How to know a newly created ICO in bitcointalk

You can download many apps to follow new icos on ios and android. Also you can chrck www.tokenmarket.com

There are many ICO related website such as tokenmarket, icobazaar, icocalendar, icoalert, coinschedule or my favourite: cryptocompare.com/ico
As aforementioned there are also a lot of apps to keep track, but I personally dont use them, the websites are always providing more structured information in my opinion.

You can also follow bloggers on twitter or youtubers that talk about icos and also provide analyses on them.

Just like you, I also usually monitor ICO at www.tokenmarket.com, there I can choose and analyze the ICO that is suitable for us to invest and not.

Do you recommend any?

How do they get listed on those websites? Can anyone list them or only the legitimate ICOs?

Thats a good question. I dont really know how the listing process on these websites is, but I guess everyone that pays them with some of their tokens or some BTC/ ETH will get listed. Its just business. As I just proposed in another Thread: there should be a trustworthy, independent website that whitelists/ blacklists all upcoming ICOs to seperate the legit ones from the scams. A site that is not profitting, just community maintained and for the good of the whole cryptospace. Hopefully there will be something like this in the near future.

It's hard though to know if an ico is scam or not. Some of them are obviously scams, no need for someone to tell you that. Some are in the gray area, and you can find out the truth only when is too late to take action. Look at dashcoin. Everyone was yelling about that one that is a big scam. Do I decided not get into that one. And they even had their crowdsale hacked. However dashcoin prove them wrong and eventually investors made quite a lot of money from that one. So you can have a community tell you which is legit or not, but they can be wrong, and you can lose opportunities because of it. So everyone should their own due diligence.
However we should have a website will ALL the icos, like we have coinmarketcap for all the coins. And have them listed for free. Then anyone could do his research.

It’s pretty great because it has a rating system per ICO plus a link to the ICO webpage, it’s white paper and also social media links with comments from the public about the ICO. This morning already discovered an ICO on there that I value from a concept perspective. There are dates listed per ICO, stating when the timeframe is live. Take a look, I found it helpful.

Didnt know this one before, I will check it out. Hopefully they are not getting payed to list the ICO's as this is always shady in my opinion. But most of the ICO tracking websites are doing it. But a rating system is a step towards the right direction for sure.

You are definitely right about that! Everybody, always should do their own due diligence, but as there are many newbies around, that cant separate the scams with their due diligence, or just because their lack of knowledge, I still think that a general website at least for plain scams should be created, just to blacklist them. As you said there are some projects that are obviously scams, but truth is even these projects manage to lure newbies into their trap, and get rich off the back of other people. This is just not right and should not happen, hopefully there will be ways to prevent things like this from happening.

You can see a newly created ICO in this forum if the thread is just recently posted and the number of post in that thread is just minimal, beware of sum newly ICO because they can be scam if you are not alert.

For me, the big thing is to get to know the people behind the coin and more so the people behind the product or company - is it vaporware or an established company/game/product?  Join in the chats and the community and check the responses you receive, do they respond quickly? do they seem passionate about their product? Are  they easy to reach? What's the community like?  get a gut feeling about the project and if you have any doubts at all then don't invest.

To search ICO I use two of my favorite sites. Happicoin in russian language, there is a rating of the upcoming ICO, reviews. And site - icodrops.

if there create it now and see what date if what date they made the ico for bounty.

The date was start the ICO or go to their sites there a such option to see if its new but some of ico are scam so be mindset and just see their whitepaper or list of the member if its good and trusted site many of ico now are untrusted so be wise and think of you go invest in such kind of ico you want know them really if you dont want to get scam and dont have profit goodluck!
