Title: Does anybody know how I can transfer coins from my wallet using Electrum?
Post by: Tazmaniac on November 12, 2017, 08:10:28 PM
Hello,
I have recently installed Electrum.
My wallet is currently with Strongcoin, but I am having problems transferring from Strongcoin, so have decided to try Electrum instead.
When I imported it into Electrum, I was only given the option to watch my wallet, not to transfer funds from it.
Does anybody know how I can transfer coins from my wallet using Electrum?

If you're only given the option to watch the wallet and not to send funds out, you've probably only used the Bitcoin address. Bitcoin address can't be used to send the BTC in them without their corresponding private keys. It appears that you can export your private keys from Strongcoin by either  using the paper wallet mechanism or for each account you can supply the password and decrypt your private key in the browser. (https://strongcoin.com/blog/frequently_asked_questions). Once you have the private key for your account you should be able to import it into Electrum.
