Title: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: Subo1977 on June 19, 2013, 04:26:30 PM Why so a big drop in HR?
Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: spiral_mind on June 19, 2013, 05:31:21 PM Avalon got caught running their own private mining operation with customers' pre-order units and had to stop.
Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: vom on June 19, 2013, 05:34:47 PM Shhhhh... I'm liking the current next diff. estimate just like it is. :)

Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: crazyates on June 19, 2013, 07:14:35 PM Wow. That sucks. Well the drop in diff is alright, but Avalon was supposed to be "the honest one". Just goes to show you can't trust anyone.
Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: wpgdeez on June 20, 2013, 01:47:26 PM The drop didn't last long
Hash Rate 149,010.76 GH/s Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: lazydna on June 20, 2013, 02:25:34 PM 600 Avalon batch 3 coming online now 36theta + 20theta from asicminer. 56 theta soon, so diff is going to sky rocket again.
Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: wpgdeez on June 20, 2013, 02:27:44 PM Mining officially sucks. It is just a rich person game now. Goes against everything Bitcoin stands for. Feel so suckered, glad I only bought 2 ASIC miner blades. They can rot in hell with their greedy overpriced crap.
Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: Bitcoinorama on June 20, 2013, 04:57:18 PM Also BFL, 'just happen' on have created and shipped 500Gh/s units in batches of three for the Minirig customers. There was no announcement to as and when they first created them...that was probably a great little mining gig they've had for a while!

Feel so suckered, glad I only bought 2 ASIC miner blades. They can rot in hell with their greedy overpriced crap. Cry me a river. I'm really tired of this cry baby attitude. With two ASIC Miner Blades you have more hash rate than I do and maybe more than I ever will. So in the bitcoin world that makes you rich if you ask me. I'm sure you could sell your blades for a profit and move on to something else that's within your tolerance level. Title: Re: Drop in Network Hashrate Post by: meowmeowbrowncow on June 21, 2013, 01:49:04 AM Class warfare isn't so bad. After all - it's not like we are looking after each other's interests. That's each parties' responsibility. I think what we are fighting for is equal representation, consideration - equality - at least in how honestly business is conducted and the avoidance of price gouging. Bearish short term. Next gen of chips will change the game. But the stabilized hashrate in a few months will be the real game changer. Petabit hashrate - Feb '14. BFL and Avalon might be the safe bet now - but I believe bitfury and it's very low power req's is a solution targeted for many months from now. </ramble> |
