Title: Will BTC go back to 7k+?
Post by: MultiBill on November 12, 2017, 07:43:06 AM
Hi,

i did massive project and got talked into getting paid 100k in BTC when it was at 7,7k rate. By the time i received it on my account it was much lower, and its 5,5k now.

I need to make a decision, should i sell them now to get something or wait and loose most of it or is there a good chance BTC will recover?

I am not a BTC trader so don't know anything about this world but losing that much money makes me cry :/

Or should i change it to some other crypto that expects to be rising soon to recover those losses?

What would you do if you got 100k in 7,7k BTC rate and you have it at 5,5k rate now??

Thanks for helping me deciding this!

This is a hard time for bitcoin, the probability of bitcoin raising again and even hitting $8K before the end of this year  from my prediction is  95%. I observe that the drop in the price of bitcoin is as a result of the panic from the negative news about bitcoin have made some investor to pull out. Now the price have dropped some more investor will come in which will push up the price again. But in other not to loos all you might exchange amount of your bitcoin to other raising coin while you observe the movement in the price.

probably!
Look at bitcoin price around 1 hour from my comment. You can easily see that btc price has gone up very fast (from 5k4$ to 6k$ in just 1 hour) and followed by decreased dramatically of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) (from 0.39 btc to 0.21 btc at the time I write this). That a very good signal for the coming back of the King  ;D ;D. And I think that, after BCH segwit (tomorow), everything will be back to its "orbit". And ofcourse, BTC price will rocket to 7k+$ again, and even more (10k$ maybe. lol)

I doubt you're telling the truth about your "massive project", OP. Bitcoin was at $7700 only for a short time (less than an hour). $7300-7500 was the highest point it reached for a considerable time. So either you failed miserably negotiating a fair price or you are only trying to increase your post count.

To answer anyway: Yes, I believe it will cross $7000 again. I don't know if its' this year, but I'm sure it will do so until 2019. $5500 could also be only a dip, due to heavy BTC/BCH speculation.

(And this thread belongs into the "Speculation" forum.)

Today was certainly a rollercoaster of emotion for all BTC and BCH investors, but I think it's pretty clear that BTC is going to win out and continue to grow. Even since the time of your post BTC is back up to ~$6.3k, and I think it will continue to go back up though perhaps not as quickly as the past couple weeks.

When in doubt, hodl :)

Something with as much infrastructure as bitcoin can't just die out completely, I reckon.

+1 for him not being honest.

As for BTC/BCH, IMHO, this situation will ruin both chain permanently and bring us expected massive correction in BTC value, regardless of winning chain.

I think you should keep it. When you post this topic, less than an hour ago the btc price is 5k5, but now more than 6k. You can easily see the btc price is very fast. So I advise you ought to keep it, I think the btc price will increase again soon and $ 7k7 is no longer a problem.

Sure it will go back to $7000 in a week or less so don't have to worry about the price because the price fluction in bitcoin is high but the bitcoin will recover from its loss very soon. You mentioned the price is $5500 I already can see a the price reached $ 6000 in very short time from the time you posted this post.

I think at this point, you have to consider your own risk and affordability. If this 100K is a savings, then you can continue to hold, if this 100K is part of the money needed for life, then now this position has been sold part. It's just my own advice.

If I were you I would definitely hold back. If btc is 5k5, then you have 2k2 loss for a btc and you own 100k BTC, then the amount is really much. So if you sell it then you will not have the chance to get it back. I think btc prices will rise again but 7k7 is not low so maybe you need to wait a while.

It's not hard for bitcoin to rise again after the pump for Bitcoin cash. Just be patient and hodl your coins it will be back soon after the dumps of Bitcoin cash everything would be normal like last month. I would recommend buying some Bitcoins due to the low price.

I'm sure bitcoin will go up, previously rising from $ 4000 to $ 7000 and I see just down now. as usual bitcoin will be correction if too long rise. but I'm sure if bitcoin will be more than the highest price after this, many people know and buy bitcoin. caused higher bitcoin demand, very reasonable if now the bitcoin price drops. but hopefully with dropped bitcoin price it will make altcoin prices can rise...

This fluctuation is harsh because i heard that miners are going to support bch, but i dont know if it is 100% confirmed or not, or just some news that people made to make some price fluctuate because the coin holder panicking and selling their coin.
For me, this fluctuation is normal, every investment has this, and there is no way bitcoin will always rise, there must be a time that bitcoin will decrease in price and then rise again.
Will it back to 7k? I dont know, but bitcoin price went from 0 usd to 7k usd, do you think it wont rise again? In my opinion, bitcoin has a big chance to do it.
When the price is right for you, i suggest you take your bitcoin to fiat money and just store some that you can afford to lose as bitcoin, because it will make you less worry about losing an assets.

Do you remember when Bitcoin was gone above 3k+$ and then fall back to 1800$ and here we are when its value is more than 7k+$. It will be more than 10k+$ by the end of this year.

It is obvious that history is just repeating itself as regards the price of bitcoin, this is not the first time the price will dropped, recalled when there was clamped down on exchanges by the Chinese government the price bitcoin dropped even below $4k there was panick sales before it rises up again, the same scenerio is repeating itself due to the cancellation of SegWit2x of course fees days to come the price of bitcoin will rise again.

I couldn't agree more, history is just repeating itself and just like it has been in previous cases bitcoin is likely to recover and return to its former rate or even grow pakst it in the coming weeks after this dip in value. The new BCH  supporters can go ahead and console themselves before their crash.

I'm so skeptical that we can close this year with at least $9000 like the price will definitely bounce back after this so called drama of bitcoin cash. The hype is almost done and many surely profited especially the big whales and it's time now to bch to take a rest.

So is better to hold bitcoin, and sell it when price is higher

The price daily is dropping and now it has dropped below 6100$ . I think if it breaks 6k , then soon we may see 5k in coming time and people have already started to sell in the panic case and thus due to which the price is rapidly falling. Will need to see what will drive now towards 7k mark

Yes it will and this will be before the end of the year. This is what is always faced in the crypto market, where there is always fluctuation in the price of bitcoin, and when you sell at dip, you loss or might not get a high profit as expected, but when you hold and wait for the rise again, you'll enjoy your patience.

Yes, investors of bitcoin and bitcoincash are the reasons why there is a change in value of both. I'm not doubting the capability of the bitcoin and i think that it will go back to it's continuous growth, maybe not now but soon.

Yes and we already saw that price in last week and now price has dropped but if you hold your coins till the end of the year then you will be witnessing much higher price by that time and everyone is expecting to see the price of $8k or higher at the end of the year or in the beginning of next year so holding bitcoins till that time is the best thing to do to earn higher profits on your investments.

I don't think it's clear bitcoin will win out at all.

The big development this year is merchants offering alts because of problems with bitcoin's fees. For example Overstock opened up buying stuff from them using alts (before that they only offered bitcoin). Coinbase enabled Ethereum and Litecoin in their wallet. Bitpay is thinking about enabling bitcoincash.

The trend is for the infrastructure to include alts because bitcoin is becoming unreliable.

Yes, it will go again back to 7000$, in fact I think it will cross the 8000$ at the end of this year. This correction now is a result of miners acting towards bitcoin cash but this will not last for long and things will go back to track. But we need some kind agreement within the community to avoid the conflict situation that we are having now in the future.

There is a lot of uncertainty right now, but my gut feel is that Bitcoin will recover to $7000+ within the end of this year. A lot of people might be hedging their bets between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, but I feel there is sufficient room for both to grow.

Well i think that it is hard to get back to $7000 and i think that bitcoins are going to drop some more as it had a deep impact because Segwit2x was cancelled so bitcoins may not reach $7000.You have to wait as bitcoins will increase again soon. The pump of bitcoin cash and miners going to bitcoin cash is temporary things as soon as that stops bitcoin will rise.

It’s inevitable that Bitcoin will get back to $7000, the question is when. I think it will easily be before the end of the year. We’ve seen this year that when there is a price drop, Bitcoin is quick to recover and reach a new high. I think that will be the case this time too. The potential Segwit2x brought in investors that wanted both coins, now with Segwit2x cancelled, they are shifting money to BCH instead.

We all know that Bitcoin is highly volatile, we can never tell whether it will take another dip anytime soon or will have a long bull run. It is important for us to know and understand that there are a lot of factors affecting the price of Bitcoin, we should also take in to consideration the international news, since a lot that is going on, may affect the value of Bitcoin, but as far as what is happening now, if the good news still continues, bitcoin's price will definitely go up.

Bitcoin already reached a price high enough to allow you to withdraw with a small profit so if you want your money, right now is the chance to withdraw and enjoy your money, now if what you want to do is to invest there is no point to sell now if you plan to hold for a long time.

No matter the dip in price of bitcoin, it recovers itself and stabilise again in the price. There always comes dips in the price of bitcoin, but if you hold and be patient, you will get back your profit.

If you see the price of bitcoin is already 7800 dollars and for sure the price will become 8k dollars again so buy more bitcoin with your extra money and for that your money will grow. I think if you bought bitcoin when you started this topic for sure you will earn a lot of profit. Because once bitcoin price decrease it will recover again after few days for sure.

I don’t understand why people are worried about the decrease in the prices of bitcoin. It is common for bitcoin to decrease in value when it is supposed to create a new history or there is some segwit. Bitcoin is going o return to its previous prices by the end of this year rather will easily achieve the target of 7000 dollars and more. It is definitely going to make our 2017 end with sweet memories.

I belive that it is still possible knowing that Bitcoin is still volatile. There's still a chance that its price will fall to 7000$ especially if something wrong would happen that won't be in favor with Bitcoin just like what happened recently with regards to the segwit2x this month. But hopefully it won't fall that hard and will be more expensive for a long run.

Best thing is have patience,  we all know bitcoin have the ability to rebound in price and best is setting new ATH after the rebound which actually happen recently.  I would say if you are in need of the money, you can spend parts of it and wait for the other part to be sold at your target price.  I think that is the best thing to do.

Most probably it will go back to $7000 this month btc/usd price as of this moment plays from$6050.49 every second matter in its price..who knows it would reach your target by tomorrow, just keep on waiting and believing that it fluctuates.Dont go panic selling as other holder did, this would cause the dropping value of bitcoin.
It will recover it may not be now or maybe less than a week but i believe it will, just wait and have patience.
People worry because they make bad trades and then they want the market to fix their mistakes, if someone bought bitcoin a few months ago do you think that person is worried, of course not, I’m not a trader but a holder and I’m no worried at all about the price of bitcoin.

I'm curious on what happened to your btc's multibill, you didn't replied to this thread. You should be celebrating now if you didn't sold at $5,500 and just waited for the price to be calm. It's now at $8,200 and I don't know on how much would be your $100,000 investment now. Don't tell us that you did sold at $5,500 just to cut your losses crypto isn't like that you will donate your whole year salary.

If there is no hard fork in this month, price of Bitcoin will be decreased back to 7k$ soon. Hard fork is the situation to boosting the price .

Nope, even the fork was canceled the price of bitcoin keeps going high. Well the bitcoin price was go down for 1 week after that announced about hardfork cancelled but after that the bitcoin price  bounce back to the top and the price even reach $8,100 right now!

The present price already improved that Bitcoin easily to reach new goals in the future. 7k+ isn't a problem with it anymore, now the only problem is there will be how much forks next, We all know forks are the best way to bump the price of Bitcoin.

You are being too pessimistic, without even having a good argument or sources to cite that Bitcoin could possibly go back to $7K. If you will look closely to some online Bitcoin price chart, you will see that Bitcoin is still moving up which means Bitcoin is currently rallying up, the possibilities of dip is just because of casual selling of Bitcoin, and no more reasons, Well if stupid Bitcoin hodlers  who got easily swayed by FUD articles by James and other Businessmen and Industry giants then that might be another reason.

as it were, it was easy. because at the moment, bitcoin prices are so close to the $ 7000 price tag. not impossible bitcoin prices down like that. but, I feel that not for now. probably, until the end of the year, bitcoin prices will continue to rise.

surely it can hit $7.000 again, let something wrong happen and support won't stay strong as it seems then $5.000 is even possible again in near future (this year) but if nothing happens and fomo still continues we might never ever see 7k price again. Nobody can 100% forecast that

There is no denying that bitcoin make a tremendous increase in price since last weekend and it currently strong at the $8100 price range which shows that the price per bitcoin will reach $10K anytime soon. But I see some dip happening this coming weekend before bitcoin could reach another ATH.

I am also feeling bitcoin's strength this time, it is freezed at $8100 price range since a couple of days.
Therefore, bitcoin can reach $10k anytime. So in my opinion, it is not right time for short term investors.
However, long-term investors have still probability of decent profits by investing now before it heads to $10k

I like this period of relative peace. Bitcoin stabilized and is now possible to predict your profit. Maybe you'd think I was abnormal but I don't want bitcoin have been rising steadily in price. I think that everything that we earned, now we will lose then. Because of this situation, with bitcoin we see that many companies are increasingly looking in the direction of the dollar. Everyone is interested in stability.

Enjoy it while it lasts because bitcoin will not remain in this state indefinitely, as you say more people and business are looking at bitcoin and the more people are interested in bitcoin the bigger the demand and we already know what happens then right, the price goes up.

Bitcoin already reached a price high enough to allow you to withdraw with a small profit so if you want your money, right now is the chance to withdraw and enjoy your money, now if what you want to do is to invest there is no point to sell now if you plan to hold for a long time.

Exactly. You can already sell your coins if you want a small profit, but most of the investors are waiting for Bitcoin to rise even higher. It would be very foolish to sell them now. While you can have more.

Hold it longer and you will see a good profit from Bitcoin. If you have the patience of course.

All the things may be possible in bitcoin, it can be lower at $5k or it will rise $10k before this year was end. For me if you already see profit in your investment it is good to sell your bitcoin for secured income.

And i do not like you to invest all your saving in bitcoin just only invest the amount that you can afford to lose. Dont risk it all, we do not know what will happen in bitcoin tomorrow, other day, next month or nex year that is why be wise on investing money.

Though we definitely amazed of the continuously fast increase of bitcoin and it is now reaching $8k but we can certainly deny that, it could be possible that it goes back to $7k anytime. But it couldn't  go down lower that $6, hopefully it wont.

Because the most commonly reason of bitcoin price inflation is the creation of segwit2x. As we remember, after the cancellation of hardfork bicoin price goes down but after a few days it will back to its trend again. And now, bitcoin price go higher that everyone never expected as it only happens in few days event.

Definitely, bitcoin can drop again in $7,000 because we are just in $8,400 so basically if bitcoin still increasing their price until it goes in $10,000 i don't probably think if bitcoin will still drop again in $7,000 or maybe $8,000 because bitcoin have a strong volatiel thay can't even break

I thought this thread about bitcoin will be drop back to $7K, but it turned out the opposite.
Bitcoin has been proven could recover faster within weeks, current price continues to rise over $8400.
It indicates bitcoin gain more value, new adopters and investors join into crypto-community.
There is no loss if you invest or get payment in bitcoin, as long as you can wait until the right time to cash out.

Yes the value of btc now increase again and this is the right time for op to sell his coins if he is worried for his money to decrease again.

But if i were you, i will leave maybe 20-30% of my money in btc and hold it for long term because investing in btc is profitable its proven by many users although it takes also guts because the ride is not always what you expected it to be.

Now the price has been getting near to $8500. Maybe this price increase will continue orelse it might show a price drop that might go low to $8000 staying $7000+ and then bumps high to reach $10000 or higher value that has been expected long back itself.

Bitcoin is unpredictable and full of surprises and anything is possible in future but right now I don't think there is anything to worry as bitcoin is moving upward since long time and even now price is getting higher slowly and steadily so it would be good decision to hold your coins at least for the next month as if you sell now then you will miss an opportunity of making higher profits in the end of the year which may show us price of $10k or even higher.

I believe that when it i time for a correction we will see it go back to 5k or 6k. Maybe even less. Like we saw when the price was 4500 and went back to under 3k.

That's right. There are so many market trends and movements that keeps on affecting the value and price point of bitcoin. I am surprised though that it has kept a steady rise in value of varying amounts which means that it keeps gaining strength in the market, for it can easily adjust.

I do not think it's possible, as we know that bitcoin prices have now reached $ 10,000 and it will be difficult if it drops to $ 7000 or 30%, instead the price will continue to rise as the number of users continues to increase.
