I'm not so optimistic... I think they will try to implement blockchain to have access to every financial transaction of every citizen somehow.

It might be booming but we are just on the tip of the iceberg, there to way big below to be conquered just we are just in billion stock market have a 2 trillion cap. If we ever top that possibility then it might start there. Hopefully we can have access to that potential, for if we ever get the opportunity then there might be a good fighting chance for us go against the big banks and governments.

Yes, bitcoin has already capture the world and its a global phenomena and 2017 is the break through year. Its slowly but surely gaining popularity by the day. Its now a threat to bankers that they need to do something like attack or bash bitcoin at any cost. And some nation's government is already putting a hammer ban on this because they know what bitcoin can bring into the table.

It all can be worse...
Governments can replace fiat money with blockchain after some time and you will have your "private key" in microchip in your body..
All your financial history will be fully transparent forever..
The only little freedom we have now is cash money and goverments are trying to reduce cash circulation by every mean.

It is a good signal mate, but we can not be that positive because we dont know what is going to happen next, but everytime that there is some kind of fud from any government or from any big bank or financial institution, the price is always recovering, and you all know that.
People are always adapting to bitcoin and this is good for all of us, just imagine how big it is going to be once that bitcoin gets accepted by everybody, it would be huge, and the price would be enourmous.

I'm not being pessimistic or what but we should still be optimistic with a salt of reality here. Government is still powerful over Bitcoin and Bitcoin is still a Global Currency, the forces of the Government is still powerful over Bitcoin, and Bitcoin community is not that powerful. We still have a lot of years to take and Globalization and Global Adoption with a fair regulation is the key to strengthen and solidify the power of Bitcoin.

Of course that it is good to know that the crypto community is getting everytime more bigger, but it doesnt mean that banks are going to be replaced by bitcoin soon because it is impossible.
Banks have been in there for more than centuries, and they can not be replaced by a digital coin that has been created eight years before, because it makes no sense.
Maybe it is going to happen in some years from now, but more than decades, maybe more.

Indeed this is freedom but i am afraid that it will not last long because as we all know government will not let this happen they will figure a way to have control in any Bitcoin transaction since Bitcoin doesn't give tax to the government. But we will all see in the future what will be the government moves in getting to crypto.

Yes, bitcoin is helping filipino people here in the philippines. We also feel that christmas is around the corner. Christmas lights and christmas songs are present. The timing is good enough for bitcoin because thanksgiving and christmas are nearing.

What if the government legalized the use of bitcoin then they will put a high tax for using bitcoin? What will we do? For me, it's a good thing that bitcoin is widely known and use now, but Im just hoping that the government will not interfere with the progress of btc.

Still bitcoin is unknown for most of the people but i think it is started to spread in world wide because of the rapid increase in the bitcoin price.But the bitcoin have long run ahead to become the world currency but i can feel the difference between the year when bitcoin launched and today lot of difference in world market due to bitcoin.

Central banks, financial companies, wall street, crooked governments, bankers, all of them have started to move their pieces one by one to stop bitcoin from taking over their fiat ponzi. Big CEOs are now more active making headlines on the news and spreading FUD because their clients have started to ask too many questions "what is Bitcoin?" "how can i invest in cryptos?" "can i take my money from X bank and invest in Bicoin" but they won't let their clients go. If they can't profit from it, then they will try to destroy it. Goldman Sachs ,JP Morgan ,Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and pretty much every corrupt company will start an all-out war against Bitcoin sooner or later. In Europe, the elite are also moving their pawns, Société Générale CEO in France, Credit Suisse CEO in Switzerland, same story in asia. This is just the tip of the iceberg, we have yet to see the true power of the elite against cryptocurrencies.

Fortunately, there are many companies, CEOs, and governments that are honest and respectable enough to accept the fact that Bitcoin is the future.

The government knows that they can only control the people by limiting their access to money. Because once people have 100% access money the have the power. That's is the reason behind the fight against bitcoin. They have seen that if bitcoin keep going up and as people keep investing their money and they will always keep getting rich and liberation from their bondage. Say yes to bitcoin.

I have not got it, but I can not be negative and it should be positive because I do not know what will happen next, but any government or any big bank or financial institution, the price is always setabil, and you all know that.
I always adapt to bitcoin and this is great for all of us, imagine how big it will be after the bitcoin is received by everyone, it will be huge, and the price will be huge and very influential for the economy of everyone in the world. and surely I will feel it over time.

The fees are going to slow down adoption and the bitcoin dev will need to find a true solution to the price increase and fees being ridiculous amounts of fiat.

Definitely,that's why the CEOs of financial firms have started screaming over bitcoin as they did not expect such a huge progress from bitcoin in just eight years.So,e of them term it as a bubble wile some others term it as a fraud.Some government leaders like Putin even say it as a pyramid scheme.Whatever they say,people have started to realize the true potential of bitcoin and the financial freedom its give them.

Wow, that's some hate for the government, I wonder what they did to you. But honestly, BTC has still a long way to go before becoming the fiat killer, but it's progressing very well. Nowadays a lot of websites selling digital goods are accepting BTC, VPN providers and domain services being an example. It won't take long for some other big companies to adopt bitcoin as payment method.

In USA perhaps, and in Japan too, but right now Bitcoin's price is still massively dependent from Japan and China, and that is not good.

I think not everyone realize that around 25% of trades are done in yuan (renmingbi, chinese currency), that's why Bitcoin has still a long way to go to be adopted world wide. People like US citizen should realize and open their mind, and see what is going on outside US.
For instance, Bitcoin is still quite irrelevant in Europe. Right now, this is USA + Asia.

I also hope Bitcoin quickly finds a way to accelerate transactions, the fork was necessary and I still do not get why it was canceled and why so many people were against it.

We can't really say that bitcoiners could stay away from the government,Jack Ma came just a week ago i guess and introduce to filipinos the use of digital currency,lots of businessman have heard about it and maybe become interested on it especially those coin holders that already invested on it.President also opening his mind through digital currency,he may not say it is bitcoin but hes convincing everyone to go with the trends and enter the crypto world.
Once filipino people get out from their comfort zone using fiat currency we dont know governments plans for digital currency users and investors and traders in the future.

there is a "enthusiasm" for sure about bitcoin all around the word but unfortunately this "enthusiasm" is not mainly about bitcoin as a currency. instead the most of it is about bitcoin as an investment where you can buy and sell to get more fiat out of it. and that will put and end to nothing.

if people start realizing bitcoin is only strong if it is a currency, then things will change. the currency part is what makes bitcoin useful and valuable.

This is the truth that bitcoin is going toward that way where all other types of the banking system are looking failed , And also transaction of the money in whole about the world . Every people in the countries are looking to have lots of bitcoin Because they know that how they can have money profit if they will hold bitcoin and also the supply of the bitcoin is getting down day by day ( limit of 21 millions btc ) .
But still in my opinion in the future bitcoin will no more remain free to use unlimited without any rule Because in the incoming times cash currency may be better down and people will use only online transaction , so with every big transaction of the bitcoin for the deal of the fiat will result into a reason that why they made such a big transaction , in that way people will have limit of having bitcoin in future to make Transaction .

Yes now it depends on us to either make bitcoin popular or ignore it, people are happy to get such an easy method of becoming rich in short time. This is not less than a miracle for us. Now its our duty to educate people properly and expand the web of investors. It is a promising currency and will replace all other regular currencies and paper money in future.

Definitely bitcoin is in there, going up and in the right the direction if it can prevent the government in imposing to many rules and restriction regarding regulations that limit that usage of bitcoin in our community then that would be totally for unfair to us. Regardless no intervention of not we can see the positivity in investing in bitcoin and for sure it will rise more and more in the coming years. Indeed there are global enthusiasm about bitcoin, but the war hasn't begun yet, government still observe and finding a hole to regulate bitcoin, and no matter how good we resist we are, one day we will force to accept the government decision, sooner or later there will be changes make by the government, so all of need to prepare and enjoy while we can

World is run by large corporations and a few powerful people. Wars are fought over their interests. People are dying so that ultra rich can earn more money. Thus, revolt is not only understandable, it is desirable. Every human being who has moral values, has also the duty to stand up against system such as the one we live in. Government provides you with illusion that it is you who decides about anything in this world. But the government does not work for you, it works for the highest bidder.
