 8000bucks is just a walk in the park, before the first half of next year, it will double your prediction.

Bitcoin can surely reach $8000 . Now since the fork is suspended the money is flowing to Altcoins and they are increasing in price.
Bitcoin had gone through a minor dump which is a usual thing and recovered 50% of the price. The support is strong for Bitcoin and it shows its potential to cross $8000 very soon. By the end of this year Bitcoin might touch $8000 as the growth rate for BTC has been too good this year.

I hope so, with 80% bitcoin will climb >$8000 the end of this year and 20% bitcoin reach that on January 2018. Bitcoin still have more space to increase, and next year hopefully we can see new ATH and also good news about crypto.

In my Experience

I say  yes it is very possible that btc can cross 8000$, but if there is no btc fork on November there will be a high chance for btc to go down a bit and will stable around 5500$ to 6000$.

Already crossed $7800 and then decrease to $7000, so 8k not going to take too much time.

8k will happen and I feel it would have if the fork had gone ahead, but now I suspect that it will take some time before we see 8k reached, perhaps later this year or in the early parts of 2018.

I definitely believe it will go way beyond 8000USD, but not before CME open up the gates, which will happen in December the earliest. I personally expect some correction now in the short term (next weeks).

The correction is already happening. I fully expect it to drop to around $6k, before rising again in late Dec/early Jan. But I'm a novice, so what do I know?  ;D

I have been following many speculations concerned this hardfork and how traders has said they are going to trade during this hardfork time.  Many has speculated that bitcoin is going to be above $8000 other said we maybe above $10,000 but I think we would hit $10,000 before end of this year and we would need to believe that this speculation is going to happen. The sigwith2x activation has been postponed because of lack of concession and is no long hold this year again but I still expect a serious pump in price since we at the end of the year.

If everything goes well and in favour of bitcoin, I don't think there will be any issue reaching 8000 USD within the end of the year. We know the price of bitcoins fluctuates a lot, but external factors play an important role for these fluctuations.
The segwit2x fork has already been suspended due to lack of support. So i guess no other fork will take place within this month or year.

It would be pretty easy for Bitcoin to have a price around $8k though there is too much people selling it off for dust.

I think before the finish of this current year bitcoin cross 8k USD milestone however as of now it creating a correction. Completion this correction at 6950 USD again blast it's my personal opinion ::)

I don't know why this is on the speculation(altcoins) section, this should be on the speculations board of economics since this is a discussion for bitcoin. But I'll answer, bitcoin can reach $8,000 before this month ends and it will be stable as December enters and can stay in the mid month before this year ends. There's no fork anymore and the pump will be due to the people having more money in the pocket.

You can see after the announcement there will be no segwit2x, the price of bitcoin has risen nearly reached 7900$, so it is opening a new oppotunity for bitcoin to rise higher, to reach more than 8000$ in just months from now, and 10000$ in just next year.

BTC will reach $8000 for sure. If my analysis are to be believed, this will happen in Q1 2018.

But before that, we will probably experience another big correction (sub $6000).

I think maybe at the end of this year? If the fork had happened it would already have reach 8000 USD. Now, it grows slowly. I don't think BTC will go below 7000 USD. It doesn't seem to be the case for the moment. But we never know. If someone need money and sell lots of BTC, that could happen.

That's actually my wild expectations for BITCOIN's market value before this year ends. :) Let's just see since it's market value is volatile that you wouldn't expect it to rise like crazy.

BTC is a powerful cryptocurrency. It increases its price so fast, from a no value coin in 2009 to a 7000 dollar coin in 2017. It always price up in everytime I look for its price chart. Expecting to reach 8000 dollars is not impossible because it was almost there. A thousand dollar is just needed to reach that price and there is no way that BTC will boost down because it was stable in 7000 dollars and increasing so I think it will reach 8000 dollars.

It is good to see that at least part of people on this forum start getting a bit skeptical about short term value of Bitcoin. Few months ago everyone was predicting price to just go up. Now many thinks is time for a consolidation and expect price to reach new ATH only next year.   One thing is sure, Bitcoin is not super cheap as it was a year ago when was sub $1000.

By the time you get your coins from the ICO and the coins become unlocked for trading, the price of Bitcoin will be much higher than it originally was.

Now that bicoin is back from drop of price and starting to increase again, I think bitcoin price can reach the $8000 by the end of this month since it still has half way of the month. You should invest to bitcoin now to have better income in the future.

It is not impossible but also it is cant reach that fast. It went down to 5500 in the past days but easily rise up again at 7200$. So we are just waiting for another fork or any other big miners that will help pump the price.

8k dollars is possible to happen because as of now the price of bitcoin is already 7200. Maybe next week the price become 8k dollars so be ready for that and you will earn a lot of profit. It is not just that. Some ICOs are such blatant frauds that the developers just raise the funds and then retire. You might not even get an opportunity to trade them. It is much safer to stick to Bitcoin.

bitcoin will not reach $8k within hardfork but it seems to go to the moon caused by the CME futures trade, two biggest company in the US already tried to give a possibility to enable the bitcoin future trade in there.

Bitcoin will reach $8000 soon. The current pricing stands at a massive $7700 which just broke the $7500 mark and I don't see it stopping. I don't know when this rally will end but it does encourage more users.

I don't see why not. At the moment it's already over 7700$ so this could happen very soon. Bitcoin has shown recently that it can fall in price fast but also recover very fast, much faster than it was before. This shows biger resilience and that contributes to higher trust level of the users. Except some newcomers that panic on the first sign of price corrections. But I think that the price of 8500$ could be a nice gift for Christmas.

Even yet the price have been driven down on previous days but seeing on on whats happening it is already reaching out for breaking that $8000+ price range which is really good to see such thing. Hard fork isnt realy be an issue if bitcoin would lose its power but now it did regain again on we are now again on bullish trend.

I di believe that it will. The market value of bitcoin recently fell, but at this moment it have fully recovered and is now again priced at 7400$. Reaching 8000$ of market value can be predicted based on the statistics and dynamic of Bitcoin in the market. There's a huge possibility that before this year end, Bitcoin will have a market value of 8000$ or more if things will go infavor with Bitcoin and if no problems will be encountered.

I have done the analysis and believe that the price of Bitcoin will increase ahead of Christmas. it all happens every year and we all deserve to get it this year as well.

The price of a bitcoin has crossed $8000 marking a new ath. Now the is around $7950, maybe for a while or two the fluctuations in price take place within limits and further the growth once again gets initiated. Probably by the year end we can experience the price to be above $10000.

Their are lot of possible for bitcoin to reach the value of 8000$.It will happen in a week itself.At this year end,the price of bitcoin will to 9000$ target.If the price reduction of bitcoin is 6000$ ,use it to buy a huge amount of bitcoin.Because after this year,the price will not goes to 6k $.

Bitcoin has reached $8000 already in some exchanges, so that is no longer a possibility but a reality. Sure, we may see some corrections or even break another resistance for a bull run, but no one knows yet as we will just have to keep monitoring the charts. Right now the value is in between $7700 to $8000. However, I do not see any correction that probably may get to $6000 at this stage, but if it comes, then it is a smart move to quickly buy more but the chances are slim and any correction now should be between $6700 - $7000.

It has reached approximately near $8k as there is only a nominal difference of $100-$150 so it's not just in dreams but has happened in reality and it will go more in this year although it decrease in past few days because of BCH market cap increased but still it recover like a miracle and is still increasing so be ready to witness the peak price soon.

Nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin. I have no doubt that bitcoin can reach 8000$. And see? After the drop in this month 7000$ back to 6000$ then from 6000$ all the way to back 7000$ then today it reaches 8000$. Even though there are other currencies that pump like the bch, I still believe in bitcoin. For me still nothing/ no one defeat bitcoin. Something like "Original is still original". By the end of the year, like other I still believe and look forward that bitcoin will reach 10,000$. It is very possible for BTC to reach $10,000. It almost did after the segwit2x fork suspension was announced and I thought we are up for another mooning until it came back down. BTC still has a lot of room for growth and now that the cloud is clear, there can be room for more development in the scaling problem and then we can even see bitcoin to keep soaring the more.

Right. And now that we have the contentious fork which could have really caused some issues being over, we should expect more investors coming in. I am sure the value will correct a little bit below $7000 and then we will see some really good buying for new investors. Yeah your right sir, nothings is impossible, especially into the crypto currency. Lately I can't expect that bitcoin value reach the $1000 but I've got wrong because they can't only reach it instead they were past it.
So my trust got them, because my investment in this coin will earn 10x of my capital, so I continue save and invest not only because bitcoin value have close to the possibility to hit $8000 instead I just want to see the limit price of bitcoin in the future.

It is even more glaring than ever and right now we should be looking at a more increase in value before the end of this year than $8000.

After current correction we can say its going to hit this figure before December as now its already going to touch as many countries going to create good opportunities for investors with securities and few big countries adopting this many investors now believing this is good for long and short term investment now we can say its going to hit new land marks

8000 USD ? That's it? Well if your asking you should ask more !!
It's already 7.7k now and how far is 8k from that. I had even seen threads which used to ask will Bitcoin reach 2k USD ? Today I laugh as what is 2k USD compared to 7k .

Next year I might be laughing on 7k USD as well because Bitcoin might be around 30-40 k USD by that time probably. But there is always a chance that all this can just end one day and no-one would be able to do anything about it .

The hardfork was already cancelled which was expected to be the main factor that will make the market value of Bitcoin, more expensive. The value of bitcoin is now tied to 7800$ although it already reached a market price of 8000$ recently.So I am expecting that before this year end it will be priced more than 8000USD .

Yes that's bitcoin, bitcoin always gives us a surprise. Many previously did not predict bitcoin could reach this level. Because if imagined then bitcoin prices that are currently above 7K $ look like a miracle because many people who do not predict bitcoin can reach the steps as it is today. Moreover, 8000 $ is a very close price and this can be achieved in the near future, I'm sure with the increasing number of bitcoin users and also the increasing popularity of bitcoin so this can make bitcoin prices increase easily. I've been using bitcoin for a long time and I can not wait to see the new wonders that the bitcoin creates in the future.

That's a true observation. Certain groups kept being bearish after the short plunge bitcoin prices took but in reality, the recovery was swift. Levels close to $8000 were reached quickly and markets are once again closing in to such high prices.

Ya it is true that some market wants the price to go down so that they can buy but when the market go for correction and price goes down they are expecting more down and then market recovers it. This type of traders never earns they will always make loss. Market is testing $8000 level and now it is becoming resistance point and once it is crossed we can see price moving above $8500+

it has been increasing so fast lately, i dont know the real reasons behind this last pump, but we all know that bitfinex is trying to pump the price as much as they can in order to make it reach more than 8500 before december.
they are just putting all their tethers in bitcoin, and this is probably one of the main reasons of why almost all the altcoins that are listed are now in red numbers, because they are losing value in order to pump bitcoin.
This might be good for some of us, but this is not good for all those people who have all their savings into one altcoin.
 

As of now the price of bitcoin already reach 8k dollars and im very happy and I hope it will increase more.
More investor so the price will increase and for sure it will increase the price so we can make more profit.

I think bitcoin will possibly reach 8,000 US dollars given that the demand of bitcoin is at surge currently because of the rise of bitcoin to 7,000 US dollar again the demand for bitcoin by the end year will surely increase that can set the stage for the rise of bitcoin in the market maybe on December 31, 2018 we can achieved 8,000 or maybe 9,000 US dollar that would be great for us who are awaiting for the price increase. We'll just have to wait and see.

If only i have read this OP on time, my answer will be yes even if segwit2x was not cancelled. Bitcoin has always able to withstand or recover from ups and downs just like what happened few days after this OP. Bitcoin cash's value was pumped while bitcoin's value goes down.

Now, it reaches to a staggering 8K USD which proves it has a potential to even reach 10K USD before this year ends.

It is been 11th day since you created this thread and we are already on $8000 in just few days.
Now the bitcoin is heading towards $10k, it is not impossible that we will be trading bitcoin at highest rates.
I am expecting another hard fork so that once again bitcoin will fall down to $4k and than $10-$12k gradually

So...Now that Bitcoin is firmly sticking around the $8000 mark, how long do you guys think it will take to hit $10,000.00?

looking at the current bitcoin price, I guess the answer is obvious. in fact, bitcoin prices still have a great opportunity to get even higher prices. currently the bitcoin price is heading for $ 9000, and I think it will soon be accomplished.

Bitcoin broke the $8000 benchmark this month and bitcoin is now heading to $9000

currently bitcoin price has reached $ 8100- $ 8200 and the positive trend is likely to continue in bitcoin and a fantastic advancement of bitcoin to positively impact the economic progress of its users.
my prediction in mid-2018 bitcoin prices will be able to reach $ 10,000 and quite reasonable to if see from growing bitcoin user growth.

I think you're  not yet updating the price of bitcoin now,  The value of bitcoin is already beyond of the speculation of this topic for this year, it's worth $ 10,000 and the positive trend is likely to continue in bitcoin and I think it will hit $11,000 before the end of this year and we would need to believe that this speculation is going to happen. The segwit2x activation has been postponed because of lack of support and it will no long hold this year again.

Yeah it is true. Bitcoin price already reach $10,500.  It has a huge difference from $8,000. And as a bitcoin earner hopefully BTC price would not fall down. Because it became our loss in the future. And im positively looking forward that bitcoin will continue to grow until $15,000. I believe that this not impossible for bitcoin .
