Title: Path derivation in MEW Post by: yourcatsofat on November 11, 2017, 06:41:01 PM Guys, I am very confused. As I know TREZOR uses BIP32 and BIP44 standards. So I want to find out the next. BIP32 has the next levels path m / purpose' / coin_type' / account' / change / address_index So if I choose m/44'60/0/0/1 it must generate 1 address for me. Am I right? Why does MEW generate a pool of addresses for every index starting from 0? And what will be in the future if I use m/44'60/0/0/1, m/44'60/0/0/2 and m/44'60/0/0/3 paths now? Can I restore my addresses if wallets will not support custom paths?
