Hi,

i don't want to hear about specific coins!

I just want to hear you strategic ideas how to get a huge profit in the next 2-3 years.

What do you think would be best?

Gamble all in in one cryptocurrency.  Imagine if you did it with Ethereum or Monero when they were under 5 USD.  Those people who did are millionaires today.

I was gonna try doing it with XMR's little brother Aeon and accumulate 20k Aeons, but no couldn't do it.  I prefer the strategy that has been working for me, trend following.  It's slow but I'm still up overall.

Well 5000$ is really a good amount try to invest it in something very unique, Try to invest your coins in Ethereum I believe that It will go up someday but it will be risky and it will take time so you will need patience.

Are you only looking for Crypto investments?
If not you can invest in some physical things like property and you can buy some shares 5000$ is enough .

Hold 30% in BTC/ 50% in longterm alts/ 20% for daytrading if you only have 5k imo

What are your plans? Trading coins is the best for profiting but you need a strategy for that. Also buying bitcoin is the best and hodling it for at least 3 years.

Read about the projects, choose the best and invest. No one knows what (price will be) in the future.

you can choose three things to find huge profits.
1. you can invest in ICO
2. you can trade
3. You can do bitcoin holding.

or you can do all three by dividing the capital you have.

my strategy is to holding as much of coin as i can for the next 2-3 years from now and i think i will buy more coins to add more amount in my wallet. but i think if we want to take a huge profit in the next 2-3 years, we need to save all of the coins amount in private wallet like multi wallet so we don't have to check the exchanges in every day. beside that if we save it in exchanges, there is no guarantee that our account can be safe for 2-3 years and even that exchanges will still online or not.

Just try to participate in the very promising project and try to keep your coin or token for the longterm investment. I hold some promising token just like zrx and omisego and i have bought them all at the ico sale.
I got a lot of return especially for omisego the next will be crypterium.

- I do not only want to double it i want at least $25.000 so i think a little more risk may be involved, or you think we get 5x with big coins?
- Buying BTC doesn't seem a good idea in the moment, but i am not sure. Maybe buying when others are selling is the best idea.

Make an investment plan for yourself and apply it immediately. This will make you be controlling your portfolio.

You should be involved in ICO projects or be able to invest in newly developed altcoin because I am sure in 2018 all the altcoin you are investing will continue to increase as the cryptocurrency market is trending of new investors in the future

There is no best strategy to execute, if it existed lot of people would use it and it wouldn't be so special. By that I mean watch markets and develop your own strategy. There are billion different coins.
Only great strategy is actually as one guy told here is gambling all in one coin. Hit or miss.

1000 for etc, ltc and dash? This person try to get rich with 5000 and you suggest top 5-10 to him. It seems you want that person to wait more than 5 years.

You should invest in strong and promising projects! Always look whos behind the project and what there usecase is. A gret team with active devs and a strong community is always a good sign :)

how to get rich with it is by investing to a newly reborn project or an ICOs,
because only them can do something to you and make you rich in 2 years or 3 years.
if you're joining a sucessfull project,you can double your money in just 1~2 months,
but if you're unlucky enough you will lose it all,

Best thing is not to get into the moon and lambo stories. Keep your feet on the ground and do your own research before investing. That way you won't waste your money on bad projects

Have to agree here. Very undervalued privacy coin here with the potential to become the next Monero.

You can make yourself a coin basket like the one below. I assumed you have $5,000 at the beginning.

Reserve $3,000 for bitcoin holdings. It will be huge next years.

Reserve also $1,000 for ethereum holdings, it will be huge too.

Take $1,000 for altcoin trade and ICO participation. The point here is to sell the coins you made profit. You don't need to hold them if you already made profit with them.

Diversify and don't bet it all on one horse, no matter how good the project looks.

We should know how to invest well pur money, investing it in one project will not be reliable ,many ico failed even they seem to good, we should analyze project well as well their demand in future.

Not a bad choice but lately it is too risky to invest in an ico due to many regulations being set against it and the nature of it , i used to be a hardcore ico investor but recent times have show and made me realise it can get way more riskier at times.

I think the best strategy, is to compound your ICO profit, I have not seen any ICO project that fail to hit 2x in short mid term, and the recent boom in ICO as giving us opportunity to cherry pick good projects at discount recently

How much money makes me or you rich? First always diversify your portfolio and try to choose legit coins even if you trade.

I'd like my portfolio to be split like this some day. Right now I'm waiting on long term capital gains tax to rebalance because my allocation is like 80% ETH due to being a noob last winter.

39% allocated to BTC and ETH

29% allocated to low risk coins, IOTA, XMR, LTC and so on.

19% allocated to mid risk solid projects, GNT, FCT, DCR, etc.

9% allocated to high risk cryptos like aragon and distric0x

4% allocated to complete moonshots like new icos or sub 200 ranked coins.

Good diversification will make you rich in a reasonable amount of time without risking everything.

What do you want to do, invest or trade?
If you want to invest choose 3-4 altcoins which you think they will increase its value in next 2-3 years. If you want to trade then pay attention to market - not coin, buy on dips and sell when you reach few % of profit, don't be greedy, don't buy on pumps and do lots of reading about trading before you even consider doing it.

Since it's difficult to pinpoint down a specific token that will make you rich, the best strategy you can do is considering all the possible positive things that you would expect from a project and try to find them in one. What this means is that you should do your due diligence about each coin, and not listen only to some random forum members suggesting you anything that they are holding themselves (which they might be holding because they heard someone else holds them, etc. etc.) it's a never ending cycle, which is why you have to be open about all the coins and their potential. If there is a market for the coin there is probably demand for it as well, there are already so many industries benefiting from the blockchain technology and there will be so many more that will benefit form it in the future.

The best strategy to get rich are taking risks in investing coins. Why not invest in 2-3 coins that worth it, dont invest in just only one like waves. Though waves is one of my best investment. But choosing 2-3 coins or more will definitely gave you huge profit.

My plan is give 50% for longterm coin like Ethereum, 25% in shorter investment like Waves ( 3-4 months ) and 25% for fast profit coins

This is a very sensible portfolio balance.

Index funds should always beat individual coins, so try a basket of the top 5, top 10, with a couple of outliers.

Look for projects with actual value and a hard working dev team and a working product between 200-300 on the coinmarketcap.
There you will find coins that could potentially 100x or more.

The main thing is to keep a minimum of 50% in BITCOIN. because alto can grow for years. And your BITCOIN will be frozen. Now often drawdowns occur on which you need to buy and how to buy if everything is in the violas. This is the error of many. But after a strong fall, usually the price for the week is 50% wins.

I have never though too much about the specific coins in the past. I think the coins which can bring good profits in the next few years are bitcoin and ethereum.

The best strategy in my opinion. Look at the recently added coins at coinmarketcap. Check the project, team and roadmap. Then get some informations about the project from outstanding plattforms. Some of the projects are already copy projects but perhaps this projects got better features and ideas then from the other competitors. I also check always the activity of the team by twitter or facebook. My strategy is to place my invests before the project
might be at the top 50 of coins.

But what is the definition of getting "rich" with $5000? I think this amount was still ok at the beginning of the year.. coins like NEO = 0,30 $. But at this time you should need to put more money to get "rich".

Invest in the best 3 coins which plan for future offers the most confident possibilities to improve their amount of users which will go together with price and offers you earnings.

Never forget about waves, for me this coin will get huge pump in near future and will grow for whole time since this big pump.

I think it's a great idea if you have money... I would go... but it's in Singapour and tickets for the conference are expensive for me

$ 5000 is a pretty big amount. You can buy almost 1 bitcoin with that money. If you buy bitcoin you can exchange with other altcoin for profit or you can also invest in ICO. These are ways you can refer.

Right now, lending platforms seem to be hot. I invested in BitSerial and it's 600% of ICO price right now and was even higher.

My strategy would be something like this:

1. Stay away from ICOs. It's too dangerous to invest there as there are too many scams out there.

2. Look at the more developed coins with a low market cap below $50.000.000 because you want "big profit" and therefore need the high groth potential in market cap (but more than $20.000.000 to avoid shitcoins and pump&dump).

2a.From these coins look at the coins with a strong community, an active development and a plan. Coins that offer a solution for anything. Something amazing. If they are shortly before launching a working product (e.g. like Verge, Ardor or Electroneum) and it is highly possible that more exchanges will list these coins, then invest.

3. Invest in at least 5 different coins ($1000 for each coin).

At the last cycle in march june july i made nearly 30k from my 5k investment...now its a great time to buy alts and hold till you got at least a x5-x10...sell portions the way up and think good about reinvesting...but when we get another cycle started its easy money...just think good about your exit strategy...this time i will go safe...a little less profits but my btc safe...and then hold btc till it will top...sell and rebuy the dip...sounds easy but it isnt...nobody can predict this markets...so beware and always think twice! but never buy in too late...many coins had their bottom but still at a good price now...look for example at digibytes...now arround 140sat...last ath was 2550sat or something! imagine a bigger marketcap...so maybe also a bigger top next time...but it is high risk gambling...but i am in!

trading with altcoin is so good with starting from $ 5000. it's a lot, but I guess it can make you make a profit in large numbers. well, many people are trading with bigger capital, and really succeed.

I don't think investing in networking is a good idea. We all know that mostly of the networking are scam, they just promises with a good profit but will turn out to run your money. I would suggest to stay away and save yourself.
Just invest in crypto currency and diversity it equally and decide if you want to go trading or just hold it.

The chances of multplying your capital are greatly increase if you invest in ICO's. I know the suggestion might have been flown around for a while, but ICO's are basically offering you coins at the best possible price (most of the cases) if one of those ICO's will be very successfull you will multiply your capital by a lot and it will pay off (even if some of the projects won't make it). The tricky part of course if finding the project that is worth investing and checking out the team and whitepaper and everything else relevant. Only after you have looked into everything very carefully and understood how the business works and intents to make money, only then invest your money in it. Not all of your ICO's will succeed, but they don't have to, as long as you succeed in one of them you'll be a rich man.

Maybe the best choice is investing this amount (5000$) in many promising altcoins and some ICOs with good potetnial to success. Diversifying the investments will minimize the risks and make the investment more safe, and this way you will make profit most likely.

Theres no safe when it comes to investment even on putting up money on waves doesnt guarantee you to make you rich in the future but well its possible but depending on the project if it would progress or not since there is only 2 outcome which is profit and loss of money.
