Now that we have this nonsense of Segwit2x out of the way, the alts are finally getting some long overdue attention. Some of the top alts are already experiencing a very nice pump as money is being shifted away from bitcoin.

So risky to follow this pump!! Never trust a pump based on market psychology unless you aim to sell your coins. I keep a lot of ethreum in my wallet which is the most profitable altcoin ever for long terms as follow the bitcoin growth but i cant call a pump for ethereum till reaches his real value (ether is the undervalued cryptocoin in my opinion) which is may be above 500$. A lot of crypto scams so i will keep beting on ethereum as the real gate to the furure.

Yes it was quite good news to wake up to today. I mean the fork was only a week away now anyways so we werent far from alts gaining some exposure but still a nice little addition to the day, Ill take it. :)

That's how live as holders. Some people say Hodl and buy more. But wait, this was not yet happen. If bitcoin more crash like 10% more in one night? how can they still buy alt since they lose value if holding btc. This episode call "Btc down alt more down".

Yes, a nice news for those who believed that alts are not yet dead and bought some more alts last week when the price is low. It would be wise just to wait IMO, sell what you wanted to sell when we were in "depression" and focus on good stuff and remmebr to take profit from time to time. If history tecahes us anything is that bitcoin is still daddy of all them alts so be sure no to go to fiat :)

Ethereum is also one of my largest long term holdings and have most of it set aside in cold storage. FUDers will FUD but this project has a massive amount of development going on behind the scenes and an incredible support network.

We will have to wait a little bit more but it looks like ETH will rise a lot and altcoins will follow soon. We are in a turbulent times for crypto.

But also became a bit more volatile as its price is still dipping between 7100 and 7500 USD. And bitcoin cash also had a dump today which is a good sign as people are now shifting to alts. When the price of the bitcoin became a little stable, I expect a greater pump on the price of these alts.

Honestly, I did not expect this at all. I never thought that the segwit2x fork would get cancelled like this. Appreciate the people who made this decision since they knew that many people would be affected in a negative way by this and made the right call. I am already seeing the altcoin market recover and this is great news since I invested in many altcoins like litecoin, dashcoin, ripple etc and I am loving this.

Altcoins have been bleeding for long enough.  It's time for them to start healing and recover.  Now that the Bitcoin Segwit2x fork has been cancelled, it's time for the altcoins to step up in the spotlight and shine.  I hope altcoins have a smooth ride into next year.  No more bitcoin forks speed bumps.  

In fact the alts have increased but it will not be all this nonsense that a lot of people are talking about. I am currently betting on just two currencies only in the long run because I know the market will not go crazy right now.

It's a good thing they cancelled this fork. With all the forks and free money from the gained new coin, everyone was holding BTC and all the alt coins were getting hit by it. Right after the news of the cancelation BTC dropped immediately from 7800$ to 7300$, and will probably drop a bit more during the coming days. The time to buy alt coins at its lowest price was today, from now on they will steadily climb like they used to do before the forking bussiness. Let's see how it goes the coming week and happy trading.

Haha altcoins are next on the list! People are realizing forks have no long term value, and are strictly used for speculation. Soon people will realize alts are also strictly, 99% of them, speculative and base their value off of ETH which is the biggest scam out there. This scam birthed a bunch of other scams that are only being used to trade for profits right now and will never be used for anything else.

This is a happy day. But we should also be monitoring the price of bitcoin now. I do have some funds there and I dont want losing a lot of money just because of the segwit breakdown. Of course, many will be going back to altcoins and it could be a great dump.

In this things happen that  the implementing of Segwit2x  hardfork is postponed and we dont know what is the reason  mostly all altcoins is benefited in this good news.mostly of the project will be happy of not implemeting the hardfork this coming nov.16  mostly the altcoins is rising the value,and all the bounty hunter  and traders will so glad that the hardfork is postponed and we continue earn our profits.

Yes, Investing in Bitcoins and altocins can be  risky as the prices are determined in open market and are affected by any news or rumors. But I think now it's a good time to invest with a very low risk. Altcoins are becoming more attractive for investors after Bitcoin fork was cancelled.

Yes, atlast the Segwit2x bullshit is over and all the people who sold their alts and entered btc for free btc split airdrop are now buying back the tokens and that's leading to the price pump of the alts.

Welcome back alt coins, they're now back in business. I'm planning to buy some ETH since I have some funds on hold to bitcoin but it made me skeptic at that moment and now ETH is skyrocketing again. I missed that chance mate, I felt sorry for not believing my feeling. Anyway, it's now good for the alt army they are seemingly going to rise again but still the rally is real and bitcoin will still be the best choice.

Imho such psychological pumping is the only way how most of the altcoins is geting its price. Ethereum is one of the few exaptions of this rule. Most of the altcoin pumps is extremely risky but now it is a pretty good moment to get some fast lucky money while people are coming back to their alts.

There will be many happy altcoin investors now that the alts are starting to fly. This is the first thing that I noticed when I woke up this morning and checked by Blockfolio. My Strat and Waves especially are now spreading their wings and started to soar. I hope this will continue until the end of the bountiful year 2017. Bitcoin in a stable condition with lesser large fluctuations will help the alts fly.

It is not yet done maybe they've just move it on a different date but if they've continue they're it will be  another airdrop that would only pump bitcoin's price and quickly dump the new token like the rest of the forks that occurred. This rise of altcoins is only momentarily as people are already buying cheap bitcoin the price will be back to $7500 in no time.

Yeah every time bitcoin pumps altcoins are dying a little bit and if you look at the price of altcoins now almost 100% loss when you invest on it, so be careful on choosing altcoins.

haha This is A great news Indeed for the cancellation of Fork but We Don't actually no what Will Really  Happen, I will always trust Bitcoin rather Than Those New Altcoins, Who Really makes My time Be always for waiting, while bitcoin makes me a Real Champ. Cancellation of fork really are a good news for altcoins investors. Altcoins are bleedong in the past weeks because of that so called segwit2x.  Gladly it was cancelled, lets just pray that it won't get back soon. Altcoins are now comming out from the grave,  i just hope that the altcoins i own pump now.

It is the best time to enter in altcoins buying as all altcoins are at their bottom and can recover any time and give decent returns in very short span of time. Some good altcoins are waves, stratis, ethereum and monero which can be hold for long as they have long future behind them.

Honestly i think these altcoins is more valuable than these hardfork coin like bitcoin cash or (bitcoin2x). It is a free coin that only have a value if we use it or really expected it. But more people will only use bitcoin and don't care about these hardfork/segwit coin.

Altcoins have value because of the innovators have an idea to solve any kind of issue in economics business.

I think altcoins is the greater coin than we think, bitcoin has its high value but it is so unstable, altcloins today has risen quickly because the news there is no segwit2x gonna happen, so this is the prosperous time for altcoins to develope.

I think the biggest lose in value was Monetha from recent ICO's from $0.35 to $0.05. BlackMoonCrypto with "buy back reserve" has reached its limit 28.000+ ETH and now drop down from 0.8$ to 0.4$ I am curious what will happen now with BMC price, when re-buy support stop working.

I noticed that almost all altcoin companies just kept silence and didnt announce any news on purpose because market does not react on any positive news for alts.

Now they will ALL one by one roll out everything they were silently preparing for us one by one!

As far as I analyse about alt coins it all depends on bitcoin stability. When when bitcoin rises I noticed most of the alt coins start dropping and when bitcoin dropping alt coins also dropping but when bitcoin stable alt coins start rising. At present most of the alt coins are at their lowest price So it is the best time to buy alt coins. So my opinion is we can buy more alt coin in the present market to get good profit in future.

Well, this should be a good news to those altcoin holders who have been patient in waiting this moment to come. But as of now, bitcoin isn't yet done with its pumping. In fact, bitcoin has been steady at $7,200.00 in the past few days. As long as the bitcoin price is still there, I can't see the altcoins to pump up yet. Altcoins will probably pump up after the incoming forking of bitcoin, but the pump will not be that high because most investors might enjoy the high price of bitcoin at the moment, especially that it's Christmas season, and bitcoin will be a popular way to send a gift to someone.

I had a look on the coinmarketcap and it has begun. Some of them already rose for 20%, some didn't yet. Bitcoin is crumbeling. :) Finally, some good news for me. :)

My portfolio at least recovered to 1 month ago position. At some moments I even have -25% of all. HODL and we will get what we want.

I just hope alts won't have a short lived pump and then meet sell walls on the next day as it was the case after BTG fork. I am more optimistic this time, plus total market cap of the crypto sector as a whole is at all-time high.

I find btc really hard to get. So I like sticking with altcoins to earn money.

Once you are in you need to stay in.  Keep some of your coins in alts and some in BTC.  Set up a portfolio so you can track everything.  Don't get out of crypto because your coins are going down in value.  Get out because it's the best decision for you at that moment.  Volatility is an opportunity to make money.  I used to trade a lot of FTC on BTC-e when they listed it, would sell some and buy it back when it dipped over and over and over again.  It took a lot of time but was worth it.  I never went all in and left with more FTC than I started with.  

 Keep calm and you'll be okay.  This will happen again at some point, do not forget this.  Save a little BTC so the next time this happens you can buy low. :)

You could think that the cancellation of S2x would cause a falling down and that a tremendous uptrend for altcoins would start. But as we see Bitcoin lost just a little and will soon start rising again. It's also obvious that some altcoins profit a little and some are just getting nowhere. Ethereum is one of the altcoins that will grow significant in the near future.

After Coming segwit2x news all altcoin market going to down by slowly. but bitcoin price increase so much after coming this news. But after coming  segwit2x cancellation  news all altcoin price increase so much. From that all altcoin investors are profitable who buy low price.

But at the moment it's very critical time for crypto market because what happen with crypto market no body knows. Altcoins are increase but how much, Is it bitcoin price increase more or dump or stable? So be careful .

This has not been done maybe they still just move it on a different date but if they continue to do it, it will be a trickle of water that will only pump the bitcoin price and quickly discard a new token like the rest of the fork that occurs. With this altcoin increase only momentarily because people have already bought bitcoins at cheap prices going back to $ 8000 in no time.  8)

Increasing the price altogether is a welcome news, because recently something strange was happening with the altaie. They either stood still or constantly fell in price. Now almost all the altkoins began to grow, and bitcoin began to drop. The usual volatility of the crypto currency.

I don't like over hype any altocoin today becouse most of them has HUGE gain even with those bleedings,
DGB was 18 before pump now is 140 sat and for real noone knows why.
Only one alt which is worth some attenction is ETH becouse it had many ICOs.

Nah you are right about that point. I guest we will see big rise in altcoin after there was real useful altcoin in real life. But it need bitcoin as mother of crypto to be real currencies and accepted everywhere first. 

I thought that after the fork passed, very quickly they would go up, but something I was mistaken, some of them stand still, the BTC fell a little and pulled the altcoins , in 2018 the forecasts are good, we'll wait.   

Unfortunately I had the most with BTC and was not holding many alts. ETC showed some good returns as well along with BCH. what's your opinion on when the BCH rally will end?

That's a real win of those people who preferred alts to bitcoin. Imagine that kind of profit that some huge amount of coins holders got! I didn't safe so much money to invest now, but I'm going to learn more about alts and I will chose something to invest too.

Bitcoin keeps creating drama nonstop and drawing all the attention from the market. None of the alts ive seen have recovered to their previous all time highs (most of them reached during August)

Positive growth on altcoins has been long overdue. A big congratulations to all altcoin hodlers.

No. Even bitcoin is now declining for the simple fact that traders are just cashing out. Although I believed that there is a correlation between the price of bitcoin and alts. its not almost the case. Sometimes you will see that both of them are also on a decline. Nothing special though, I observed that every weekends there's always a declined and I assumed that traders is just taking home the profits.


This what keeps me from investing on alts. Once they hit their all time highs, they can't replicate it anymore. Look at ETH around May-June it was hype to replace bitcoin but it didn't happened. Now it can't even get close to its all time high of $400++.

It really happen that when the bitcoin price fall down, some altcoin price rises.
Like what happen when the miners support bitcoin cash it rises until almost $1,000.
And the price of bitcoin decrease also almost $1,300.
It is an indication that altcoin has its own potential to boom in the market in a particular time.
And if there are only investor who are willing to support altcoin surely it will continue to rise.

Yes agree. I also had ethereum in my holding and I am ready to sell once it reaches its true value and I hope that it is nearer than expected. I know many invest.rs and traders are also expecting the same as mine. They are also holders as they are HODLERs?

As I checked the price of alcoins vs. BTC, they're going down. BTC's price is going up whenever it has big event. And you know, BTC is still in progress of improvement: Segwit, LN, MAST, Tumblebit, Rootstock, Schnorr sigs....So it's hard for most of altcoins.

I can say that the rising of alternative coins are happening nowadays. But I can say that these will take much time still to cope with bitcoin's success. Bitcoin has done and still doing significant work to rise it's value again and again. For now, a lot of alternative coins are doing pretty well too. Ethereum is doing a great job in terms of value increase and a lot more are being discovered by the developers about making different alt coins that can earn pretty nice in the next years to come.

I dont think  altcoin can rise soon. Few more week red for altcoin is possible. Sewgit2x may cancelled but the potential of bitcoin make more people start invest here.

Is litecoin a good pump now ?

I think that it depend a lot on individual alts. Only a few will rise.

I am really happy that segwit2x was cancelled. Though there were instabilities that happened on some coins, now the alts that I wish to increase are now going up and its nice. Bitcoin also recovered.

Bitcoin will fall a little more, altcoins will increase more in 2-3 months. Wait on altcoins or if you dont have altcoin, you should buy altcoins and just wait.

Alts for sure will rise after the year ends,because theres no bitcoin events will happened this end of the year.

I think it's time to rise the prices of Altcoins because cyrpto-currency has been set as the future of our economy and trade therefore not only Bitcoin and recently Bitcoin Cash sudden pump is the green light that even more Altcoin would be pumped too. In fact trader whales can manipulate it like what they did in Bitcoin way back in 2015 and in recent weeks in Bitcoin Cash.

I think there were some alts that will also rise as the bitcoin price rise because there are some altcoins that getting popular now that's why investor of altcoin also increases.

In fact I'm not completely sure if they canceled that or just postponed it, but it seems that the fears around that have faded and indeed it seems that some alts some are recovering remarkably.

Im planning to start buying altcoin because its cheqper than btc and I prefer to buy ethereum. I think among other altcoins its the best choice. Indeed. That was to prove that not only bitcoin can do such improvement into the price but also the alternative coins (altcoins) can also do. This was totally been observed that while the said segwit2x was nearly approaching the altcoins are already making its way to pump into such a great price which is suitable foe those altcoin holders that persevere to keep and hold their coins for a long time and the long wait is now over because altcoins are now pushing it through to make their prices pump.

Good alts will never be subdued say stay strong on them. Price does not lead the coin. The tech leads the price. If their tech is good enough eventually it will achieve it's value.

I have always believed in altcoins ability in the crypto market. There are so many interesting coins on the market and so many emerging every day. I prefer business backed coins over anything. A business backed coin that has caught my attention lately is Propthereum.io. After the fork cancellation we saw a few altcoins price value go up, but one that got me excited was ripple, but it was simply a spike. Ripple went up almost 20% than usual but came down to its normal again! Waiting for the day it goes to $1 or more in 2018.

The article above says that Bitcoin is on the rise, and so are Altcoins and apparently the total Altcoin market cap crossed $100 billion for the first time! So yes Altcoins are on the rise.

coins that you have mentioned for are some of the good coins that are have future and also we know that this or some of may pretty rise for positive reason but i may not expect too much with this because as far as i know the pump of altcoin the way it rise hard are rare so better to not expect too muh but i make believe on this coin.
