NEW UPDATE 0.4.2

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238608.msg2550970#msg2550970

old update 0.4.1:

PoS difficulty is very low. Low diff is why even small transactions can make PoS blocks after very small amount of time, and the reward is minimal. Rounding was up to 2 decimals, rounding down. Super small rewards were below rounding and not paid.

- no more rounding starting from block 12500 [22.06.2013]
- new awesome graphics made by 1Peter
- first stage of reworking alerts system.

Looks like the new account of TruCoin

Don't be a fool.  Trucoin had to have his own coin "snipercoin" made for him.  He could never code his own coin.

Looks like the new account of TruCoin

Mr TruCoin never contacted me, I don't know him.
All his posts and sites have no connection to development team.
You really shouldn't be trolled that easy by so obvious troll.

Everything worked OK with the 0.4.1 update, but it was just a first stage of a 2-step update that couldn't be done in single step to avoid risk of forking.

Second phase was not planned so quickly, but there was another issue found buy no one else than the PoS Creator : Sunny King.
Thanks to His help and support, we were able to fix potential instability issue in the future.
It was originally found and fixed by Sunny King in Novacoin, and was already implemented in BitBar, but He found we needed a different approach.

0.4.2 :

- Sunny Kings's fix for P2Pool blocks modifier desynchronisation issue
- Second stage reworking  of alert system. Now updated.

This is not a hard fork update, it will work with the current one, BUT :

- There is a mandatory redownload of the blockchain, to make all of them identical.
- notify your favorite exchange and pool with this, potential desynchronisation block should not happen between them, to avoid doublespend's , just in case of super bad luck!

I am now downloading the block chain and rebuilding the database on CCE.

I am having a hard time grabbing peers, was there also a network version change that would prevent the new client from connecting to older versions? (Unlikely, but I thought I should ask just in case)

Also,

Do you have plans to integrate Novacoin network hash rate calculation that was released in a recent Novacoin commit, into BitBar?

It would certainly help me out to have the developer patch the daemon, then to attempt to patch it myself, without the intimate knowledge of the Bitbar code base the developers have.

We can add hashrate calculator,

but I believe hashrate is a very bad indicator for comparison of POW and POS-hybrid blockchains  models security strength .

I have a tendency to agree, however it is a number explorer users (sites and individuals) want to see, and I want to at least make sure they are getting an accurate number. I firmly believe before PPC and Novacoin were patched with an accurate calculator, people were getting wildly inaccurate numbers from other sources.

Even the majority of the new coins do not have the function properly customized and are still using the Litecoin defaults, giving some inaccurate results. I want CCE to be a place were people can go to get accurate block chain information (Yes, properly integrating FRC demurrage is still on the list  ;)   ).

After I finish with the network hash API project, the next CCE project is to revise the Home Page so that every coin has its own CCE home page. This page will contain things like network hash rate, basic coin information, technical information and links.

I also want to have a spot where the coin developers can put a statement with pretty much whatever they want to say within good taste and keeping to their coin without trying to disparage competing coins.
Perhaps you can raise the issue with hash rate vs POS/POW there, it will be on the same page where the hash rate will be shown.

For the BitBar Community members here:

I am currently offering physical precious metals in exchange for QUARK. Have plenty of Old Morgan & Peace silver dollars, 1 oz bullion, TONS of jewelry (Gold & Silver - Including designer name brands & diamonds).

I already did my first deal with a BTCtalk member. Once he receives his items he will come on here and vouch for me. Please PM for inquiries on what type of bullion/ inventory you would like to purchase. I have a silver bullion email I have sent out to several members for them to peruse, and everything is priced in BTB:-)

Also anything on either of my official eBay stores is available to purchase with BitBar:

- stores.ebay.com/ATXSilver
- stores.ebay.com/ATXWholesale

What the member did for the first transaction was this:

I set up an auction on eBay with his exact order, I allowed him to 'purchase' the item without paying immediately through Paypal. He then transferred me the crypto to my wallet, and I am going to mark the item as 'Paid for' on eBay and ship out his item directly through the eBay system. This allows you to have recourse in case I pull any shenanigans (I wont), by opening up a buyer protection case and demanding a refund through the eBay system. And I can print out the shipping label right from my eBay store and have it professional shipped and carefully packaged and dropped at post office within 24 hours of payment received.

BitBar - Already so valuable you can buy Diamonds & Platinum with it. Hows that for legit crypto?

LETS GOOOOOO!

PM me with details or email addresses for my list of current silver/gold inventory on hand.
