I wouldn't mind bitcoin forks that test out new technology.  It may be adopted by the main bitcoin chain if it results in significant improvement.  I don't think any will take over bitcoin but may have a future in the altcoin community after this.

Lol! BTC has gone 7x in 7months and you guys are bitching about bubbles? Yes, BCH wont go up forever, there will be a drop, but it will continue its climb long term and BTC will come down from the top of the mountain.

I dont give a shit about the devs or theymos. I'm sure they are great guys, but the fact is BTC has fallen behind in terms of technology.

Question for those who only support BTC, is there ANYTHING that BTC could do which would make you change your opinion about it?

I don't think so. Miners mine which is most profitable. And for now it is BTC. BTC doesn't scale very well. Transactions getting slower and fee higher.

Just two days ago SEGWIT2 was declared dead!

Slow-transactions, again these are problems of fools, certainly 10 minutes or 2 hours is not bad if your moving $1M USD from a to b, what's the hurry?

WRT to buying coffee, well then use BTC-Z, its a penny coin that is essentially 100% BTC with equihash (GPU),

NO BTC fork will ever get the 51% consensus, the writing is on the wall.

Doing 1-4 above will require a team of people who are not sucking NSA cock, or being spoon fed by CIA, or MOSSAD.

Almost all coin including BITCOIN is uncomfortably too close to NSA, same for Monero and its questionable choice of EDSCA integers

IMHO the next BTC will come from some kid in Mexico or Laos, on his PC running his GPU, and he'll develop an ALGO that satisfy's 1-4

Seems like it is in full pump and dump mode.  All the alt coins are down and it is up.  Not a lot of new money coming into the crypto space.  Just moving around.  In chasing the most popular crypto of the day you end up buying at the top.

The ICO of BitcoinCash was successful thats why the price is getting doubled time by time,the miners are adopting BCH from BTC.

Looks like a classic case of pump and dump. Whales have finished playing with bitcoin so they are now doing it with bitcoin cash. Market manipulation and good for investors if you time it right, but it will be dumped so watch daily and get ready to dump.

Bitcoin cash is not scam, of course. But it's not a bitcoin at the same time. Because of forking, people are transferred to bitcoincash because they will get free token. Everyone likes the free product, lol. After forking, everything will be back to its old point.

Just had a shock when I saw the chart. I think the supporters of segwit2x are now supporting bcash since the fork is cancelled.

i think that bitcoin whales and miners are preparing a massive abandon of BTC.

It'll be interesting to see if some subset of miners ends up mining the 2x chain, further drawing hashrate away from BTC (as the bitcoin2x.org site states). That seems unlikely, but Bitmain is certainly capable of playing games with the hash distribution. A lot of people shrug it off, but I think the recent spam attacks with sustained high fees are having some effect on investors.

Anyway, I'm selling my BCH into this rise..... just sold at $1040-1050. The chart looks really healthy, but there was massive volume today. I'm expecting a correction (which would coincide with a healthy bounce in BTC).

It's just an altcoin taking advantage of bitcoin, who keeps on dreaming to take over bitcoin very soon which won't be happening anytime. The price is also just a bubble which will shatter(burst) like its dream.Lol. There was no ICO for BitcoinCash. It was created from a fork. Regarding bitcoincash - the previous ATH was about 0.21btc - so I think they're aiming to go past that.

Bitcoin Cash is another name for Trash.The coin which couldn't offer anything like the initial promises and apparently they tried to be better than bitcoin but failed miserably.If I could take one coin out of the altcoin scene,it would be bitcoin cash.That also includes any other coin forked from bitcoin core.

I also think it is a bubble, bch has a very striking rise and I think will go back down again but can not be determined the right time.

But#2 on that list is Bitfinex, which is based in Taiwan (and once again with large number of Chinese users). #3 is the Korean based Coinone, and #4 is the US-based Bittrex.

It seems bitcoin cash introduces block sizes that could be more usable in the real world transactions. But what I really don't like about bitcoin cash is that it goes about upgrading technology in a very hostile and negative way. The people behind it seem like complete tools who are in it for the money. I want my bitcoin unmanipulated and decentralized. Not controlled by some miners who decide changes for everyone.

Bitcoin Cash is pretty much done, there is nobody really trying to flip that coin for anything that has a large price attached to it.

I am almost shocked that Bitcoin Cash costs so very much these days. I guess it will be wiser to change it for some other crypto – for instance, Waves, Ethereum Classic, Monero. Maybe BCC is not a bubble, but it will not grow constantly and soon might fall.

It is obvious a bubble many people have been saying that bitcoin is in a bubble despite the fact it took it months to reach this high price, while bitcoin cash reached that amount in a matter of days, that price is not sustainable and I will be surprised if bitcoin cash price was able to remain above 1000 dollars.

It seems to me that bitcoin is money is a bubble now and it will never replace bitcoin.

No one can call this alt scam or bubble – people manage to earn on it, and even this fact proves that Bitcoin cash is also a cryptocurrency that interests many investors. Anyway its price for now is higher than it must be.

I was also surprised at you when I went to coinmarketcap and saw the price of Bitcoin Cash about 2500 USD.
It is really a matter of surprise that suddenly its price has increased so much.

Its just economics. Think of original BTC and BTC cash as of two competing companies. If one of them drives prices up then second one gets more customers.

BTC has too damn high commissions. For actual trade other altcoins are better and their market slowly rising. But some of them may randomly spike causing greater fool market cascade.

I share the same opinion.  It's definitely a shit-coin and their plot was/is utterly ridiculous.

I could agree with the above statements - BitcoinCash is a bubble, and soon about to pop! We've seen it happen before... think about it... I mean if Bitcoin can go from almost $8K to $6K in half a night, whats going to stop BCash from crashing too?

For me btc is not a scam because it defends on how you use it and on how you get btc token because there are some project is scam and other are just a frank so for me it is not a scam.

As for me, BCH is a wonderful bonus for those who own Bitcoin. Imagine you have got some Bitcoins and you earn the same amount of BCH for free. It's like to make a fortune or inherit something!

i think its another son of bitcoin , when bitcoin drop is rise, just another way to exchange when price get fluktuatif, but i dont have any bitcoin cash..

'Bitcoin' Cash is absolutely not a 'son of bitcoin'. It's a parasitic shitcoin that steals the name.

Perhaps most of this forum thinks Bitcoin Cash is a balloon and I think that it is a fair share of justice. Because he still can not prove himself. Brand awareness does not seem too high.

I think it's conspiracy. BCH supporters have decided to try to shift BTC from top-1. As I know they've made huge amount of fake transactions with big fees to prevent the confirmation of "normal" transactions an BTC network recently. So it looks like some kind of scam.

That's not fair, bitcoin cash got into existence from main chain. There are several other altcoins that carry the name of bitcoin but those doesn't gained the market same as bitcoin cash. The growth seems to be partially real as it is right now stabilizing.

Its not totally a shitcoin since its still being traded and there are still some people who do make engagement with it but only on the purpose of making money not totally changing their loyalty to bitcoin. Bitcoin cash isn't a shitcoin considering and looking on its price we can say that it is capable but not totally enough to make names or even surpass bitcoin because this thing is really just an another altcoin in the market which you can possible get it or trade with it so that you would able to make money on its moving prices.

It has been interesting to see that BCC's rise was inversely proportional to BTC which had its brief fall, this showed the market's movement due to the refusal to accept the hard fork of segwit2x, which led to the exit of large investors in disagreement with not accept the update of BTC, however there must be another reason as a cause in the rise of BCC because its price stabilized and bitcoin recovered (currently with an uptrend).

I would like to do that as well, but it seems some people are falling in the scam, it is a shame but some people are actually buying BCH at these high prices, I do not think those that bought when bitcoin cash reached its peak are ever going to be able to get profits or to break even.
