Its true people are buying into Bitcoin Cash but if the information on CoinMarketCap is correct, its dominated by KRW indicating new money, its not so heavily USD or BTC.  Bitcoin is not being sold off into Bitcoin Cash so much.  No reason not to live in parallel, like so many other crypto have done.

I don't think that BCH can beat the original BTC, is only a temporary situation.
I think that at the end of the year, the price of BTC return to $7-8k and the price BCH back to $500

The chaos that is created a moment ago by BCH has already stopped. Now, BCH is going to be dumped again and BTC is slowly gaining its momentum back...

There is no such thing as replacing.

Bitcoins are just facing a temporary problem because of cancellation of segwit2x and soon enough CME and other compaines are going to invest in bitcoins after proper approval.

There is no need to hurry up and buy something else, remember this bitcoin cash is just like an alt coin .. thus you do need to support the main core chain and hold your bitcoins. Its the best for the whole bitcoin community for the long run.. just a little of patience will make sure the price of bitcoins hit higher than before.

Everyone needs to calm down. Market forces are always right and ultimately prices will go back to where supply/demand finds an equilibrium.

I will say though that the chaos caused only makes it more difficult for main stream adoption. People who dont understand what this all means are less likely yo involve themselves.

Obviously OP's 1st post has a ulterior motive, however we should all try and remember that our main goal here is for BTC to become mainstream.

Why does it always have to be an either-or?
BTC has its supporters, BCH has as well. Both can be mined so with both money can be made.
To me that means both are here to stay, none of them will stop existing or losing all its value.
I think we all should know the ups, downs and changes of market capitalizations by now because we have seen them several times.
Staying calm in times of rapid movements has always been a good advisor in the past.

This is so funny hahaha, looking at the comment from people who support bch and trying to make people change to bch, they are all newbie with very very low post counts and activity, even the topic starter only has 1 post.
People like this need to be shutted down, spreading some FUD even without the guts to show him/herself, and trying to make someone loses their money as they gain money. It is basically the same as scammer.
For people who enter this topic, and panicking about the future of bitcoin, i suggest you guys really need to calm down, dont trust some people words without making a research about it. Because some people sometimes dont care about you, they just want to gain.
There are so many coins that appear since bitcoin came, but no one capable of replacing bitcoin, why should we trust bch? And, im not going to buy bch, thanks.

Does that make me and most of my associates, as well as employers not part of the Bitcoin community? Bitcoin Cash may have taken three months of hype, fad, and Segwit2x suspension to double in price over night, but I haven't seen anyone dumping Bitcoins except for traders, speculators - people I wouldn't exactly have called part of the Bitcoin community anyway. I'm still getting paid in Bitcoin, I never bought a single Cashtoshi, and none of the people I work with have told me: hey we can only pay you in Bitcoin Cash.

150k unconfirmed? I've seen 220k. BTC hashpower is falling yes, but we've already established how miners are moving back and forth between Bitcoin and Altfork since August.

    Valutation of cryptocurrencies is fascinating. I think it is obvious though that the scaling concerns are overblown. Bitcoin at this point for most people is more of a store of value, so it doesn't really need to scale for daily transactions. Maybe someone will come up with a viable scaling solution, maybe not. Regardless, so much infrastructure is built on top of bitcoin that BCH is clearly overvalued and BTC undervalued.  

  If people genuinely want BCH to replace BTC they need to put a few years into building services for BCH and integrating it into existing services, not make newb accounts and hail the crashing of BTC.

Keep bitcoins and don't buy Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Core is still best cryptocurrency and I think Bitcoin Cash supporters are clearly against the spirit of Bitcoin, because there is only one true Bitcoin.

Sell your Bitcoin Cash and buy Bitcoin before it fails.

I think my opinion that BCH will not be change bitcoin. Bitcoin power is hundred time of BCH.

This is the first time i am inserting the link so tried all options.

I really can't see bitcoin cash overtaking bitcoin if people are worried then buy some bch. I still believe that there is a future in bitcoin but we will always see another coin trying to take its place.

Yes you can sell bitcoin and buy bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash will replace old bitcoin chain. This is not unique to crypto. Happens with all the asset classes - stocks, commodities, forex etc. But the point is for the market to be so strong that it is not overwhelmed by the notions of a few.

It still is a long way off, but Bitcoin is of no use to anybody if transactions are slow and expensive. Bitcoin needs to get its act together and implement scaling solutions - lightning network or something else quickly. Else its value will slowly be cannibalized by Bitcoin Cash.
