Title: setting up solo mining? Post by: elasticband on June 19, 2013, 01:29:40 PM SO i was thinking about giving htis a go for a week or 2 but what i have read online is limited and scattered...... can anyone point me in the direction of a easy to follow guide on setting up solo mining with bitcoin client and bfgminer

Quote producing around 230GH/s just now on btcguild I'd be interested in how many of your found blocks are orphaned as I understand that solo mining requires careful configuration of your peers to maximise your network connectivity. Reminder to self: always check posters history before firing off a quick reply :-\ But yes, I am interested in whether you need any specific configuration to reduce the orphan rate. Anyone know? I have heard of others having to setup pool software so that they could solo mine with one 60Ghs Avalon because the Bitcoin-qt couldn't handle that hashrate. Sam Title: Re: setting up solo mining?
