 Many believe that the prices of Bitcoin could jump by nearly 70% from here and could possibly touch $10000 by this Christmas.

Technical analysts and investors have predicted based on the charts, Bitcoin prices have convincingly crossed the price benchmarks of 5k, 6k and 7k dollars. The price-volume charts suggest that there is a bullish sign for the investors which can determine the further direction of momentum and analysts say that there is every possibility it could touch $10000 by the year-end.

Moreover, another reason that can be backed by the fundamental analyst point-of-view is the fact that many big players from the “Wall Street” like Goldman Sachs and the CME Group have decided to actively participate in Bitcoin trading.

CME Group’s chairman and one the most prominent figures from Wall Street – Leo Melamed has shown confidence in Bitcoin saying it to be treated as a new asset class in near future. By bringing cash-settled futures contracts CME Group aims to reduce the volatility in Bitcoin thereby making them more stable and predictable for investors.

OP,this looks like old information and you missed what`s happening with the bitcoin price during the last days.
I pray for the bitcoin price to reach 10 000 USD,but too many altcoin supporters and the Segwit2x supporters are trying to manipulate the BTC price and increase the level of confusion across all core bitcoin users.
Anyway,I will HODL all my btc and wait for the new year. :)

Looks like it will not be possible. The price dropped a bit yesterday, but hopefully recovered since then. For now, I guess it is too late for a nearly 50% increase in one month and a half. But could reach back 7000$ easily.

I think it could be a little hard to reach $ 10,000. Because now bitcoin price down after up reach around  $ 7,400.
I guess some investors move to BCH. My prediction bitcoin can reach $ 8,000 by end of this year !

It is going to reach it because after a time people will begin to buy bitcoins. Now users are waiting to do a investment, because they want it to drop more. Nothing can rise forever.

Moneymakers are shifting between BTC and other coins for gaining profits (pump and dump)
Or you go long term or take profit in daytrading

I would have doubted this yesterday just because the BCH surge seemed like it would last long. Now that it is dead, $10,000 is very attainable. Time to HODL again in peace.

Still hopeful on this speculation? These whales aren't going to make it happen for this year but still it can just quickly pump up to $10,000 but not at the end of this year.

This is my guess either for the end of the year, $10k is hardly possible to happen for this year but $8,000 looks possible but still much better if it will be seen on $10,000.

indeed to reach $ 10k seems unsure of bitcoin by the end of this year,
but anything can happen to bitcoin as well as price increases that often experience a spike after a price reduction from bitcoin and so far there has been no definitive prediction about bitcoin.

It's difficult to happen especially when Bitcoin is downtrend at the moment.
I'm also experienced slower confirmation and more expensive fee so I think there was a significant movement on Bitcoin trader into bch
But I'm still hold my most of Bitcoin !

to know this i do not think so. I predict that bitcoin prices will only reach $ 7000 more, or close to that price. Well, if segwit does not happen in the near future, I predict it like that, but bitcoin always gives a very interesting surprise.

Many supporters of segwit2x which withdrew their support few days before hard fork are now trying to manipulate the btc price and which is affecting the bitcoin market cap within past few days as the price has gone down but now its recovering and soon will be at peak and we can hope for the price to $10k by new year so just HODL.

I don't know what news website you copy/pasted this from but I don't agree with it.  Before the dump, with the kind of run BTC had, it would have reached 10k by Christmas, easy.  But after the dump?  Maybe it's safer to say that it will reach 10k USD around February 2018?

The point is to adjust your expectations to what the market is doing now.

Well, we cannot predict that yet. Corrections are likely possible, but with bitcoin full of surprises. I will not say anything is impossible at this stage. It would reach back even more than $7000 pretty soon and with that we should be expecting some new ATH soon, which makes me not to believe that there is every possibility that bitcoin can reach that level by December.

What we have presently arejust manipulation that is already not lasting, so the best is to get in on the train now to make some profit.

Many thought the manipulation was going to end Bitcoin, a friend of mine even sold half of his Bitcoin portfolio so he can join the train on Bitcoin Cash. Though I pleaded with him to just allow the market to settle, but he wouldn't listen.

Well for me, I am strong Bitcoin believer and I still hold on tight to my believe that Bitcoin will hit $10,000 by the end of this year. It is already bouncing back to its price before last weekend manipulation. I am sure we will be seeing some bullish run soon as people's confidence in Bitcoin is renewed.

I believe possible the price of bitcoin will reach 10k  dollars before end of this year . But if that happen maybe in the month of january 2018 . So if you want to earn more money invest now in bitcoin. Many people want bitcoin price reach that amount .

Have mentioned a couple of times before how I haven't really moved past the 4 or 4.5k mark, particularly because the moves beyond that have been so fast with no real holding level beyond a week.

While I didn't discount a move towards 10000 by end of 2017, I have still been psychologically at 4500.

But the recent week, with BCH failing past the initial run, amd Bitcoin returning to pre s2x suspension levels with such strengths, I'm very ready to see the new stable price at 7000.

I too feel that we currently are past levels that are justifyable for the time period we're in, but this market keeps rushing forward ignoring everything that makes sense, and that no matter how much we analyze the market and its past performance. I think a lot of current speculation hints towards the assumption of the CME group being allowed to offer future trading, which on its own is a pretty bullish thing to focus on, but we're definitely not there yet. That being said, it's important to understand that one should never look at BCC and think that it has any sort of long term importance. This coin is a pump and dump scheme, which to most people is an obvious fact. It will sink and settle below the 0.1BTC level again, that's pretty much guaranteed. I was too lazy with preparing my older Bitcoin wallet in order to claim BCC in previous times, but the +0.2BTC levels finally convinced me to do so. That's the only right thing to do with these coins, DUMP them.

CME group's one of the biggest reason behind this pump,
many people believed we will see it around $10.000 this year due to CME listing,
well if they're really listing it,we may be can see it around that this year because they're giving us a clue about their listing in Q4 2017.
but,at the same time if they're only giving us a false hope i am afraid we well see the downtrend.
or at least we will not hit $10.000 if they do not fullfill their promise to us.
people already regained their confident after the flash dump due to fork cancelation,
and if nothing goes wrong this move will last until the end of this year or even january 2018ish.

Oops! Its over price and it is impossible to reach. No one expecting bitcoin will reach that limit. Its hard to believe then its very imposibble to make it happen. We can just focus on what's the status of it today. And hoping that it will not fall down.

I am not yet sure how this CME future markets for bitcoin is going to affect the real bitcoin market in the long run. I have heard different theories and some say it is bad for bitcoin in the long run and I kind of agree with it.

but in the short term the hype of it is going to be great. and now that there has been a proper correction and a big dump we can be sure that there will be big rally on the way. there is a lot of profit from the recent altcoin pumps that is waiting to come back to bitcoin when they make sure it is not a bull trap.
this means $10,000 is a possibility in 2 months.

I would not really be surprised at all if it does and moreover, this is very much expected already even before the present massive correction which to me is just the work of whales.

The market will grow back soon and then it is possible we may test a new ATH.

However, like you said, there is so much confidence now for bitcoin's growth and once we start seeing wall street stepping in, then we should expect huge massive movement and more whales.

Well yeah the bitcoin price nowadays is massively affected with the whales speculating it. This recent correction was no doubt a game played by the whales to swallow the small fishes in the market. Many people sold bitcoin and bought bitcoin Gold due to the cosmetic increase in the price of BTG and unfortunately but this has to be happen the BTG is dumped so bad. Bitcoin once again is on the track to growth and hopefully we will see $10K price soon.  ;)

It sure looks bleak right now looking at what has been experienced lately.
But, I would not be surprised at all if it happens. Bitcoin has shown us more than surprise in this year that I would not expect any unexpected outcome at this moment. I feel we may end up testing $10000, though not for long and then by early next year, we would just be thinking of a new ATH than $10000.

Well, we are all hoping the bitcoin to reach that price so we could our bitcoin at higher exchange it will be a Christmas bonus for all of us. Well as far as the bitcoin price right it could be possible in the next year maybe I am just hoping it reaches at least 8,000 US dollars by the end of the year but it would be great if your predictions comes into reality.

And completely agree with you. After the correction the price was recovered very past. It shows that, the price rise will continue. 10000 dollar is the next step.

We have already crossed 8000$ therefore i think it is not so difficult for the price of bitcoin to cross 10000$ at the end of this year. i am sure that bitcoin price will defiantly cross 10000$ at the end of this year.

Reaching $8,000 doesn't mean that $10,000 is breachable before the end of the year. The right term should be " there is chances" but to state that it's not difficult is out of the context as we aren't sure what things can happened as days passing by up to next year.

You know guys, $10,000 can be reached realistically but don't mind if it will not pass by end of the year. The important thing here is, it can happen no matter what and we can see that it has high chance to happened.

Yesterday the price reach 8k dollars and for sure the price of 10k dollars is possible to reach before end of this year 2017. So if you have money now invest now in bitcoin and for sure your money will grow because the price will increase more.

  it's impossible for bitcoin to reach $10,000 by the end of the year. Right now the value of bitcoin is unpredictable and in fact bitcoin drops from $7,800 to $6000 just last week. And from that, I think $10,000 is a bit difficult, maybe it will regain it's value from $8,000 to $9,000 by the end of the year.

It's possible though but we don't have any news hyping it up, casual weak hodlers are usually selling it if Bitcoin already reached a new price. On this case , we still have a lot of days and i think it is too early to discourage the idea that Bitcoin can touch $10K. CME is coming on December and that is one of the reason that Bitcoin might touch the $10K mark.

As Usual we do have a lot of FUD news and articles some of it came from James Dimon and other irrelevant person who always trying to put down Bitcoin;s reputation. Anyway, that's inevitable but the way I see how Bitcoin continuously rise despite of these is something to be acknowledge, don't get discouraged, we still have a lot of days to come. Let's be hopeful.

I'm assuming that you're quoting an older article because right now $10k is absolutely not a 70% rise. In fact it is less than 30% as we speak and closer to a rise corresponding to only around a quater of bitcoin's current value.

If you say that is impossible, no, it is absolutely possible. We've seen it before as well.

With media saying all this about bitcoin i'd actually be surprised if BTC doesn't hit $10k this year.

and yet some people think bitcoin as a bubble , keep say something like that when other people have got their chance for the better future with bitcoin . we have crossed ATH several times this year , really something impossible in bitcoin always happened unexpectedly so quick.

it is clearly that bitcoin always about the game of demands , where the supply are fixed a lot of people come to buy and use bitcoin time after time, expect to get a value on $10,000 by the end of this year are realistic enough, why not?

yes all of us is hoping that someday bitcoin  reach that higher value which it can give us a lot of profit if that time happened.  As of now bitcoin is on 8k we are near on that speculated value i hope there are no new causes that emerge to stop bitcoin on its  journey to the moon .
