Title: Cheapest way to send bitcoin to different address
Post by: holahapi on November 10, 2017, 02:55:37 PM
I recently bought some bitcoin in ANXPRO, just want to send them to my bitcoin wallet.

I want to send them to different address which I own all of them. (For security reason)

I am thinking doing this
ANXPRO > Bitcoin address 1
Bitcoin address 1 > Bitcoin address 2
Bitcoin address 1 > Bitcoin address 3
Bitcoin address 1 > Bitcoin address 4
So I will charge 3 time for transaction (not include the ANXPRO > Bitcoin address 1)

Wondering any better way to do this.

Why would you need to do that? If the answer is privacy, it's probably better if you just use a mixer to "clean" your coins and break every connection between your ANXPRO account and your final address.

Otherwise, I don't see any other reason why would you break one transaction between several addresses.

In Electrum it is possible to pay to many addresses in one transaction.

Go to "Tools>Pay to many" and put your receiving addresses on their own lines.
That way you can make the shortest and cheapest transaction.
ANXPRO > Bitcoin address 1
Bitcoin address 1 > Bitcoin address 2, Bitcoin address 3, Bitcoin address 4

Also you can do the transaction at a cheap time by following the https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ (https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/)
By choosing a cheap time it should be possible to only pay 20-30 Sat/Byte.

Maybe he has so many bitcoins that he wants to divide them to different addresses. I wouldn't want to keep more than 100BTC in one address...

there is no benefit in doing that

I am for security, not privacy.
Just afraid one of the address being hacked, I understand it also impossible to be hacked, but still possible.
Also need few hot wallets to be use by me and my family.
(Also I can give different cold wallet to my family and let them manage them)

If all those addresses are in the same wallet, then chances are you're not increasing the security... as they will all be able to be generated from the same seed, so if the wallet/seed gets hacked, they'll all be exposed.

You'd need to create several new wallets, each with their own seeds and then split your coins across the different wallets.

In any case, you can use the "pay to many" option in Electrum and do one transaction that sends your coins from Address1 to Addresses 2, 3 and 4... and save a little on fees. Especially because fees are just insane right now.
