Do you see a pump and dump happening in BCH right now? or is it really taking over Bitcoin? How do you think will it affect other coins when BCH successfully replaced BTC as the top cryptocurrency

In terms of volume in the last 24 hours, bitcoin cash is leading the way with around 1 billion dollars in volume. Most of this comes from the South Korean exchange Bithumb. However, it is still a long way from claiming to be the #1 bitcoin there is.

At the end of the day, this is hyped up pumping. Mostly greed of investors that is pushing price up.

Similar scenario with ETH back in June when it peaked, it was like 60-70% of bitcoin's totla market cap and people said that it would overtake BTC. BTC will always remain as #1 in my opinion.

It will never happen. Bitcoin is the king. Bitcoincash is pumping because of some news and whales out there. Also because of the fork tomorrow. It will never happen that Bitcoin cash will take over BTC. Trust me. I trust Bitcoin all the way.

The pump was impressive. I don't think BCH will replace BTC. Because people prefer BTC. BCH is only for speculators. But maybe next time it will go to 5000 USD? Now, i think BCH will fall very fast.

BTC is the first decentralized digital currency so it is impossible For take over.

Once difficulty adjustments kicks in, the show will be over. How high you pump considering the it is fundamentally unwarranted the harder it dumps. However, its course may continue for few more days. It has been educational.

I think it's only a pump and dump. It will rally down sooner or later. Though I saw a post that it already has gone down a lot. I'm not following much of it as I'm currently not holding both BTC and BCH.

Nothing is impossible. It really depends on whether all the service providers like Bitpay enable bitcoincash.

If the number of transactions per 24 hours on bitcoincash ever exceeds bitcoin, it's the beginning of the end for bitcoin.

BitCoin cash is not going to take over bitcoin. This is just a temporary pump and big money is exiting bcc imo. After this dip of bitcoin it will come out even stronger than before.

I do not think it will happen mate, you can only earn good porfit in the price increase of BCH but it doesnt mean that BCH will replace bitcoin in the top of crypto currency. Bitcoin has more investor that altcoin even the value it very expensive people are continue to used and invest in bitcoin because it is like a fiat that we can used to purchase some goods.

Honestly I don't really think Bitcoin Cash will ever take over Bitcoin. First of all, without Bitcoin this alternate coin Bitcoin Cash wouldn't have existed in the first place. And Bitcoin Cash depends on Bitcoin as well, if Bitcoins price increases as far as I've noticed Bitcoin Cash goes down as well.

There is unlikely to happen. Bitcoin Cash is just a hype that raises prices because of so-called whales that invest in it. And it is likely that it will fall when the whales have already taken his or her wishes. So let's avoid being part of the BCC because you're definitely losing it. The BCC has fallen as well and has already panic selling many people claiming to be able to sell and do not overtake the collapse

Nothing can replace BTC. The community behind BTC is strong. Bitcoin cash is an attemp for some organisations to destabilize the true Bitcoin. So i hope the true nature of decentralized cryptocurency (the Bitcoin) will stay the king

I dont think bitcoin cash will replace bitcoin in the top of the market because of the investors because many of them prefer to invest in bitcoin, but we cant take for granted the bitcoin cash because of its potential in the market for me any of these coins is potenial for investing our money and it all worth it when time comes.

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash will co-exist and probably serve different purpose. Bitcoin may continue to be a reserve of value like Gold while Bitcoin Cash grows to be used as a reserve of value, as cash, also with a possibility of smart contract.

Only time will tell who wins this battle.

Ethereum is not claiming to be Bitcoin while bcash is, they are leeching off the brand of Bitcoin and spreading confusion among unsuspecting/uninformed investors. What bcash claims to do, is already being done on some other projectaltcoin and it's way better. They're fundamental proposition is inconclusive.

I'm hoping it doesn't take over bitcoin. I'd like to just stick with one of these and move forward. At least I took some nice profits from BCH yesterday though!

Never in my wildest dreams. I don't believe that BCH can take over BTC. What is currently happening can be considered as conivance between miners and certain exchanges. Though there are some who are panicking right now with what is happening with btc I'm sure all of this will come to an end. For now, it is good for alts with what btc's decrease. People aare turning to alts but for sure everything will be back to how things are so I'll stay put and watch where this commotion lead.

Yes. I see a big pump in BCH price value and dump in BTC price value. As of now the price of BCH is raising up, however i dont think it would take over Bitcoin and replace it. Other coins' growth would somewhat get affected when either BCH or BTC being on top of all currencies.  This is common in the market.

no it's not. absolutely nothing like that. what they're doing right now is making fun of us. there is no other reason why a coin that does not work at all, or even what it is used for, is so inflated. we need to do this phase again to wait. the fork is over, but they may be trying to inflate the bitcoin cash and capture people's money until they find something similar to them instead. we have to be careful.

It can dream all it wants. At least Ethereum, when they wanted the flippening so badly, had found its use in crypto and blockchain. I'm not an ETH supporter by any chance, but got to give them a lot of credit for building something for enterprises, beyond being a simple competing cryptocurrency. What does Bitcoin Cash have that other alts don't in much more abundance? Quick and cheap transactions? Even Dogecoin does a better job at that.

I think it never be possible. Bitcoin cash has pumped because of bitcoin fork was failed. And now, you can check, bitcoin cash is dumping. And many trade, crypto experts are thinking that bitcoin will reach 10k in the coming year. So, don't worry dear.

Remember that there are lots of bitcoincash locked up in Coinbase and they won't be distributing them till January. It's likely that this will cause a dump in the BCH price when that happens.

Their sales are ongoing and won't be finished till December. So there is plenty of downward pressure on the coin, as well as upward pressure.

Fast hardfork of Bitcoin cash chains was due to external power and the pumping of the price. It will be finished when Bitcoin will be removed from the TOP of cryptomarket. I am sure this is determined policy against BTC.

The current hype about bitcoin cash will most probably end soon. The volume of bitcoin cash has increased upto 2 billion dollars from what I have heard recently and most of them is coming from the south korean region. But bitcoin cash or any other coin has a long way to reach upto bitcoin.

1st january they will be a huge dump by coinbase because BCH will be available for their customer. It's a strange move from US exchange. Does they support Bitcoin cash ? BCH can't take over the place of Bitcoin right now, we all know it. BCH pump is just an ordinary pump, so there is no other feature. The BCH will be a altcoin. At least this is what the BCH means for me.

Dont get caught yourself on the hype and talking about BCH overtaking BTC is an impossible thing and have you seen the recent price of BCH? It is settled down already and now the people are already going back to BTC as of now which you can see for yourself regarding on their price movements when you do tried up to look into their charts and compare them.

I think BCC/H is a pump and dump but not in the traditional sense, I expect the price to stabilise about 1k usd. I do not think it will replace BTC, the two can co-exist and BTC will regain some dominance once a scalability solution is found and agreed on.

I think it's hard for BCC to replace BTC, simply because btc is the first and the most powerful coin at the moment. Hype of BCC will gone soon, I believe. But hype of BTC? It will always remain. Also BCC is falling right now, the hype is disappearing I think :D

There was a long period of stable, low pricing that allowed whales to accumulate on the DL. The sales pitch by the whales is the same in the wake of Segwit2x: 1) if approved, it signals that BCH is part of the future, and 2) if failed, BCH is the future. Either way, there would be a run, and gazillions of $ to be made.

My guess is it won't in the short term but long term core does need to step up it's game because it's starting to rot on the inside.

Cant say anything right now. In the near future may be bitcoincash can overtake bitcoin. Its mainly because the transaction fees of bitcoincash is really very less and I think in future people will prefer bitcoin cash for small transactions. Definitely we cant use bitcoin for small transactions like 10 dollars etc because of its high fees. So may be in future bitcoincash may overtake bitcoins.

I don't think it will be happened. The reason why bch went so crazy in this several days is because some people who wants the bch to be increased so they can make big profit easily. Soon, the bch will dump seriously. Also, I am still optimistic for BTC.

Personally I feel it will be a while before bitcoin cash can take over bitcoin as the number 1 cryptocurrency.
News and speculations always have a way of creating a mirage in this crypto world. But generally bitcoin is still far more acceptable than bitcoin cash. Even though some sites online are starting to come around and include BCH as an accepted payment form.

The price of BCH increased a lot in a short time but that was because it has very promoted everywhere, especially on social media and a lot of miners moved from bitcoin to bitcoin cash. The price rapidly increased but is was something temporary just because a lot of people invested in a short time a big amount of money. As we can see on charts, the price decreases everyday with 5% so it is going down to the original price of 600$-700$. There is no way BCH can take over BTC

I see manipulation happening in BCH and because of it, Bitcoin Cash would not be taking over bitcoin. Also, I see that the current spam attack on block chain somehow is related with it. If ever it would, I think it would not affect other coins that much but it is a waste of time thinking about it because the chance of it happening is very low. I think that ETH is better than BCH even if it had surpassed it in price. At least ETH admin does not try to manipulate bitcoin to hype their coin.

I think both prices have stagnated for now, let's see if theres any huge movement in the next weekend. If it doesn't then i guess it's safe to say the coins landed on their true market price, atleast for now. About the future, no one can tell... Both chains still need to show they can scale properly for the long run.

I did saw the pump of bitcoin cash but you keep on telling that it will take over bitcoin. There's no way that an alt coin will be replace and taking over the spot of bitcoin. Bitcoin and other coins are affected through the higher price of bitcoin cash but I don't really think that it will be successfully getting to the spot of bitcoin so don't think that it will ever be replacing BTC as the top currency.

Not anytime for the next two years, anyway. It is a huge setback for BCH. But it is a market, and maybe after two years it might recover.

It will affect other coins really bad when BCH will pump... Because people will still hodl their money in bitcoin and rest in spite of investing in alts will send into that project(BCH). The new information said may next year it may happen, but so far bitcoin is still unimpressed.

When Segwit failed many in the industry saw the writing on the wall, which is that Bitcoin cannot scale in its current form, and there are no plans in place to make it scalable for true global usage. Bitcoin Cash is theoretically a better alternative, but since like bitcoin the mining is so centralized, I don't foresee this being the dominant coin in the far future. I'm still looking for a real option out there. If Ethereum could release user friendly wallets that had actual safety features it would have the chance to dominate, but unfortunately it is not user friendly at all. I would have to say that Dash is currently the best option.

It's all over, IMO because it was only the time when investors pour in their money to BCH when segwit2x was cancelled giving BCH a pump that causes a dip to BTC's market value. But that doesn't mean it will took over BTC's place since we know how stable and how dominant BTC is for a long time.

Imagine if BCH from 1-2 years from now and how they can easily take away hashpower directly from btc's network,  Only thing btc has to rely on now is segwit,  Better hope it comes soon.
