What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD.

segwit 2x cancelled but BTC is going down under 7000 USD.

Almost people thought if segwit 2x cancelled, Price go up to 8000 USD.
But now Price is down.

How do you think about this situation?


I have more than 40 BTC now, And I am losing my money now.
I bought BTC at 7500 USD.....

i think because it's cancelled.
people buy many bitcoin to get advantage for segwit2x, and just because it's cancelled, people just simply sell it back.

Nothing happen imo, just normal fluctuation in bitcoin world.
Bitcoin ATH is $7831, after reach the peak, bitcoin got corrected because people cash out their investment just in case bitcoin price will drop significantly, or just want to make profits. But, look at current price, recover to $7200.

The price was extremely volatile since the announcement for the segwit 2x cancelation. Yesterday the price could be 7500$ and 15 minutes later failed to $7000$ and then 15 minutes later back to $7500. After some hours the price seems to stabilize about $7200.
Buying after the announcement was a very hight risk, I would prefer to wait some days at least to see how the market behave.

It's interesting, why you thought cancelling would lead to price increasing?

the reason behind that dump is because of the fork suspended.
many people pushing the price to the top in order to maximize the profit before the fork.

Everyone has the same idea that the cancelling of Segwit2x will lead bitcoin to the moon as those people that are decided not to support the two chains and will only stay on the chain does have the majority support. So investors, traders and miners will be divided into two different bitcoin when the fork continues. But as it was done now that there will be no more split, everyone will stay to the leader of all crypto's and that is bitcoin core, the legacy bitcoin or whatever others are calling it - the only one bitcoin.

Because of segwit2x only the price is increasing, but now news is there like it cancelled don't know whether the price will keep on the increase or it comes down. I think people are already investing in altcoins, so the prices of all altcoins are increasing today. Don't know it will cross $8k or not.

Heres the logic behind the segwit. Why would you BUY Bitcoin during Segwit? Because you want to have that shitty coin "BITCOIN GOLD". Just incase the Bitcoin forking is NOT Cancelled. Bitcoin might go up to 8k to 9k before or during the Segwit activation. Once the investors get their Bitcoin Gold. Expect a huge sell in the market.

Now that the Segwit is cancel, its up to you if you want to keep your BTC or sell it. I made it into half. The first half is to trade Forex using BTC, the 2nd half is already SOLD to USDT.

The main reason behind this is that segwit2x is cancelled. People were investing in bitcoin because they are looking for some profit in the form of new currency just like BCC. And after the news of cancellation price starts falling down.

Do not worried about price btc, if btc down we keep it well and maybe we can buy little bit btc for longterms  ;)

this is all due to segwit2x failure. never cutloss btc that you invest, it is ascertained the value of btc will continue to rise, it's just we wait time. a great trader must be good at controlling his emotions

I think you were wrong in your assumption that the price would increase if segwit2x was cancelled, much money was in bitcoin in anticipation of a fork. I would still hold as I do not think bitcoin will suffer for long.

There was a huge shift of money from altcoins into Bitcoin first for Bitcoin gold and then for B2X. People were accumulating bitcoin recently which made it overpriced and brought a huge drop in altcoin market. Since there won't be any fork now, money is flowing back to altcoins as can be seen now. Most of the large cap coins are pumping hard. But Bitcoin too has support. Therefore, it will remain between $6800 to $7300. Some positive news are aligned for Bitcoin. Price would be touching $9k before the year ends.

Just keep holding them, price can go way over $10k within next few months, if you will start to panic like this than you will never make any big profit from bitcoin or whole crypto trading.

Have some patience, some correction after a huge bull run like that is normal and sudden updates from segwit2x developer to cancel the upcoming fork have disappointed many investors who have only bought bitcoin to get some free coins which they can dump on listing are now selling.

I think that is just normal fluctuations ò market, prices will rise again soon. However, 40BTC is not small, so you should make the decision carefully. But I believe that the 2x segwit will be canceled and the btc price will continue to increase in the near future.

I think when people come to know about segwit 2x they buy bitcoins in a bulk through which the demand exceeds the supply and thus due to less supply the price of bitcoin goes high. But now as segwit 2x got cancelled now people are selling bitcoins before they got loss.

My suggestion is just to hold your coins and wait for the stability of coons in market and when market get stable then again bitcoin price will rise.

If you sell at $7000 you will take heavy loss. At the moment you have a paper loss not a realised loss. You have to decide if bitcoin will increase in future so you can make profit. Bitcoin is at $7200 on bitfinex at the moment.

Liquidity is an attribute of Bitcoin do not panic and watch out the price will pump up over the night. I think Bitcoin is reacting to one news sentiment.

Nothing unsual happened. Bitcoin volatility and fluctuation is normal feature, price is not the same all the time and in the situation like this when the upcoming fork was cancelled it's expected for the market and price to react. But the price keeps above 7000$ and in the next few days when the situation gets more clear we can expect further rise. This is the good timing to earn something on the price volatility.

Don't panic. Just keep holding. Lot of bitcoin piled up bitcoin, with the hope of enjoying BTC2x coins. But since segwit2x got suspended, those users are now  dumping their extra bitcoin for profit. So price is going down now, which will attract new investors causing the price to go back up to where is was going.

Bitcoin price maybe slowing down for now since its like going back to normal. Bitcoin price soars fast for the passed few days because of SegWit2x as Altcoin holders sold their coins or tokens for BTC. You need a lot of patience if you want to reach your goal of selling at $8,000 USD.

I think the BTC reduction is due to segwit2x, so do not worry too much, just keep patience hold the bitcoin and wait. Certainly BTC prices will rise again, predicted to be $ 9000 by the end of this year  ;)

do not expect the price is always on the high because bitcoin being a currency have an movement up and the the value is part of the currency because its depends i the demands of bitcoin in the marketcap. even the segwit2x cancelled nothing can predict bitcoin when goes down or up.

I think you should hold it a little longer.  It is because duedue to thw high demand in cryptocurrencies,  all prices has high probability of going up.  Every single day a large number of users and investors are added up. So tge possibility of prices going down is low. Yes it may go down,  but not really low. Ad if it goes up,  it's really high that sometimes we cannot imagine.

BTC is just doing it's usual correction after a large upward swing in price. It has to settle down, and then it continues back up because there is a really scarce amount. I heard there is something like 25% of bitcoins that have been lost which make it even more scarce and even more valuable. There are a lot of new people buying in now too so just stay patient and buy more if you can.

if i were you, i will still hold the bitcoin because i am sure that the price will be increase soon. it seems bitcoin price don't want to go up or down too far so i think its the best thing that we can do is hold for a while and if you still have money, you can buy more bitcoin and waiting the price is increase again. but yes, you bought bitcoin at the high price and i don't think that you want to get lose your money if you sell it right now so its better to hold. 40 btc is a big amount for me and i don't know when i can have 40 btc like you so you should hold tight your bitcoin until you see the price is up to $8000.

Yes, right. For the newbie will be hard if faced with a price reduction that sometimes happens. According to my experience, I've known Bitcoin for over 5 years. And from that I know for sure that the price of Bitcoin will always go up. In the future, the price of Bitcoin will be very large and we can profit a lot. We only have to wait a few years to earn 10 times profit. And it's not long. You can see the price of Bitcoin 3 years ago. Then compare it with the price Bitcoin today. Most of the people has hold bitcoin to get benefit from segwit2X but after the cancellation of it they are throwing it back to the market. I have personally hold my earnings to get benefit from both the segwit2X and as well as the price increase of bitcoin. But I still have no plan to sell my holdings even if I didn't get any benifet from the supposed segwit2X.
My advice to you is to hold your bitcoin. It will soon recover it's price and will jump to the figure  $8k. Don't be panic as this price falls is just for a little while.

Now to answer your question. Bitcoin is in a slight correction and is expected to bottom around 6100 before it rebounds. This is not a problem and, in fact, these corrections show a healthy market and are actually good news!

In short, NO DO NOT SELL! HODL though dips. The best thing you can do now is to forget that you even own the Bitcoin for a few years (or at least months). Do not worry, Bitcoin will be breaking new highs again in no time. After all, it is expected to break $11K by the end of the year.  ;)

It's just a normal occurence, bitcoins will eventually go down since it has really gone up by a lot. But I won't panic right now if I were you, since this is normal it is just correcting. It will still go up in the near future and will likely break another all time high. I estimate it to reach $10,000 before the end of the year, but right now it is the time for alts. Since alts all went down by a lot, there are so much cheap alts that people can buy.

Yeah I'm rubbing it in, but I too bought a couple at 7500 (but on the rise after the large fall)...  Not 40 but 5, but it still blows.
The worst is that I was ready for this dip, and I handled it completely wrong.

It looks like it has stabilized at 7200, meanwhile ALTs seem to stagnate after their predicted 10-20% rise, maybe that will convince everyone that it's time to go back to BTC. But many say it will go down further. I don't think it has a chance to pass 7000, but maybe I'm wrong. Hell I still have some money left to buy more at 7000.

It's normal that the dip isn't as big as if the fork had happened. Any large dip after the fork would have been compensated by the value of the B2X. So there is no reason to dip further. We all end up with the same money as if the fork had happened (except for those who think they would have successfully sold their BTCs within the first seconds after the fork. Yeah -some- of you would have had that chance).

That is normal fluctuate in bitcoin value even the fork was cancelled bitcoin continue its progress and it would be more investors to come and the value before this year end will reach more than $8000. For now i am continue to collect to have more bitcoin in the christmas to make that day more happy and fruitful.

You have a lots of money to buy bitcoin at a premium price so I'm expecting that you are going to hold for a long time, isn't it? If you are in for the long haul then there's nothing to worry about. As you noted, the segwit2x is already cancelled, they why so are seeing minor price correction. Maybe traders are cashing it out because they want to trade altcoins more, or just simply taking home profits. So my advise is just to hold on your bitcoins, you can't really do anything today, you can't sell because you will just loose your investments. So stay calm and just let your bitcoin sit in your wallet for long time in order to see nice profits when bitcoin like touch $10K in the future.

Main reason bitcoin price is fluctuating because of segwit2x being cancelled or postponed indefinitely , Bitcoin price was pumping because of the cancelled fork which is segwit2x. People were holding as much as btc they could for free coin that they will get in the said fork. Apparently, things change in an instant and when segwit2x was announce cancelled which lead bitcoin to correct it's real price and traders going back to alt coins. Just hold .

The very few who managed to sell at the top when the BTC dropped, and who sold their BTG first. But the rest?

Maybe this time most people were really going to sell before the B2X fork, that is, everyone was thinking that everyone else would "want their free coin", while in fact no one ever did.

All I see are normal corrections and nothing special even though it suffered a couple of hundred dollars decrease in price. Since the announcement of S2X being cancelled, people that bought their coins in anticipation of the event has sold their bought coins to pursue on other ventures and to partly make profit. If S2X continued, the price will also continue to push due to FOMO, and not going down like what's happening right now.

damn.. here I'm not mad because I "lost" money.. but because this is friday.. meaning my bank transfer that hasn't arrived yet, will arrive on monday when the sale will already be over.

The segwit cancellation seems to really made a reaction to the price.
What else could be blamed? That is the only thing that went mainstream days ago and people are already assuming they are winners if they keep bitcoin in their wallets.
But now, it is going back. No more demand, they let go of their coins.

There are some posts before segwit2x was cancelled mentioning about bitcoin price correction in which it will result to decrease of bitcoin value and they also said that altcoins will rise up after this correction will start. I don't know if this is effecting now or this is just an isolated case in which normal to bitcoin trading because i was thinking of this correcting issue is just a propaganda to make the bitcoin value decreases and power up the leading altcoins.

Today price of bitcoin going down at 7000 dollara and that's normal because as of now people sell their bitcoin but for sure many people buy agaij bitcoin because they want to earn more profit. Dont be afraid if the price going down or decreasibg the price because for sure it will recover again after few hours or maybe after few days. Dont be panic just you need patient so you can earn profit.

I agree with you . BTC is on the upward trend and now BTC prices are down but just a slight correction. I think in the next few days BTC will be very high and will soon reach $ 8000 this year and will have more new investors in the future.

People we buying in advance of the Segwit2x fork so they could get both coins (2 for the price of one). Now there’s a bit of a sell off. There probably would have been a sell off after the hard fork anyway.

The question is how much of a drop will there be. Is this it or is this going to turn into a correction. Bitcoin is probably due for a correction anyway so that could happen now with the price already going down.

Sigwith2x two has been postpone and we expect the fund to flow back to altcoins market as what happen  last August cannot repeat itself.

This happens because of everyone sold altcoin and converted it to bitcoins so that they can get benefit of SegWit2x free coins and then sell and buy more altcoin but due to cancellation of it now eveyrone is buying back their altcoins which they sold it and bitcoin is getting corrected. But i think withing 24 hrs we will see the recovery of bitcoin price very soon. As this is temporary correction and profit booking in bitcoin.

Bitcoin prices are merely speculation. Not much to do with real world events. It was approaching 8k the other day but it's kept being very volatile ever since 7k was reached in the first place. I think that it's just speculative profit taking. If you believe it could go back then you could buy the dip but there's no guarantee for a return.

Peeps join investment or pump the btc like FOMO about segwit2x if btc goes higher and higher before able to enjoy segwit2x.

When markets volatile, this could be best chance to grab easy money. Thats why you take some profits when its up or down. Cash out in fiat and reinvest when it dips.

This is normal in the bitcoin because it is due to decrease in the demand of bitcoin but soon it will recover from the price drop.But i expect that the price will increase more after the fork cancelled but it is happening upside down nearly $ 1000 decreased.But the experts says bitcoin will hit $ 10000 by the end of december so i expect that too it will happen so i suggest continue to hold your bitcoins.

Yes, Bitcoin will definitely increase and keeping Bitcoin at this point is very important as I can be sure Bitcoin prices will tend to increase more and less tends to fall. I think keeping BTC is always a good choice and should not be sold in a hurry

This is simple, on a week from 1 to 8, November te price of bitcoin went up from $6600 up $7800 too fast so bitcoin need to go down to consolidate the price at $7000. i think bitcoin is going to back $7000 tomorrow and most likely go up $8000 at the end of November.

People bought Bitcoin to profit from the fork, however as the last one was canceled, everyone who had btc or is selling or is exchanging for altcoins that makes the value of bitcoin fall a lot.

On the other hand the altcoins go up the values. Who is in charge of the market is bitcoin and if it falls the value helps the altcoins to rise thus generating a profit for the people who have altcoins.

I hope that Bitcoin stabilizes the value thus maintaining the market of the geito that is.

Couldn't have put it better myself, I feel that bitcoin will come out of this slump fairly soon however, I don't see the value really falling much below 6500 and then the market as a whole can begin to recover and go green (I hope)

You bought near the top and that is always a bad idea, I’m not trying to bash you or anything but you do not seem to know a lot about trading so even if you are going to lose money if I were you I will sell and then take my time to learn a lot more about bitcoin and trading once you do that you can come back and invest in bitcoin or altcoins because if you keep investing the way you are doing it you are going to lose all your money.

That guy didn't do wrong, he bought BTC when it just had dropped (from a short spike, but still) 500eur.

Meanwhile a lot of people started buying, at the top, an already overpriced BCH. And these won. Call it balls or luck, but that goes against your "buy low sell high".

I hope the BCH isn't gonna kill the BTC. It's already going down right now, maybe that will push the BTC back up. Surely it made some people very rich.

People are actually double minded right now.They are not sure that whether the price will rise or drop because a lot of fluctuations are being seen in it's price.So the people who were holding their bitcoin's are now selling them because they want to earn as much profit as they can earn  from this unexpected rise which is taking the price more down . Some of the investors are just shifting their BTC's into altcoin's which is also becoming a reason for the drop in the price of Bitcoin but having a positive impact on altcoin's because they are getting back to their original value.

Most people bought up and held Bitcoins tmso as to get some free tokens.
Since the fork is now cancelled, the are selling out the Bitcoins for alts.

Try to keep your tokens and correction back the value or if you are worried for the price you can exchange to any other altcoin,better to not sell token

This is nothing but a shorterm correction due to high price and cancellation of segwit2x due to which lot of users sold their altcoin in greedy to earn free coins from hardfork and earn some free bitcoins. But as it got cancelled they are going back to their old altcoins to buy back. In the mean time bitcoin cash is the only hardfork got success so it is giving competition to Bitcoin.

not altcoinS, I believe they're all back down now, except BCH. I find it so risky to swap to BCH right now, it's gonna implode at any time, and yet people are still doing it and well, it seems to work well enough for them.. for now.

Without the BCH case I believe the BTC would already be back, it would have been back above 6000eur

I Think it is normal for the price of bitcoin to go down, in my opinion i think you should just hold your bitcoin i'm sure that it will gonna rise again, i know bitcoin will crashed someday and it will have a price correction but i think this is not the one so you should not worry just keep holding your bitcoin if your a long term investor and wait for the price to increase so that you'll have a great profit from it.

According time the cancellation of segwit and the price of bitcoins dropping is nothing more than a coincidence.
I don't mean that the cancellation has absolutely no effect on the btc value dropping but it is negligible.
The price dropped from 7.5k$ to 7k$ in a small time span of 15-20 minutes and then it got stabilised.
Selling won't be a good option as you have just invested and cashing out in a loss would not be advisable.
Don't worry bitcoin value will rise again.

Yes it is one of the reasons why Bitcoinis downnow due to the cancellation of the Segwit2x. But I would've hold on to my Bitcoins even if the Segwit2x was not cancelled. Still hodl them and wait for a couple more years for these coins to grow.

I think the normal behavior would have been ALTs going back to BTC under 7000USD, as it happened. IMHO it's just random that the BCH went up so much & then money is calling people there, everyone thinking they should have bought when it was like 700, slowly starting to do it. It will be very profitable for some, and the last one to enter will lose money. The big question being when is it too late to buy BCH.

I think are normal corrections and nothing special even though it suffered a couple of hundred dollars decrease in price. Since the announcement of S2X being cancelled, people that bought their coins in anticipation of the event has sold their bought coins to pursue on other ventures and to partly make profit. If S2X continued, the price will also continue to push due to FOMO, and not going down like what's happening right now.

Actualy its not true thats the bitcoin price value is going down into $7K because if you look up the coin market caps now the market going so good,but in this market price is so little into our side and a part of investor this price value are not enough to gain profit,therefore i must insist to hold more and wait the moment the price value going higher,before making a trading.
