bid increments of 1 BTC.

Auction will end today at 6 PM EST.

winner will get the unit for 50 BTC if that's the high bid.

50% of the winning bid must be paid to me tonight at 6 PM, the remaining 50% must be in escrow tonight as well.

I'd post a pic in the thread but cant figure out how...

Shipping cost is on the buyer and I'll expect to be paid in BTC for shipping once the unit arrives, no need to escrow that.

Not possible, I'll explain it now so the question does not keep coming up.

I do not fully trust escrow, I want to make sure I have something in my wallet before shipping.

Thank you for your answer. The only way I might be interested in non-100% escrow mode is to go "standard way", which means legally claimable contract with high penalty set for both sides in case of violation, this verified by notary before any funds or goods go out. Any chances for this?

Yes, I have no problem with this, if you wish to write a contract, I can print it out, take it to a notary, sign it get it stamped and fax or e-mail it back.

Nice setup BUT that could be anyones pics. you have to write your screen name and date on a piece of paper and show that in the pics with the Avalon.

Thanks, i'm working on that now, I'm not with the units so I have to ask someone else to do it for me as  they work and have a job it may not be till later that it gets done.

I'd offer 50 BTC with 100% escrow through John K... Ship with delivery confirmation/signature required and take pictures of box being packed up, and you should have all the proof you need to get the funds released once the package arrives, if the buyer wanted to try and claim the package didn't arrive/wasn't as advertised.

Please read the OP again, there is no point of bidding if you don't agree with MY terms!

Just a form question but a 50 BTC starting bid and 'no reserve' seems a little odd. Technically the reserve is 50 BTC if that is the lowest price you are willing to sell it for, no?

I am new, but from what I have seen, John K is the man for escrow. Why would you not want to do this? What reasoning is there to not protect you AND the buyer?

I have seen escrow screw the seller, maybe not through Johnk, as I know his rep is rock hard. But I`m not willing to take chances, its not like I can call Avalon and buy a new one.

Its not like the buyer can call--anyone for their 10BTC (or more) back.

Plus, in the crazy-ass event that something ever did go wrong with a John K escrow, you could bring the whole thing to here and probably work it out. He seems like a VERY straight shooting guy, with NO REASON at all for anyone to doubt him. Their is simply no reason whatsoever to NOT do escrow other than to scam people, especially for something this expensive. Like you said, the unit is not replaceable--neither is the money to buy it.

Easy solution: Require an in-person visit (as someone already offered) and escrow the *DEPOSIT* of 10 BTC, that way if they don't buy, you get 5BTC or 10 BTC or whatever the terms are. Nothing to lose, easy money.

damn it matt you took the words out of my mouth. I was about to link everyone over to that thread and warn them. Dude is 100% a scammer and i dont recommened anyone to deal with him unless you getting 200% escrow ;)

Me being a Jr member has nothing to do with it. Sure I am new to this site, but ive been day trading bitcoins for over 3 months now. I research and learn every day. So I know plenty.  

In your defense, it doesn't take even a newbie to know that this is a set-up.

Just a little story to tell, maybe some of you will learn from this,

One day a friend of a friend ordered some "items" online in a venue similar to this.

He shipped the item using UPS, and the item got "lost" it was scanned in by ups and had a few scans throughout the shipping process but supposedly never made it to the buyer,

After fighting with UPS my friends friend was told there was nothing he can do about it and that the item was lost and not the fault of UPS, (I fucking hate UPS BTW)

to make a long story short, my friends friend did some research and found that what he sold was being listed on craigslist in the same area as the buyer, he did more investigation and contacted the seller of the items... Guess what??

It ended up being the buyer he shipped to who was selling the items, even told my friends friend, who he thought was a real buyer that he scammed the items through a friend of his who worked for ups...

He contacted ups with this info and the driver got fired for delivering the item without scanning it in, in essence robbing my buddys friend.

I REFUSE TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN TO ME!

And the fact is he could still be legit, but being too overly cautious. Sure it mostly points to scam. But he could be legit. His terms are turning off potential buyers. since hes not worried about it and has someone in the "real world" he should just sell to them.  Let me also be clear that this is all very real to us,  real money, real btc.  we are real as well.

as stated ship it to the escrow have them verify the unit is in the box then escrow released and the unit reshipped to me

so I get 10 btc put to escrow, I hold the rig and deny real life buyers to buy it from me, then they guy never comes through for whatever reason and I go back to my real life buyer and try to sell it to him but...opus.. he already bought one and has no money to buy from me... so I would lose the buyer and make 10 BTC.. I think not.

Your terms are too risky for a buyer. and you forget we are real people, with real money to lose as well. I think you should just tell to whomever this person is willing to buy in person that you keep talking about.

Surp I think you are better off just taking that real in person order you said that you already had an in person buyer in your area so why even try and auction it? Take whatever money you can get out of it locally because way too many people have been scammed here.

Your pics don't even prove that YOU own avalons. it could be someone elses pics.

When you escrow, there are terms in that escrow for what happens if it does not arrive or is lost, etc. But, if that is REALLY the concern, just escrow and have it picked up in person. The excuses just are not making sense at this point.

In one of the other threads where he was trying to "sell" this, it was revealed that someone put down a deposit of 10 BTC. He's still waiting for a refund...

This guy is a scammer. He says he does not trust anyone, but expects the buyer to trust him.
