Title: Which pools have moved their hash power from BTC to BCH/alts?
Post by: Amitabh S on November 12, 2017, 01:12:28 PM
BTC hashpower seems to have gone down with block rate of around 30 mins
Based on whats visible, ANTPool, BTC.com and VIABTC have been mining BCH blocks heavily and not so many BTC.

Which pools are putting their hash power away from BTC?

almost all of them have switched over to mining BCH for the short term profit that it is giving them before the difficulty shoots to the moon and they stop mining it.

according to cash.coin.dance/blocks these are the pools:
* ViaBTC
* BTC.com
* F2Pool
* AntPool
* BTC.Top
* Bitcoin.com
* BitClub
* SuperNova
* Other (17.6%) which can be anyone who is not announcing who they are. probably smaller miners and also miners like BitFury which had their share of the hashrate drop.

I don't see btc.top in the miners list.
I also checked with archive.org and we have:
btc.top gone = 1155 phs
viabtc - decreased more than 700 phs
btc.com - decreased more than 400 phs
btcc - decreased some 100 phs

but also shush pool gained some 400 phs

Edit: to be clear, I compared the "top" pools as shown by btc.com main page between today and sep 29

Those mining pools will come back to BTC as soon as the new "BCH difficulty-increase" fork hits the blockchain
