I dont know which Alt to even go with

so far I put about 100$ into each on of these

What Alts are you guys going with would anything really even happy by end of the year  ?

the options you listed are quite good picks, but whatever you decide to invest in, make sure you understand what the coin does and what it is about. It might be easy to just pick something to invest, just because you have some money to do so, but it's much more difficult to invest in something that will actually make you wealthy in the long-term. You have to understand how the market works and try to foresee future trends that might change the way people are communicating and living their life right now. In December (year end) we usually see interesting developments due to various reason, some of them being that many projects are starting or are concluded, people are getting bonuses / investing more money in crypto so yeah, there is a lot of demand at that time. Either way make sure you know what you're investing in.

Do you really believe in this?)) The price of $ 10,000 will certainly be but at the end of this year .. and in the future there will be more, but my opinion is that Bitcoin is the most stupid coin behind which there is no technology ... it's just a brand.

It seems to me that bitcoin cash in December, will return to their old positions, I still consider it futile. The miners will have it only for the organization of landfills and pumping money out of bitcoin. I'm not ready to invest in bitcoin cash in the long term. I do not see any alternatives to bitcoin. All altcoins together are unable to provide these opportunities in the long term offered bitcoin.

A lots if activities and season in crypto world are predictable because they happen all the time with the same pattern. During the end of the year, there will sell pressure on altcoin and bitcoin alike. You may not make profit on your holdings this year.

one of the main things you need to remember in altcion investment is that you should make sure to sell your coins at some point. for example i see you have started this topic about 5 days ago, and also mention bitcoin cash. if you have bought it that day you should have sold 2 days ago on top when it was 0.4BTC per coin and got out. if you didn't and waited, you have missed the chance to sell and now price is 0.14 and falling.

Yes, you did dun goof. BCash is a scam by Chinese Bitmain and Roger Ver.
They don't like the decentralization approach that Bitcoin Core wants to take (because it would ruin their ASIC Boost and reduce profitability for them), so they attacked Core in hopes of making their BCash propaganda seem real.
Stay away from this coin, it's the traditional corrupted world in crypto disguise. Stick out with Core instead.


Second, Golem is already at quite a high price even though it has been severly delayed multiple times.
SONM on the other hand has a better platform planned, better work ethics (they release milestones on time), is very undervalued (still under ICO price) and will release their platform before any other competitor.

I don't think so. Remember what happened before the christmas in 2016. The price started to make a sharp rise in december and this lasted in february 2017. The same pattern may apply again.

Golem is a good one. I have thesebtokens on hold for quite some time now. Bitcoincash, oh man! Please do away with it wjhile the price is high. That coin is manipulated by their developers. That coin is gonna go down the drain in an instant.

Has anyone noticed that lisk has growth more than 40% in just two days? it is amazing, i was going to buy today because i was expecting to see its price below $6 of each lisk, but it seems that i was late to that party, it is upto ten dollars each lisk and now it is so expensive for me.
I always knew that it was going to be one of the best altcoins of the year, but i did not expected to see it growing just at this moment that a lot of altcoins are going down so fast.

From your list I'm ok with NEO, but I'm not sure about the others. I don't know Bancor or Golem, so I wont talk about those, but are you sure about bitcoin cash? I know you saw that huge rise in price, but that was just a coordinated pump, and now bcash is dropping a lot and will probably continue to be dropping. If you are trying to ride on another pump it's ok, but I don't thin it will happen soon, and you could probably get into the "possible ride", at a better price than the current one.

NEO was a good investment made by you. Can't tell about the rest. However, instead of investing in GOLEM you should have invested in SONM, it's a real nice project but it's very undervalued. Nevertheless, it's your decision to invest. I hope all your investments give you nice return.

You should not buy GOLEM, it is hyped up - look at SONM and IEXEC, both competitors with similar products but much lower price atm. i prefer SONM but this is personal, dyor

Asking the question on what would happen on Dec, then no one really knows since no human being could able to predict on the things on whats ahead but somehow we can pressume on the things that might possible be done basing on the current situations of coins and on their possible updates on later months. For now i can say your portfolio is basing on centralised stuffs which i dont really like and also Bitcoin cash hype is over and hopefully uou didnt able to buy on those peak prices before you decide to hold up because it would really takes time for its recovery.

48 hours is not really a long time, you should have taken at least a month of research before you put your money in any single coin, I know that seems like a long time but it is not since you are new to crypto, some of the coins in which you invested are good but if you invested in bitcoin cash when it was at its peak the most likely outcome is that you are never going to recover your money.

Be careful in holding in between BTC fork as price of BTC rises alts drops so act smart between waves

What if bitcoin hit 10k usd ?  That will be very bad scenario for alts i think.  By the way total market cap has reached over 220m. What a fantastic value. I am not sure what will happen in dec but i bet cryptocurrencies will boom in 2018

Nobody can tell what will happen to the prices of those tokens in December, most people need to shift their focus now to long term investing rather than short term mind set

Just focus good ico also, i recommended  wabi and ins eco. Those have good potential. Ongoing alts invest by a reserach.. Do your own research.

No one will know what happen in Dec, even tomorrow is still mystery. Just prepare your self to face the worst. See again your strategy, calculate your target and fund to find " stop loss ", replace it and take action. I suggest you buy bitcoin to learn about real market or take the coin you want but only one. Learn to manage and grow up fund with the easy way you know, slowly but sure you'll understand. For me, Dec will become nightmare for altcoin. Good luck to you.  

Another Bitcoin fork will happen

I believe it would be the year of alts, cause a lot of ICOs has been spent in Q2-Q3 2017. So in the Q1 2018, there should start the first results delivery. And a lot of fud of course.

But also I believe BTC will keep on going. Still, it is not quite popular in the world in the everyday life. But the more it is widespread the more it's price is growing

I think you are right, the BNT has raised a lot of money and according to the road maps, some big development will be online next year, so as you can see the price is not still below the ico price.

Very few tokens has got a value below their ico price. Some shows initial price pumping and gradually decreases getting fixed to a value that lets user to earn through trading. As an user mentioned the second quarter of the year has got lots of worth ICO's and maybe the upcoming year will let them flourish high.

Bankor is a long term investment (~1 year) to profit.
NEO I think has a good chance to make 2x-3x.
Now BTC starting grows to 10k and then probably will be a bad news and BTC falling about 20-40%.

I agree with JK 14 - SONM is far better investment than GOLEM, they are 6 months behind and price is reflecting this - it's a great opportunity to buy, SONM price was a long time below ICO price, from what I heard over a year but I can't voucher for that, I found this project recently and invested in. It's one of this Tokens you can buy on dips and not worry about it, community is very active, you can join Telegram (I recommend it) and check their BitcoinTalk thread.

Its just a brand however bitcoin has already captured majority of the investors and I don't think it will slow down in the future. Did you see the bitcoin cash attack? They didn't succeed but instead bitcoin is now getting into the $8000 range. Never doubt bitcoin although I have to agree that there are altcoins like ETH that is better than bitcoin. But bitcoin becoming the first crypto to reach this height has its advantage.

Ether will break through 400, and there's a decent chance it will stay up there. At the very least, it will stay above 360. That's my prediction!

Bancor maybe a negative example for those who raise too much money during ico and do little work which is far away from matching the money they collect, No matter what you said they done, the market performance will be the only test

Oh Golem , why do you think golem will be prospective investment? The price is slowly down. I think you'd better invest in minexcoin. Minexcoin is just released the price is now o.oo1 BTC. If you're new, there's far too much to learn if you are going for lots of coins. I would just stick with bitcoin, follow developments and see how and why the price changes. Then maybe look at the top few alts and see how it works for them, particularly how their price changes in response to bitcoin price changes, and also check price performance over a long timeframe and see when it rose and why.
After this you can research a few coins and see what they are trying to do and where they are going, roadmap, team etc. You also need to familiarise yourself with the broad types of coin/token, eg smart contracts (Eth etc), privacy (Monero etc), fast payments (Dash etc), useless money-grabbing forks (bitcoin cash!, etc).

Main advice is don't try to do too much too fast - that's what I did at first, and it's a mistake. Just scale it back a bit and learn slowly. You're fine putting everything in bitcoin until you're more comfortable with the other coins.

I say this many a time and will repeat again, altcoin investors don't invest in coins with potential but invest mostly in pump. Market is running highly on sentiments. Anyone can pump a coin with 10 BTC and people will jump into it because crypto market has young investors in which most of them know nothing about market or investing. In such a mess finding a long term hodl coin becomes tougher.

Stay in top 10 large cap coins and invest when price is either in dip or is stable. Pumping such large cap coins isn't really easy for everyone leaving whales as happened in BCH recently.

Add ETH, LTC and XRP in your portfolio.

I am mostly in ethereum because they will switch from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake ! So if you have a lot of ETH then you can mine it and get even more ETH ! Sounds great right ?  ;D

I'm ok with you on NEO and have some good hope for GOLEM, but as said above, market can be play with 10BTC so maybee you should try keep some investement for Daytrading, i like it more nowadays.

That is a fact! The market is unpredictable and no one surely knows what would really happen by December. However, I believe there is a lot of development coming soon that would give the market a huge boost and most especially Bitcoin may experience some great push. However, altcoin market has been a bit lagging lately due to bitcoin, but nothing lasts forever.

If you are looking for some general advice than there will be lots of it but be careful in who you choose to believe in.

I saw that you bought some BCH, were you able to sell it off for some profit?
Or did you buy it when it was at an all time high?

I think the BCH scenario should be the first valuable lesson you take away, the market is extremely volatile, expect huge ups and downs.
If you are steady, patient, and have done your research you will be able to weather these extremes.
If you are not, and you give in to the panic or hype, you might find yourself forever buying high then selling low.

This is just my opinion, but rather than wait for BCH to pump again, I would sell it off and just put it into something more reliable.
And the most reliable of them all has always been bitcoin.

Why ? If I had to buy 4 tokens those certainly wouldn't be in my top 15. Do some more reading and look at the top market caps and what has the most support behind them.

Its hard to hold to long on altcoins now a days because of the price of bitcoin keeps pumping. Even if the coins that you are holding will pump after that but if you will convert it into bitcoin the volume of your bitcoin surely decrease.

On the contrary you shouldn't hold any altcoin because they are really for short term only. The only long term altcoin that is really worth is ETH, others is prone to all the pump and dump scheme.

I don't know what it is to be expected this coming December, but if you are going to see previous year, December was one of the bullish month for either bitcoin and ETH. So I'm expecting the same for this year as well. Specially bitcoin ecosystem which remains bullish up to now and trying to test $8500. BCH is dead already, don't ever think of buying today because the price is low, it will never get to the level where it was before at $2000.

I’m new as well and have looked into those coins you are holding. I think they are descent. Bitcoin Cash I myself would change to BTC i think you will get a better return with BTC, unless you are hoping it will pump a little bit.

This december expect the unexpected, this coin has also a big future. Its all coins are hard to predict, because their value is not fixed. Lets  just hope that all this coin will become more profitable, just what bitcoin do now. For now lets observed and see what will happen to those coins.

Nice portfolio but I think you dungoofed with Bitcoin Cash. So much politics and controversy surrounding this coin project that it is so prone to pump and dumps. If you expect to cash out in December, you may be caught in the middle of a dump.

You invested into 4 altcoins? I think at least 50% of your portfolio should be in Bitcoin since it is very hyped now. People are speculating which price Bitcoin ends up before 2018. Once Bitcoin will have another heavy rally just like what happened last year, then your alts will be blooded. Anyway your choices are good long term coins so if you are busy then just leave it behind and visit it next year.

There are many speculations and predictions happening at the moment, and some of them are that Bitcoin will reach the highest value of $10K by the end of 2017. Other experienced investors also believe that Ethereum will reach a value of $500 and that Altcoins will increase in general by the end 2017.

There is alot of uncertainty for December it seems but things look to be trending in the right direction. After all the fork madness of November, BTC seems to have held up pretty good.  There was a great chance to sell and make a decent profit during the dip after the fork cancellation and we are seeing new all time highs every week it seems.  I dont think we can make 10k by Jan 1st but that would be nice.

I am planning on holding pretty much all my alt positions throughout December and seeing what happens at the start of the new year. I am currently heavy on ARK and ZEC with a little bit of XIOS that I am hopeful will turn around with a new development team and wallet.

Every year in december the prices of bitcoin increase. This also happen last year which bitcoin touched 1000$ near December End. So i hope bitcoin will reach 10K by this christmas. I dont think altcoin can rise futher by this year and may we have to wait few months until Alts again started to bloom as right now they are all going down.

We all will make money in December and I will be a millionaire....just kidding. Well Crypto world is so dynamic and the prediction is not always accurate. I would say we can study the market and do some reading but her still we will not be able to master the flow 100%. People who have been around for a while in the market will certainly agree to that.

BTC will hit $10,000 if Tether/Bitfinex don't collapse. If BitConnect doesn't collapse as well. And if the SEC doesn't come down harsh on ICOs, but it is unlikely they will be pretty active just before the holidays.

You have a nice list of coins out there. But if you really want to make it big then I suggest that go for low cap coins. Visit coin market cap dot com and check alts that have less than 10 mil market caps. These have the potential to do 10x, 20x or even 50x. But these can also tank, so DYOR before buying anything.

I think all four would probably drop in december but nonetheless, after some time i see neo becoming valued and hike its price.

December is the wildest month of crypto-land. It could turn everything upside down. I invested in BTC about the same time in 2013 and turned out I did the best thing in my financial life. Bitcoin went mad and made me double my earning in a couple of weeks.  It is hard to predict the coming weeks since marketcap  is already too high.

From your list I'm ok with NEO, but I'm not sure about the others. I don't know Bancor or Golem, so I wont talk about those, but are you sure about bitcoin cash? I know you saw that huge rise in price, but that was just a coordinated pump, and now bcash is dropping a lot and will probably continue to be dropping. If you are trying to ride on another pump it's ok, but I don't thin it will happen soon, and you could probably get into the "possible ride", at a better price than the current one.

A lot of developments from new ICOs bro! There are some projects that would really give the market a huge push and there is no doubt most of them will really do a great job to make investors happy. However, for GNT and NEO as mentioned, they have really done well, even though BTC run gave them a huge push back, but they are projects that would thrive.

Yeah, and it is a long awaited delivery. Bitcoin's bull run this season has really caused a whole lot of them not to be able to do well. However, by December and early next month if the bull run does not persist, then we should see some of these ICOs having some boost. Nothing is constant and Bitcoin will just have to pause a little bit at some point.

Looks like December or the last quarter of the year is a hood time for Altcoins because Ethereum and other top coins values are increasing and it's a good start to step in next year will probably more increase than earlier this year.

I think bitcoin cash will drop in price before december 2017. Neo and Golem will keep rising. Bancor? I pretty much dislike it and don't know much.

I think the situation on December will be pleasant for people who hold the wide range of coins.
Many coins from first top 50 will increase in price. Some of them will increase significantly. Probably bitcoin will be 9-10k$ or higher if the futures will come out normally.
Everyday more and more people start using crypto and the volume of trades will also increase tremendously.

So, keep holding, guys. In my opinion it is the best strategy for now.

I think you would be wise to add RPX (red pulse) on to that list also. it is the most under valued currency that i am holding right now. I am actually fully expecting it to go up from the 6 cents it is currently at to around $1 sometime before the middle of next year. I got an email saying it is to be added to some more exchanges and has some new developers with a  lot of experience come on board the team so good things are going to happen with this coin shortly.

It surely has been a tricky few months in the cryptoworld, im sure everyone can agree. We've had forks happening, segwit2x cancelling, several Altcoins spiking, a few pumps and dumps too in Ethereum and Bitcoin.

But as it stand right now, we could see the highest ever rise of the two greatest cryptocurrencies. Yes, im talking about Bitcoin and Ethereum finally on the rise and heading for an All Time Rise.

Honestly month to month the ecosystem changes, November was a slow month for ICO's (one of the worst preforming months of the year) but maybe it will change in December.

No, BTC is the only one I didn't like out of your picks. BTC is just a copy of Bitcoin which makes it useless (people are just in-it for the short-term). It will be broken for sure possible that it will be that amount in euros by this year end.
This 10k barrier is broken think that better is will it be like this by this year end or it will rapidly go down and maybe hit 6-7k.

It is very risky to put all your eggs on alts. Maybe on alts that have upcoming events or updates on their platforms. I recommend you to stay half of your money into bitcoin as this unexpected rapid rise continues maybe until December especially that there are more hard forks coming up.

December is gonna be sick! I'm telling ya. It's usually the case that when the year closes you see some sort of dramatic changes in the market. There are many projects that are being launched in December to start with (the so called ICO's) and many of the investors that will want to put money into them will have to buy ETH or BTC (depending what the project accepts). This will definitely drive up prices. The main reason the prices will go up though is because we expect some fantastic developments in both Bitcoin and Ethereum, which combined basically dominate the entire crypto market. BTC will start trading a future contrast, which is huge (because ETH will follow in 2018 as well) and ETH is starting to implement their protocol updates which will make the entire network way more attractive than it already is.

No one can really know, but I still hope that bitcoin can hit the price of $12k and the altcoins will also pump higher. At the end it is still a great year for altcoins and specially for bitcoin a lot of things happened this year and we should be thankful because we all survive the price volatility.

well that really depends on what alts he will get because not all alts are risky like etherium therefor its still ok if he put all his eggs in one basket though it is also a smart idea if he can divide his funds and diversify it to some altcoins and bitcoins in order to expect a much better results. @op there were so many upcomming events that will happen on december like forks and price surges for bitcoin and etherium.

Personally I feel December will be a very exciting AltCoin period, with certain coins significantly outperforming Bitcoin (my gut). I'm feeling bullish personally on ADA, Stratis, MTL and NEO in particular. The big unknown for me is how the Alt market will perform in the new year!
