Can people share their success stories with free airdrops?
Have you made a lot of money from an airdrop?
Which one was that?

The airdrops that you see nowadays aren't the same airdrops as back in the day. 99% of the airdrops are worthless now.
If you want to make $$ you gotta find that right airdrop to join. If you're lucky you get to join an airdrop with a good dev team and some purpose behind the coin.

I don't think you can make a fortune with airdrops though you can have pleasant surprises sometimes.

Not airdrops but I saw someone on this forum that had created a thread saying he made a fortune on bounties by just letting them sit. Its probably true a lot of coins that are quite old and in the top100 did have bounties, let em sit for long enough and those holdings could have increased by 10000% or more.

I'm not literally into airdrops but there are people that are focused with it. I have read some people in some other websites that are into it, they are earning mostly $1,000 just for a single month after converting all of those airdrops they've collected. Just like the saying that everything goes depending to the effort you'll do, the numbers of ICOs that are coming everyday I guess you can make it if you'll allocate too much with it.

You gotta weed through a load of garbage to find the couple of decent ones. At the same time, you have to take an objective look in order to recognize when to hop in and hop out. I made a good amount of money from DeepOnion airdrop, but I also know a lot of people have/are losing a shitton of money through DO as well. There were much better airdrops way back when. I got .125 BTC worth of BLOCK just for being a Senior Member (I think) when it launched.

It is almost impossible mate, all those airdrops who are giving shitty coins for free are a total failure, they are giving those coins for free because they know that nobody is going to pay a cent in order to get their coins, and this is why they create an airdrop, because people would feel tempted to buy some in order to receive the free coins.
Nobody made a fortune because it is not possible, and if the coin was a succes, then those who had the free airdrop probably have some bucks, but not a fortune at all.

I agree with QFT. A while back, you would be able to sell the airdropped coins at a price fairly close to the price they promised. The problem now is that they airdrop useless coins which they inflate the prices of so they seem valuable in the airdrop- for free publicity. Now you have to look really hard for an airdropped coin with a true value and not an EXTREMELY inflated one.

Made fortune? Oh no, I never earn more than 0.1 eth from airdrop. How we can say big furtune. It is better to join campaign program better than airdrop. From campaign I earn more than 1 BTC it is a big fortune. You will get big profit from free gift of airdrop. I think if you are looking for airdrop you will find you tired in this crypto, like joining " faucet".

Those who made "fortunes" with airdrops know that they are probably lying, it is impossible guys, nobody was able to make a lot of money from them because all those coins that were coming from airdrops are a shit, they are not giving anything to the community and this is the main reason of why they are such that garbage.
Maybe deeponion is one of the best airdrops because a lot of people are using them, and it has been prooved a lot of times that they are probably the most legit airdrop that exists, but yes, you need to wear their signature in order to be paid.

I'm not a consummate professional at this altcoiny thing, so i can't put a real success story here (at least not yet :D), but i think you better combining airdrops with bounty hunting. Of course, it's more time consuming then simply going after airdrops, but more rewarding too.

It's impossible to make 'fortune' from the air... with airdrops.
If you are valuing your time, you will find a better way to spend it.
Some brought some decent money like eBTC but those are exceptions. Almost all airdrops are worthless. Or they will bring you what? $1-$3/h?

I doubt you can make a fortune nowadays with airdrops, There are generous and good ones behind a great idea or project but making a fortune out of airdrops is almost impossible to nothing. Though I can't be 100% sure , maybe you just have to dig and find it. But at the moment never heard of one.

I never get the airdrop which is actually only a little value but after a while now the coin is quite a large price and when I sell it the result can be to help my life needs even though it can only be a few times

Airdrops nowadays are highly disorderly. There used to be a time when if a certain token is being airdropped, the expectation is  pretty high. The value of the airdropped coins is significant and then it has a complete vision as a cryptocurrency. It is a complete project so to speak. Right now, 99% percent of airdropped coins are simply exploiting the fact that token creation is a very easy thing to do. Airdrops today will not give you money.

No, Almost airdrop which collect participants info are scam or spammers.
You should get trouble in future when they spam your info. And once a day unlucky you click on link in that scam email then all your token gone!

No it is almost impossible to make decent money out of airdrops, yet most of airdrops are basically not worth more than water or paper. But if you are lucky you may make some money from airdrops, after months!

I dont think that there is anybody who will give you a significant amount of money just for signing in. I think that airdrops are just a waist of time. My advice is to save a litle amount (100$ will do) and start trading. You would have a bigger chance to hit the jackpot.
A better chance you have joining ICOs. But you should do youre research because there are many of them who just want to scam you.

Not sure if anyone has really made a fortune from airdrops. If there are any I have definitely not heard of them. But maybe the thing is that people have not been holding airdrop coins for longer terms as its free money and these coins are usually sold or traded for coins that the receiver is bullish about in long terms.

The only airdrop coin that made me some money was POS token and I still hold some of it in hope of getting higher price as it is steadily increasing.

You can't make a fortune making an airdrop a-priory. Maybe some years ago this could be possible but not today.

airdrop is invaluable as a technology involving a large number of people in a coin turnover. This is marketing. And if you participate honestly in the distribution of coins, you will receive an equivalent of 1-5 dollars. Counting on large amounts is not necessary. Not exactly a fortune, but entirely depends how lucky you get and what airdrops you receive. I have seen some pull great profits but free money is always fun.

I made good money from Airdrops.

Faircoin was airdropped sort of you had to solve captchas. I made 2.4 btc from that.

Yeah, I received free ecash tokens from airdrops which maybe that time cost for an average of $160,  ;D
I feel so lucky when I received it and I feel that I don't need to work for 1 week because I already have for our 1 week budget. LOL. But it is still good to earn more and to have a good savings for future, but also be careful on joining airdrops because not all of them are legit.

It seems to me that no one got rich. Many of us received the free coins but it is very small. Wealth is not called. We got some money. Only whales who have a lot of bitcoins have received quite a large sum. It seems to me that the growth of bitcoin in cash is related to the fact that the whales decided to get rid of those coins and before it raised the price on them.

Airdrops mostly are scam

I think what you can get from airdrops cannot give you more money out of it because you only receive a portion of stake unlike bounty campaigns that runs for a month or two then you can claim more tokens than airdrop.
That's why many will prefer bounty campaigns over airdrop because you'll get more share and money.

Indeed, I've been participated a lot of airdrops but I only receive a few of single token and none of them gave me good stakes but wasted time. Most airdrop today are scams and they are only after with your bitcointalk account information and they're not giving you any good coins and most of those coins cannot be exchanged into other coins.

Honestly I did with ebtc. Wasn't expecting that a couple of thousands could drop on my laps for free. Just for filling googlesheet I became richer.

Wow! That's exciting! Do they still give you coins until now? I heard someone tagged Faircoin as scam that's why I haven't been able to check that out.

Exactly this. Bounty campaigns are way more profitable than airdrops in bitcointalk forum. The pro about airdrops is that we simply fill a form and do nothing else and we may or may not get tokens which are worth something for minimum time investment which is great. On the other hand, bounty campaigns are a lot more reliable and they reward a lot more money when compared to airdrops almost all the time.

I am collecting bounties and airdrops to accumulate some BTC to play with. I browse and post on the forums anyway so might as well earn some free coins/tokens with it. I've seen posts of people on this forum who feed their families with their bounty/airdrop rewards. It's weird in a beautiful way that people are able to earn money with these things and use that money for good, because they live in poverty and want to change that.

I have at least $1000 USD worth of airdrop coins right now. Minereum, POS Token, Senderon and EBTC were some of the best airdrops for me.

I don't think that you can make a fortune out of airdrops,  some of this airdrops look scammy, its more like the devs just want make money and dump the tokens on the market. Although there are some good ones, I just assume that a great developer team can make an airdrop to attract a lot of investors and build a great community behind. Most investors might believe in token and the value might begin reaching new highs, which means massive profits.

I'm into airdrop but not as IN as my friends, meaning they are eager to find and join airdrops and unlike me i just joined what they have already joined, fill out their forms and just chill out. Lucky for my friends they have lots of tokens by the end of the month. In total if they are lucky enough they can get 1 eth or more and as for my case i can only get less than 1 eth. One airdrop only gives 0.1 eth or less, i don't recall the name of the airdrop that gave 0.1 eth to one of my friend. I wish i have joined that airdrop but sadly i didn't consider joining in that airdrop for i am busy at the moment.

I don't think anybody made a fortune from airdrops because most of them didn't even pay. Some of them pays little money and only 1 or 2 project paid good. It doesn't called fortune though. I think airdrops are mainly waste of time, it's like lottery that you have very little chance to get even bubble gum money.

What is it being called Air drops meaning it will come in piece meal. Although I  know some one who made over $300 in only 1 Airdrop. In my own experience with airdrop i have made $120 at once.That was my best so far.

Airdrops can give you little gifts but it is not way to get forune. Nobody do not give you a lot of money for free

It's very hard to make much money from airdrops. eBTC is the recent exception.
I imagine a few years ago (before my time) it was a different story though, NEM and Ripple etc. It's been said that the NEM airdrop would now be worth over $1m.

NEM, the most profitable and most successful airdrop coin thus far. NEM at one point, was considered a scam because some mishaps with the guy who was distributing the funds.

It turns out, there was a community takeover (i believe?) at one point, and they basically turned the coin around. If you had one NEM stake token (or more lol), you are definitely a millionaire today.

There will be other airdrops on the same magnitude, but they will be less frequent and very rare to come by. keep your eyes open, the next NEM may be already ongoing.

Some of my friends already received money because of airdrops but me?? Out of 10 airdrops that i applied, I didnt received any token or any amount on my eth wallet. So not all airdroos are real.

Airdrop has lost its value because there are too many scammers cheating their way to get free tokens using multiple id & username. That's why sometimes you will see people are dumping airdrop tokens for super low price. They don't believe in the project and are just there to bring the token price down.

A fortune with airdrops? depends off course what you mean with a fortune and where you are living. But I don't think it is possible to make big money with airdrops. It is more like "pocket money". When you end up with 5 dollars in your pocket, then you realize most of the airdrops are not worth the time you spent.

Nahhhh alot of scammers around... they steal your information just to have multiple accounts. why those airdrop facilitators just use btc profiles with coin address to avoid these.. or they just ignore it since they just aim to scam as well. tsk3

No, all of my airdrops either a scam or still not worth a lot of money, and I don't expect much from an airdrop because it is a free things and it can be claimed by a lot of users and from the last news I heard that there are viruses in the wallet that they asked to download, I stop hunting from airdrop

I made 1 eth+ from a single one. Depends. There've been a few that were more than worth it, as in 0.3, 0.4 eth.

I just hold some of my airdrops token because it doesn't have value yet, but maybe in the future development of the team behind that project and it can be a worth of fortune!

I don't agree with the Idea of making fortune from airdrops because most of the Airdrops look scammy and moreover most of the Airdrops didn't even pay. That's why to me airdrops are like as waste of time because it's like lottery that one has very little chance to gain from Airdrop.

There are so many dumpers now in the exchanges, I should have made a bit of fortune if I was able to exchange my airdrop tokens fast, yet I haven't checked the exchanges and haven't seen it reached the peak, now it doesn't have any value.

If I knew about them a year ago, maybe I would. There was a number of good and perspective ICO's that made airdrops.

Nowadays, 99.9% of new coins that offer free airdrop will never go mainstream and have no future whatsoever, so if you are able to get a free airdrop and actually sell it on some exchange with $5 profit, that's a very good deal.

Very well explained. It's like cheaters and scammers are making those airdrops work. But I won't blame them because the devs can make rules to avoid multiple registration of alternate accounts so it's not only them who could make a fortune but also other fair participants as well.

I don't think you will get rich from airdrops.. Most of the time it's for the benefit of the organizers them self.

Also too many airdrops going on.. usually it's like 60% to thousands of people and 40 to just few devs...they only need to get few cents for them to dump everything and make decent money out of it. Do this ten times with new blabla name and you made it.

I have tried to join in some airdrops but I was not lucky on airdrops so I am just depending on bounties. I have a friend that made a fortune from airdrops. He has received a lot of tokens from airdrop. He even earned a lot of money from those tokens but it not just luck. He was dedicated on joining airdrops. He even not sleeping just to wait the airdrop so we should not just depend on luck, we should also have dedication for us to earn more.

Seems to welcome Him to the world of crypto. It's really big money to airdrop Just hold it down and let the price increase. And it's only free that you only have to fill up the form. Follow the requirements and Wait for tokens in your wallet.

I concur. Most of the airdrops have no purpose and some ICOs pretend to have a purpose which in fact they will just dump it. Also, some airdrops give vwry little which in fact they had a lot of pre-mined which doesn't really give justice to balance the market.

I was join some ICO a few month back, after the project ICO end i see my Wallet and i don't see anything coin, maybe i have made mistake or other reason.

I wasnt able to try airdrops but  i have a friend who did. She was able to get something out of it though. Although sometimes it may be a little tempting to try it, oh well, who wouldn't want free money. But the risk of having your account hacked is too much that it can't compensate the benefit. I'd rather have it clean through investments rather than free money with the risk of losing it all.

The same has happened to me, but what i have learned subsequently is that some airdrops require you to become a follower on Twitter and or send a Facebook friend request. If you don't meet these standards, then you will not get the airdrops shares.

Some airdrops have become very valuable Decred, NEM and Byteballs come to mind as platforms that have appreciated considerably since their inception.

I actively look for airdrops and add them to my portfolio if I feel they are promising with growth potential and talented marketers.    

In around 2015 was CommunityCoin airdrop and all who wants might receive one stake (1mln coins). And price of one stake was ~1BTC.  

Airdrops nowdays already lose it's value because they are not real project and only looking for donation / selling their stash. The last airdrop that give me quite a lot is eBTC, after that the others want to join eBTC successful airdrop and created bunch of useless tokens which invite a lot of airdrop cheaters and spammers.

What I have seen of air-drops and bounty-programs is that you bring in 300 'facebook-friends' and then you get air-dropped.

They used to call this bullshit MLM. :)

I totally agree with you as this airdops are worthless and most of them are scams. I am tired from these useless airdrops in the past and present. I request you the OP to see about the program how they are making money and then invest your time to gain money.

I've participated in many airdrops already and base in my experience nope i still haven't made a fortune in any airdrops that i participated. Maybe i am just unlucky to participate in wrong airdrops. All free coins that i got are still in my wallet sitting and waiting for a miracle.

I dint make fortune but more than 2 ether I earned only from airdrop I recently started to participate airdrop about 2 months back till that time ebtc and some other good airdrop where finished even I could able to get more than 2 ether till date.

I haven't see any worthy airdrop in a while..so I don't think anyone can get rich soley on airdrops :( but they are good for paying fees :)
