Post by: iamteody on November 10, 2017, 05:07:52 PM
They say yesterday fork was cancel and now they are saying it just a delay but sure segwitx2 will continue. Is that true?

It seems like they do plan on going on with the fork. And after 1 day they change their mind. And so on ...
It should happen today or it might not...so until I see the new chain I won't believe a thing

Most exchanges are preparing themselves for a fork that might not even happen.

The magic block was supposed to be 494,784 and it was mined 11 minutes ago....

Yes,crypto currency exchanges GDAX and coinbase have frozen the bitcoin transactions in their platform temporarily.Even though majority of earlier segwit2x supporters withdraw their support,a few group of miners have decided to go with segwit2x.

It is said that Sexwit2x is less than 15 blocks to come in to existence. It i said that the freeze will continue for atleast six hours in those exchanges.

Your guess is as good as ours. There's just too much confusion right now. Until a few hours ago I believed that Segwit2X is cancelled. Then I went online, saw that there's a small faction planning to continue with the fork. I guess we won't know until the time of the fork has passed. I am hoping its not true, I'm tired of forks. However I do understand that bitcoin is an open source project.

Something popped up on Yobit called YOB2X
Could be related to an altcoin fork event?

Whether it turns into another coin or not depends on whether there is enough miner support for it. If there is not enough miner support to process/confirm transactions, then it will not exist for all intents and purposes.

Oh, what a surprise , yobit...
Seems like it's indeed the btcsegwit2x (gold ultra cash platinum mega ) coin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2404659.0

And is live ...
http://yobit.net/en/trade/YOB2X/BTC

I'm confused, didn't yobit launch another future trade on segwit2x a few weeks ago that crashed almost 80% when the news about the cancellation surfaced?

It's going to work like the other fork did, BCH or like the other one (BTG) is trying to work.
Either way this one is going to be a huge fail right from the start
