Hello everyone,

I just joined the forum even though I have been reading it for a while. With so many altcoins doing really well in the last few days I was wondering how would you guys invest 10000 today?
I'd probably buy Ether, Litecoin and Monero.

Investing 10000$.  ..... I will probably invest in Litecoin and Ether only

$10K is a good start to invest in anything really.
I would throw it all on Bitcoin and hope to become a millionaire within 1-2 years. It's all a risk but it's possible.

Whatever you invest in, make sure you make a wise decision. $10,000 is good sum of money to start with, but it's also a large amount to lose if all goes wrong. I would invest in something that definitely has potential and ignore a risk investments. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum  would be good choices i think.

Find a good project with a roadmap. Check if you believe the market cap is low then invest and wait few years. You will earn I believe

I like to diversify. It's pretty good deposit for 3-5 coins. If I were you I'd invest in ETH, VERGE, ZEN, OmiseGo and Ark at same proportion.

60% BTC and 40% for the alt coins,do some research so your money wont be burned by the shitcoins.

It is a risky business to invest 10000 USD in altcoins , I have bought about 0.10 btc worth of altcoins at poloniex and they are all in red since I bought them during 2 months ago. I would only invest in Bitcoin seeing these facts however if I was forced to invest in altcoins I would go for Ethereum, Zcash and Monero and why not a bit of Ripples too.

Invest 80% in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero.
The last 20% in good ICOs with potential high growth  :)

After the hark fork information of bitcoin gold we see that ethereum's value little fluctuate from that time. Therefore, you no need to invest your fund on ethereum according to me.
You see that Monero shows the better growth in value and it is the choice for the many people who is start doing GPU mining.
Litecoin also fine option all the altcoins value will not shows the big growth like bitcoin.

I'll just shill you may alts and that'll be it. Or when you have that kind of money you can do better than just asking people here. Cause, the truth is mostly, people will just shill x coins. DYOR!

Half Bitcoin, half shitcoins, the good ones. If you want security, Litecoin, Ethereum, Monero, maybe ZCash and Dash. If you want more risk, Stratis, Lisk, Neo, OMG, Waves. There are promising projects amongst the low caps, but they are very risky, (shill mode on) my personal favourites: Netko, Rain, Mothership, Via, Token and Ptoy. Avoid Bitconnect, it's a scam.

I would just invest in cheap altcoins only i would probably have a lot of coins from it, but i would not spend all of the money on it. I will spend 5k on altcoins and 5k on bitcoins.

This will help me maximize my profit from my investments. So i get a better chance.

I would for my 60% for ETHER,NEO,RIPPLE and remain 40% for Bitcoin investment .Lets go for first Ether because Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.Second is NEO because  NEO uses a unique blockchain algorithm that improves upon Ethereum’s model. NEO has made some outstanding progress in both value and market capitalization.And the third one is RIPPLE because Ripple is a very popular network, many banks across the world use it as the basis for their own settlement infrastructure and also their developer team is good.And Bitcoin is a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system and also called the first decentralized digital currency,They can be exchanged for other currencies,products, and services, So Bitcoin have bright future.

i would buy bitcoin with all of it, specially since i believe there is a good chance there will be a big rally pretty soon.
and then use some of it for trading altcoins that are getting pumped.

10K gives me 1.38BTC. and since i like round numbers i would transfer 1BTC to cold storage and use that 0.38 for trading.
coins like VTC and BCH which are getting pumped nicely are good options and each time i make profit i will transfer some of the profit to cold storage to sit beside my initial 1BTC and also increase my 0.38 for more profit.

i wouldn't buy Ether anymore since i think it had a dead cat bounce and even if i do, i will keep it on exchange balance to dump it fast because transferring ether to my wallet is scary these days with all the bugs in these wallets and all the hacks that happen.

Hmm..30% in Bitcoin, 15% in new crypto projects, 20% in large projects such as Monero, the rest - on my own development

30% BTC and 70% other top 50 cryptos like waves, ARK, MONA ...

I would recommend you to invest 50 percent of your investment in Bitcoin as it is without any doubt, one of the world's fastest growing investments. You can expect a high value of Bitcoin in future. You can also but and hold some progressive altcoin like ethereum, waves, straits, ripple or neo as all of them have huge potential and help you earn huge amounts of profits.

I would probably invest fully in bitcoin because i think that it will go to 50k in the future. I would have made a lot of money when this happens. Altcoins are also good, but there are too many of them now.

I think i could spend 5 dollars to a cheap altcoins thats it.

If there's no deadline or time limitations to get back profit from the investment, then it's good to invest into ICO and altcoins that are showing good growth. This has got little more risk compared to bitcoin, because growth with bitcoin happens periodically but with altcoins we don't know the when the real growth happens.

Then buy Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero. Your choices are pretty safe. You don't want to lose your money.
If 10k is big money for you stick to them. In the long run you won't lose with them. You also won't make 100x though.

Seeing too many of these types of questions but $10k, 40% BTC, 30% ETH, Rest in Alts.

Well if you invest to the classical cryptos won't have big returns, if you invest to a good ICO you can have huge returns. I personally I would go for a good ICO

I've invested around $150k before the fork canceled announcement and this time my port folio worth almost $210,000
All of them were good for the long term investment. you can try to see about the history of every coin and the price always increase everytime. But you must try to join in crypterium too.

I would do the following:

Bitcoin 2k
Ethereum 2k
XRP 2k
XMR or SIA or Litecoin or Stellar 2k
2k on new ICO ( long shot but worth the risk )

You can try new ICO project like pundi or truckcoin
Both of them have great project, clear roadmap for future project

But if you want to buy well known altcoin, ETH or monero can be a great option since their value quite stable from time to time

You should definitely put a big proportion in bitcoin, half at least. Not sure about Litecoin but Eth and Monero would also be good.
Having a big% in bitcoin will give you an incentive to keep up with bitcoin news, which is important as it has a huge impact on all altcoin prices.

   It is how I think and do. Time is important, before making

   I do not have deadline, I invest my extra money in bitcoins,

$10000 is a lot of money, until now I invested around $1500
mostly in bitcoins. Same advice is for every, first bitcoins then
everything else, it is good to have as many different tokens and
alt-coins as you can.

Imho you have to decide how much risk you want to put in your investment.

As Bitcoin is a always changing coin that could also crashed at any point when the people decide so, I'd just put like 30-40% of that money.

If you watch Litecoin and Ethereum e.g. you can see that the risk there is not as high and you will see it increasing in the next years more and more, but the chance to get tons of money might be not as good as with bitcoin. Maybe it is, but who knows what the future brings.

Otherwise read about OmiseGo, Iota, Waves, Vertcoin, Ark, Lisk and see which would have for you the most potential and just split the money on a few. They all have and will mostly all survive between all this tons of ICO's and shitcoins and I'm pretty sure they will minimum go 2x till 10x in the next years as they're still in a big stage of progress.

Conclusion: 30% Bitcoin 40% Litecoin/Ethereum 30% altcoins to keep the risk low and make a good amount of money longterm

It's interesting to hear different advices but I wasn't asking for financial advice, I was asking how would YOU guys invest 10k if you had it right now. :) I already have a rather large amount of money in bitcoin, that's why I asked in the altcoins section.

I would invest in BTC for sure, ETH and some ICOs just to diversify my investment. Make your own researh and good luck!

I would buy 1 Bitcoin and whatever was left would buy some strong altcoins. Guarantee a profit from both sides, when Bitcoin rises altcoins usually fall the value. So if Biticoin were to lose its value, I would have the opportunity to profit from it with the altcoins.

If Bitcoin raised the value would be higher the profit because most of the money invested is in it.

Adex or TenX $2k

You should invest 50% in BTC and 50% diversify among ~10 altcoins (take them from list of TOP50 coins on coinmarketcap that you like the most). HOLD min 1 Year.

I will invest with bitcoins long term.

For newbie i suggest you to don't spent all your money for investing in crypto.
Just split your money with :
1. 50 % for investing on real asset like: Gold
     and property
2. 30 % for investing on credible coin like
     ethereum, BCC
3.  20 % for trading if you still dont know just
     learn it because you have a big start.
4.  10 % for your saving.

As we see, the price of Bitcoin is going down. As for me, it's better to wait and buy it. As a result, Bitcoin will cost more and investors will get a profit.

10,000 USD is a lot of money and I am glad that you have found this time to ivnest in crypto as most of the alts are pretty cheap at the moment. I had put in about the same time of money during July and i am down 30% in terms of USD. Now putting in more money to buy some downed alts. Some of my picks are 0x, zec, etc, xmr, bmc and xel.

I would like to buy ethereum and bitcoin for that $ 10K because the growth of the two coins for the one year is very high so i think in future also it will continue to increase its price so I invest $ 5K on bitcoin and $ 5K on the ethereum for instance if one coins fails to be successful other coin will help us to give our invest amount so our invest amount will be safe if we invest on two coins.

i think people which want to invest $10,000 is a rich person because not all of us have much of money to buy bitcoin and I think we still have another option to buy coins like ethereum or dash or monero. these three coins is in lower price but soon this coins can be increase too for the price. so I don't think that I can invest my money to buy bitcoin at $10,000 because that price is a big money for me so I think maybe its better to invest for another coins.

If i have 10000$ of my own to invest in Crypto world  then i would go all in Bitcoin for a 3 year Holding plan! ;)

If its a long term investment, I'd just buy bitcoins and sleep on it. I know it will bring huge profit in the long run, but if you have to pick an alt, then Eth could be a good option too.
If you want short term trades, then go with cheap coins, the percentage of profit is high in them.

It's mean Bitcoin will cost 700000$ in 1-2 year and it's impossible, he would do better to invest at least the half in altcoin if he want good profit in 1-2 year.
But is better for him to invest in Bitcoin at first and buy altcoin after when he will start to understand Bitcoin and the entire market, so for his security he can buy Bitcoin,Ethereum,Litecoin and Neo and after do is on research.

I think that investment amount itself is not enough background data to make a right decision.

If it's your last money, or if you borrowed these 10k, I'd suggest you forget about investing it.

But if 10k is amount you can invest and ready to painlessly lose - I'd suggest to diversify your investment between a couple of popular strategies: "buy and hold top 10 coins" - 3k , mining (with this amount I mean a shared cloud mining like hashflare) - 3k, investment funds -3k and some aggressive risky strategies (like BitConnect) - 1k.

90% of your portfolio will be conservative (for cryptoworld at least), 10% will give you a chance to make a breakthtough.

Importantly do not forget about the risks. And if you have the sum divide it at least in 10 projects. Do not store in one.

I will make an investment in ethereum.

I would invest the majority of it in bitcoin (1 full bitcoin so around 60-70%) then i would use 15% on ethereum and 15% on some altcoins. Better to spread the investment over a few that way if one goes big you have made a profit.

One ICO i personally would invest in is Crowdholding.

Just wait a little for few weeks and buy BTC when it drops to 5000$. It will be the easiest and correct desicion for HODL I suppose.

I will try to get a good blockfolio. I will put about $3k into bitcoin and another $3k into eth. Another $3k into potential alt coins like OMG, Qtum, Iota, Neo etc. The last $1k maybe is used for ICO investment.

This is just my thoughts, nothing more....bitcoin gold conceived as a countermeasure against Ethereum, so I would be wary invested in Ethereum. Bitcoin cache too, not just there-'he came with a purpose... as you always do think first and then act. Look carefully at the coin spectrecoin (xspec) 20% of your wallet reasonably be put there, if you like the mission and the technology of this coin.

Would recommend one to buy a gold bitcoin with 10000$ Because bitcoin is better than other alternate cryptocurrencies. Firstly bitcoin is much older than other cryptocurrencies. Then secondly bitcoin has higher rates of increase in prices as compared to other alternate cryptocurrencies. Then bitcoin has much more popularity and users as compared to other cryptocurrencies. So because of all these things bitcoin is better than the other alternative cryptocurrencies.

Today I would invest this pretty large sum of money buying Ethereum, Monero, Waves. Maybe Stellar

If you are a newbie and you don't have much experience. I advise you should divide. Let spend $6800 to buy Bitcoin for long-term. With $3200 you can choose some good coins such as Ripple, Kyber, OmiseGo or Spectre (a new token from ICO project).

If you are a long term investor, look for altcoins with promising projects behind them, projects that provide real life solutions, invest in them and take a walk, come back after some years.

For now I suggest you to buy BCH because it is just below the bitcoin and certainly its value will always go up as the bitcoin itself develops.
Look at how many investors benefit from it.

I found now really good project I believe in, it's Artoken by Cappasity. I would invest in it...

surely I will also do the same because now there are many who are investing in it because there are many bitcoiners who benefit from it's own, and has much to prove it.

Same thing that I say to my friends, don't go to much for super new stuff just to MAYBE get the hype of it. Stick to coins that are already there and will even progress more in the next years and might go up from 2x-10x

Coins I'm talking about would be:

1. OmiseGo (read about it and you'll for sure see the potential it has next year)
2. Neo
3. Waves
4. Vertcoin
5. Litecoin (Not raising a lot, but constantly always going up a bit, so it's one of the safe investments)
6. Ether (still really high potential with it's technology - look for the Ethereum-roadmap and see what's coming up)

I would suggest to buy a portfolio of tokens. One new ICO which in my opinion can moon is Amor (amorcoin.org)

That's awful. The guy sincererly asks more experienced people for a good advice, and you lead him into something very few heard of and is looking scammy. That's one of the worst investments advices I have seen. Would you accept responsibility, if he follows your advice and looses all his invested money?

I agree with this, go for the platforms which have great teams and already a big community behind them so a higher chance of long term success, then maybe allocate a small percentage of all funds for the more speculative projects or ICOs that you might be interested in. Important to spread around the risk.

Wow! $10,000 for investment is really huge. If I were you, I will study first the cryptocurrency I am going to invest in to prevent myself for being scammed. I am the type of person who does not want my efforts be wasted. There are too many ICOs which implements very good projects. Study them all, pick wisely, and have a good strategy because $10,000 is not a joke.

but it all depends on each belief to choose altcoin.
I prefer ETH, Waves, LTC. Because I think the coin has a very good price for the future.
