Title: system error: Database I/O error bitcoin Post by: Bitcoin Oz on June 20, 2013, 02:13:44 AM Ever since the 0.8.2 I have been having major issues with it. It takes hours to open the program and the laptop is practically unuseable.
Now I'm getting "system error: Database I/O error " that comes up whenever I open the program. Also where has the bitcoin data directory moved to I can no longer find it in ~/library/application support/bitcoin because there is no bitcoin folder anymore.... Try installing the newest bitcoin client. The data directory is missing from the library altogether. I've backed up my wallet.dat and started both at command line with -reindex. Catching up on 5 years and 28 weeks now.
