Post by: ktttn on June 20, 2013, 08:22:06 PM
A.Skin cells on my shirt.
B.Some record that claims I own a tree.
C.The ink from a pen I wrote with.
D. A silo of grain ten million miles away someone just sold me.
E. The mining rigs that pay to my address.
F.The Dollars in my bank.

If someone has more revealing criteria, let it be known.

Up to you.
Imo, personal things can be private, if they're encrypted well enough.

Whoever knows how to take, to defend, the thing, to him belongs property. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221404.0)  :)

Both should exist so that everyone can chose, but public and open is better and should outcompete private and isolated.

Lowercase a, Capital D & Capital F neck and neck!  Rootin' for lowercase a, but i know it ain't gonna happen.

Giving definitions might help you get results that make any sense.  Private and personal can mean many different things depending on context.  Such as with private.  Do you mean private as in private property or private as in secret.

Private can mean "kept from others."

I do indeed hope you enjoy your pancake.
It's a lot to expect, but i want you to define A-F as being either Uppercase, meaning private, or lowercase, meaning personal. A is obviously personal.

Let me do a little explanation on my choices, for funsies:

A: Skin cells - Personal, obv. They could be private, good luck enforcing it. :D
B: tree record - Personal, Public - It's a record that you own, but I think a record stating that you own it is vague enough to be public.
C: ink - I chose personal, which I now realize is probably wrong if it's not in your pen. Should be public.
D: Silo with Grain - Both - You own the silo, but it's contents should be private unless you show it off
E: Rigs - I think mining rigs that feed your account are not necessarily yours, and so they're not personal. Private? Under bitcoin rules, yes. Should we know who owns them? I'm not sure on that point.
F: Dollars - personal and private - For obvious reasons.
